So I’m no expert or professional, but I will say I know a thing or two about makeup and I’d like to share some of my personal products I swear by.
•Kat Von D tattoo liner
-This liner really lives up to its name. The brush tip makes it REALLY easy to do precise winged liner and it doesn’t smear, smudge, transfer, or fade. AND it’s waterproof.
•Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade
-I like the ABH brow wiz, but i wanted a product I wouldn’t go through within a month and have to constantly repurchase. I gave the dipbrow a go and I’m never turning back. I’ve had mine for 8 months and I STILL have a lot left, it’s easier to work with, and it’s cheaper than the brow wiz.
•The Balm Meet Matte Hughes liquid lipsticks
-These bad boys are the perfect kind of matte and they stay on all day and don’t budge. Seriously my favorite liquid lippies ever.
•Too Faced Born This Way foundation
-I’ve repurchased this multiple times because I’m hooked on it. I have combination skin and it’s medium-full coverage lasts all day and it’s just always been the perfect match for my skin- plus it comes in 18 different shades!
•Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray
-Everyone hypes this one up, but it’s worth it. It makes my makeup a lot less cakier and of course makes it last longer. I can’t get enough of it.
OH HO HO BOY THIS IS MY FORTE. Also it totally depends on what you consider or what you mean by cute SOOO I’ll just suggest all the lipstick packaging that I personally like and find cute - whether it be ‘kawaii’, ‘elegant’, or ‘punk’ kinds of cute. I’ll also be suggesting lipsticks of all types and formulas, not just in bullet form, and at any price range
Beauty Bakerie Lip Whips/Liquid Lipsticks ( x // x ) [same packaging for both formulas but the different formula colors peering through the tube give the packaging different looks if you know what i mean]
Yves Saint Laurent Lipsticks ( x // x // x ) [I saw the first one irl at Sephora and I just died a lil inside]
Christian Louboutin Lipsticks & Lacquer ( x // x // x // x )
Besame Cosmetics Lipstick ( x ) [simple but cute bullet design]
Mellow Cosmetics Lipsticks ( x ) [another very simple one i just like the matte soft white look it has???]
Urban Decay Vice Lipstick in ‘Trouble Maker’ ( x ) [I think that packaging is exclusive to that shade]
Too Faced Melted Matte Liquid Lipsticks ( x // x ) [idk what it is but the packaging is so cute to me esp in person ESPECIALLY the limited edition Candy Cane packaging. it’s a pretty color and formula]
MILK Cosmetics Lip Products ( x // x ) [they’re supposed to look like highlighters and markers it’s so tacky i love it]
Sephora x Pantone 2016 Color of the Year Lipsticks ( x ) [they’re sold out from sephora so I can’t give a link to buy unless you wanna go eBay and Amazon where they’re more expensive]
Winky Lux Lip Velour Lipstick ( x ) [they look like white and gold pills ahh]
Sugarpill Cosmetics Liquid Lipsticks + Bullet Lipsticks ( x ) [MOST IMPORTANTLY the bullet lipstick okay they look like cute lil pills and ahhhhhhhh gimme i need. their liquid lipstick in the shade Trinket used to have special really adorable artwork packaging when first released but not anymore]
Lime Crime Lip Products ( x // x // x ) [Diamond Crusher is actually just a lip topper but it’s still cute tho. Controversies aside, their Unicorn packaging was one of the first eye catching packaging in the indie market back in the day so I gotta point them out. They also have a Melanie Martinez collab lipstick bullet “Cry Baby” design, but that was limited edition and I haven’t heard if they’ll ever be back in stock again]
Baby Bat Beauty Metallic Lip Cream ( x ) [I like how different the bejeweled top is, as I personally haven’t seen that on other products. I also have a review for their lip creams here if u wanna check it out]
Annnnnnd that’s all I can come up with at the moment. You definitely wanna be hovering the Japanese and Korean cosmetics market for some really cute packaging, but also don’t forget to look into the indie market in general because indie companies have also been coming out with cute packaging!!!

ten essential products I live by!! otherwise known as my glow kit!!
1) The Body Shop Seaweed Clay Mask- this mask is my one and only!!! I use this once a week and it always deep cleans my skin to a perfect amount and doesn’t leave my skin feeling too dry!! (always follow up with moisturizer though!!)
2) Maybelline Clear Great Lash Mascara- I have been obsessed with clear mascara for about a year now for my lashes and brows!! I use it on my brows daily and it is a perfect prep for mascara, clump-free mascara every time!! might even be my favourite product out of all of them!
3) Revlon Matte Balm in Sultry- I don’t wear lip colour very often but when I do, it’s this one. I have multiple of the Revlon matte balms but this is my favourite colour, it’s a sort of dark mauve-y pink and I love it :-)
4) Bene-tint for Lips and Cheeks- !!! A must if you are a minimal makeup gal like me! gives a lil flush to those cheekies and lips! plus it smells like a fresh bouquet of roses…. so…
5) Celestial Moisturizer from Lush- I have been using this moisturizer for almost 3 years now and I don’t think I’ll ever turn back to a different night moisturizer!! my skin loves me because I treat it to this delicious moisturizer on the daily :-) I have acne prone, oily skin and this doesn’t over hydrate, make me break out, or ANYTHING!! it’s just an incredibly gentle and hydrating moisturizer :-) highly suggest
6) Daisy Dream by Marc Jacobs- I LOV dis mainly because it’s a rollerball and those are just the handiest little friends. The scent is so light and yummy, just reminds me of good times so I think that is why I like it so much.
7) The Body Shop Vanilla Perfume Oil- heck!!!! I LOVE genuine vanilla scents. And this smells incredible and reacts incredibly well with my skin, as my neck heats up this creates a nutty vanilla smell and it’s so nice!! I love this so much, and it’s hecking discontinued so I am sad….
8) Covergirl Clump Crusher Extensions mascara- rarely ever wear mascara these days but when I do this mascara never lets me down :-) classic extra black mascara
9) Burt’s Bees Beeswax Lip Balm- I always have at least two of these on me at all times!! hydrating and smells so minty and yummy!! I love these so much.
10) The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil- great for spot treatment or even making your own toner by mixing a few drops of this with warm water!! This is my third bottle this year! I also love to do steam treatments with hot water, drops of this oil and a towel over my head!!
If any of u guys have any inquiries abt any of these products or anything else, don’t be a stranger :-)
My first haul ! It’s a very small one with only small items since it’s my first month of lifting ! I’m happy about everything but now I want bigger things haha. I bought some magnets but I need to buy more since it’s not strong enough to remove tags :(

I get away with everything even thought I set the detector off with one of the lipstick because I forgot to remove the tag haha. I think I looked pretty sus sometimes tho so I really need to improve that.
I think I’m ready to lift bigger things like pallets and clothing.
I went to my local Brand Melville and the changing room was unattended, I almost got one t-shirt but my magnet didn’t work (or I didn’t do it the right way ?). Also the store seems super easy, they were a lot of hanger with nothing on it near the changing room and inside it ??? Plus no LP !
The phone case was super easy to lift, I just hide it a pile of clothing and went to the changing room to conceal, the girl didn’t notice anything.
A while back, we created a post that covered the different beauty products worth investing in, and I thought it would be fun to do a drugstore version to showcase the tried-and-true products I’ve been using for years. A majority of my beauty supply shopping is carried out at drugstores like Walgreens, CVS and Duane Reade, and so over the years I’ve tried an absurd amount of products. I’ve always been somewhat of a beauty supply junkie, and I used to find it difficult to finish a product (like lotions and chapsticks) before I found myself running out to the store to try another. Obviously this behavior was not budget friendly, and so I’ve learned to weed out my impulse to buy something because the packaging is nice, and replace is with more productive behaviors. Now, I only go to the drugstore once a month when all of my products have run out, and I need to replenish my stock.
It look me a long time to figure out which products I liked, but now that I know which ones work best and yield consistent results, it will be tough for other items to supplant these long time favorites. Although I do splurge on items like mascara (I haven’t found a drugstore mascara I like better) and fancy eyeshadows for special occasions, the products below are part of my daily go-to routine. Take a look below at the 10 drugstore items I swear by.
Maybelline Fresh Dream BB Cream — $6.29
I’ve tried MANY BB creams in my day but the coverage, smoothness, and quality of this one cannot be beat. It’s not too heavy or cakey, and it has a hint of sheerness to it which makes it great for your summer beauty routine.
I couldn’t believe how inexpensive and effective this charcoal & black sugar polishing mask was. The girl behind the counter recommended I try it, and the Allure beauty seal of approval convinced me. I usually leave it on for about 10 minutes and then scrub it off to reveal fresh glowing skin that is super soft and supple feeling.
Studio 35 Beauty Cocoa Butter Lotion — $7.49
Of all the store-brand bottles of lotion this one is my favorite. It smells like the beach, spreads easily, and dries quickly, so it doesn’t leave you feeling sticky or gross. I highly recommend this brand if you have it available in stores nears you.
Revlon Colorstay Liquid Eyeliner — $7.99 and NYCX Wonder Pencil in Nude — $4.49
No joke, I have tried nearly EVERY variety of liquid eyeliner at the drugstore. It is my beauty staple, and I usually won’t leave the house without a swipe of it on my upper lids. This is the brand I swear by because the brush is perfectly thin enough to achieve the cat-eye look. The color is very dark and not watered down, and the liner almost has a gel-like consistency. I then use the nude eyeliner pencil on the bottom which opens the eyes and makes them look wider. I’ve tried a lot of different eyeliners from Sephora, and this one is my favorite.
Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm — $9.79
This is a great summer lip color that goes on smooth and doesn’t smudge. Although it’s matte, it doesn’t feel too dry on your lips, and it glides on easily without requiring any lipliner. The color above is called “Standout.”
Studio 35 Beauty Oil-Free Makeup Remover — $7.49
Before I go to bed each night I make sure to take off ALL my makeup. Trust me, this is a step I do not skip, as my skin is prone to breakouts. I could be stumbling home after a night of heavy drinking, and I’ll be damned if I slip up my pre-bed beauty routine that consists of make-up removal, a face wash, and moisturizer.
Nivea Soft Face, Body, Hands Lotion — $1.29
I always moisturize with this Nivea lotion before bed. It’s super soft and light, and is a product I’ve been using for years. This little pod is perfectly sized for carry-on bags for when I travel, and lasts up to about three weeks. A little goes a long way, so the $1.29 price you pay for this is well worth it.
This Ology brand soap is a relatively new discovery, and I’ve been using it for about the last year and a half. I love it because it smells like hEaVeN, and the bars are entirety natural. No harmful chemicals, no plastic beads that make you smell like a bon bon, just real ingredients packaged in a beautiful hand drawn label. My heart <3.
St. Ives Blemish Control Apricot Scrub — $4.49
As someone who has combination skin, it’s been difficult for me to find a face wash that cleans my skin but doesn’t leave it feeling dry. I’ve tried nearly every face wash at the drugstore and a wide variety of ones prescribed by my dermatologist, but this one is my favorite. It smells great, minimizes my breakouts, and leave my skin feels super clean.
Although everyone has their preferences for makeup and beauty essentials, if you’re looking to try some great products that won’t break the bank, the items listed above are a great place to start. (FIY all thoughts/opinions are entirely my own and no one is paying me to say this)
