I swear, killing off Hannah and Beth in Sims 4 was hard. I’d really bonded with them.
I’ve got them saved in another file, but for my main gameplay file - which is set in the aftermath of the events at Blackwood - obviously they couldn’t be around. Luckily I didn’t have to muck about allowing their needs to drop to zero - I cheated to get them out of the way. I was hoping to do the deed while Josh and the parents were in bed, but true to form Josh was up earlier than I expected - and he witnessed it.
The next couple of days were freakin’ awful as I tried to deal with Josh’s Very Sad moodlet. There’s a rather disturbing thing about continuity in Sims 4: if Sims don’t witness a death, they don’t get a moodlet or emotion associated with it, even if they knew the deceased. So Josh’s parents - and even Sam - were bright and chirpy even though they all had high relationships with the twins. Meanwhile Josh was wandering around looking totally miserable. Just because he witnessed the death. Ouch. Ouch ouch.
At least this meant Sam could comfort him.
The one consolation was that now with the twins out of the way, I was able to skip ahead in continuity to after the events of Until Dawn and Josh’s rehabilitation. From here on I’m going to play out my headcanons as to what happened to the kids afterwards.
Starting, of course, with Ashley and Chris’ wedding. This I imagine taking place about two years after Blackwood, so Josh is about 23 (my age!), Sam and Chris are 22 and Ashley is 21.
This would also be my first wedding in Sims 4 so I was nervous. But it went off without a hitch. Ba-dum chsh.
Well, OK, there was one hitch. I had not counted on BETH AND HANNAH’S FREAKIN’ GHOSTS SHOWING UP.
Oh my god, only Sims could generate a scenario this bizarre.
So, while the ghosts of his sisters were scaring the pants off everybody downstairs, I managed to sneak away Josh and Sam for a little bit of heart-to-heart.
The ‘Kiss on Cheek’ interaction is one of my very favourites. But that’s not all they got up to.
(This again follows my private headcanon universe, which has Josh and Sam get together at Chris and Ashley’s wedding, after they’ve had time to heal and recover from the events at Blackwood.)
Also, Sims can make heart-shaped cookies when they’re in a ‘Flirty’ mood. I did not know this and I can barely describe how cute it is.
After the wedding, I moved Chris and Ash into a different house, far better suited to their needs… or what they will be. Because first comes love, then comes marriage…
What was meant to be a short drabble to get my feelings about Until Dawn out (and also practice writing), turned into this huge nightmare of a fic. Not really quite a ReaderxJosh fanfic but a (what might be) set-up for a potential relationship/close friendship in the future depending on how you look at it? - Gender-Neutral Reader - Warnings/Notes: Past Bullying, Cursing, Mild Violence, Canon-divergence - Wordcount: 14,328
Josh imagine where they all hang out at the lodge (pre game so Hannah and Beth
too) and it’s just really cute and Josh is always touching the reader and
giving little kisses
Hope you like it! Enjoy.

on the door, waiting outside in the freezing cold, you waited on someone to
answer it. You were at the annual winter getaway, but arrived late. Traffic was
horrible and you had been stuck for more than an hour.
After a few seconds, you could see Beth’s head popping behind the little
window. When making eye contact, her eyes immediately lit up, making you
chuckle. She opened the door.
“Oh my god, Y/n! It is so nice to see you!” She squealed while she pulled you
into a hug. You chuckled wrapping your arms around her neck. Still embracing you,
she pulled you inside the lodge, where you finally pulled apart. You kicked to door
shut with your foot, and turned your attention towards Beth.
“We saw each other like yesterday, but it’s nice to be back!” She nodded her
head, chuckling at your statement.
“Come in, Josh is probably waiting for you.” She said while wiggling her
eyebrows. You playfully punched her shoulder, and followed her towards the living
room. Josh and you have been dating for a few months now, and you couldn’t deny
that you were both very clingy to each other.
“She finally arrived, Mrs. (L/n)!” Mike exclaimed, everybody turned around and
cheered making you chuckle. You greeted everyone, but suddenly noticed a
presence behind you. You squealed as two hands covered your eyes.
“Guess who?” You chuckled before turning around embracing Josh.
“I missed you, babe.” He said while kissing the top of your head, his arms
wrapped around your waist.
“We literally saw each other yesterday, but I missed you too.” You pecked his
lips several times.
“Ugh, get a room you two!” Hannah exclaimed, walking out of the kitchen
carrying two beers and handing one to you. You let go of Josh and grabbed the
bottle, before grabbing Josh’ hand, guiding him towards the rest of the group.
You pulled him down on the couch next to you, and immediately curled up beside
him, leaning your head on his shoulder, as his arms wrapped around your
You had some small talk with the others. Mike was with Jessica now and Emily
and Matt were a thing.
“What about Chris and Ash?” You asked Josh in a whisper, looking up at him. He
chuckled and caressed your cheek with one of his hands.
“Chris needs to take Ash to the bone zone, it’s so obvious they like each
other.” You looked at Josh before replying.
“Bone zone? Seriously? Major turn off.” He chuckled and connected his lips to
yours. You cupped his cheeks with your hands as you slowly moved towards his
lap. Your kiss was interrupted by Jessica squealing that you two looked cute
together. You sat on his lap, and Josh sneaked his arms ariund your waist
pulling you closer. You let your head fall back onto his shoulder, exposing
your neck. Josh took advantage of that and started nibbling and kissing your
“Oh my god, Josh! Not here.” You giggled as you tried to push him away. You
heard Emily scoff, before standing up.
“Matt and I are going to unpack our stuff, see ya later, losers.” She grabbed
Matt’s hand pulling him towards the stairs, and disappearing into their room.
“He’s totally going to take her to the bone zone…” You started laughing, the
rest joining you.
“The bone zone, really, Josh? Where did
you get that from?” Hannah asked in between breaths, holding her stomach while
she was laughing. Beth was leaning against her sister, tears rolling down her
“Hey, I want to show you something.” Josh whispered in your ear, making you
“What?” You turned a bit to look Josh in his eyes. There was something about the
way he looked at you, that made you didn’t ask any more questions.
“It’s a surprise…” You stood up, Josh grabbing your hand. You said goodnight to
everyone, but you could hear Beth say something about Josh taking me to the
bone zone, making everyone crack up again.
Josh grabbed your jacket and guided you towards the back door.
“Put this on, it’s pretty cold out.” You put on your jacket, then grabbed Josh’
hand again as he guided you outside.
You walked for a few minutes before arriving at a cute little cabin, separated from
the lodge. He smiled at you and unlocked it. As soon you stepped in, you were
welcomed by the warmth of the cabin. There was a fire going, and several
“Josh, this is amazing, you set up all this, for me?” He nodded and pulled you
towards the couch. He nodded at the Tv, where you’re favorite movie was set up.
“I thought maybe we could watch come movies while we cuddle?” You smiled at
Josh and nodded. Putting off your shoes and jacket, you curled up against Josh,
as he started the movie.
You spend the whole night cuddling and watching movies, occasionally kissing,
cause Josh said you could kiss better than the people in the film.
