Wake You The Fuck Up Tea

A sequel to my Knock You The Fuck Out Tea

This is a Matcha based tea that always helps me when I’m feeling sluggish. It also helps lift my depressive moods.

Ingredients: 

☀1/2 tsp Matcha powder

☀1/3 tsp Ginger powder (more or less to taste)

☀Honey (as much or as little as you want)

☀Lemon slice/5-8 drops Lemon juice

Preparation:

Dump the Matcha powder, Ginger powder, and Honey into a cup. A rounded bowl style tea cup is best. A proper Matcha bowl is even better ;) Pour hot water (let it boil then cool for a sec so it’s hot and steaming but not bubbling) over ingredients. Add Lemon. Mix WELL. Again, proper tools are best for Matcha, so I advise using a whisk for this. A metal one works but a Bamboo one made for Matcha does the job best ^^

Enjoy~ Magick-wise the Ginger has energizing properties, the Lemon clears a foggy mind, and Green Tea has associations with wealth! This would make a GREAT work drink.  

Green Tea Coconut Oil Scrub

Ingredients:
1 green tea bag
¼ cup filtered water
¼ teaspoon matcha powder
1 cup coconut oil
½ cup salt or sugar

Instructions:

  • Brew a strong cup of green tea with the tea bag and the water. Let it cool to room temperature or refrigerate.
  • Combine the oil, sugar and matcha in a medium bowl and stir well to combine. Add 1/8 cup of the cooled green tea and mix well. If not using the matcha, add the remaining 1/8 cup of green tea.
  • Store in an airtight container and use in the shower to gently exfoliate your skin.

Notes:

  • If using salt, please do not use as a face scrub. Use on body only. Use 1-2 times per week.
  • If using sugar, please use on your face only 1-2 times per week, and on your body no more than 3 times per week.

Powdered Sugar

1. Measure the ingredients. Chop the chocolate and put it into a heatproof container with milk. Microwave for about 15 seconds.

2. Bring the butter to room temperature. Cream the butter and sugar well. Add the beaten eggs and mix very well.

3. Sift the flour and matcha in the bowl and mix.

4. Add the dissolved chocolate and mix well.

5. Line a pound cake mold with parchment paper and pour in the mixture. Bake in the oven preheated to 355F/180C, for about 30 minutes.

6. Chill and serve with Mint Leaves on top. It’s soft and chewy!

the coolest part about this tea bowl is that it’s not even glazed – the unique hues on the bowl’s exterior were added by flame and ash as the piece was long-fired. how gorgeous is this piece?! i’m in love, ceramicsbydw.

Matcha + Pitaya Smoothie Bowl
If you encounter exotic fruits you’ve never eaten, give them a try. Worst case scenario is you don’t like it and to me that’s way better than never knowing ☺️ My smoothie bowl was 7 bananas, half blended with matcha powder and half blended with pink pitaya (dragon fruit) which you will have the best luck finding at an Asian market if you live in The States. I made some raw treats out of dried figs, mulberries, oats and some spices.. no recipe yet. I hope everyone has a wonderful and healthy day!

MATCHA KALE BANANA SMOOTHIE BOWL

[vegan]

Smoothie base was: one whole banana, big handful of kale, three dates, unsweetened almond milk and one heaping teaspoon of organic matcha powder. Topped with fresh figs, blueberries, shredded coconut, hemp seeds, and ground chia seeds!
