KANEKO’S CRIB NOTES, part II

The top image is a plate that appears in an esoteric text from 1616, simply titled “Cabala,” by one S. Michelspacher. The central beast figure is meant to symbolize the primordial chaotic matter as produced by the falls of both Satan and Adam.

That beast bears a striking resemblance to Shin Megami Tensei II’s Master Therion, a demon influenced by infamous British occultist and general party animal Aleister Crowley and the devlish names he would impose upon himself.

Kazuma Kaneko’s design is obviously at least partially modeled after this plate, with a few added…embellishments, let’s say, to fit the nature of Aleister Crowley and his self-image as The Great Beast (To Mega Therion), 666.

The Devil does not exist. It is a false name invented by the Black Brothers to imply a Unity in their ignorant muddle of dispersions. A devil who had unity would be a God.
It was said by the Sorcerer of the Jura that in order to invoke the Devil it is only necessary to call him with your whole will. This is an universal magical truth, and applies to every other being as much as to the Devil. For the whole will of every man is in reality the whole will of the Universe.
It is, however, always easy to call up the demons, for they are always calling you; and you only have to step down to their level and fraternize with them. They will then tear you in pieces at their
leisure. Not at once; they will wait until you have wholly broken the link between you and your Holy Guardian Angel before they pounce, lest at the last minute you escape.
The Devil. is, historically, the God of any people that one personally dislikes. This has led to so much confusion of thought that the MASTER THERION has preferred to let names stand as they are, and to proclaim simply that AIWAZ the solar-phallichermetic, Lucifer, is His own Holy Guardian Angel, and .The Devil. SATAN or HADIT of our particular unit of the Starry Universe. This serpent, SATAN, is not the enemy of Man, but HE who made Gods of our race, knowing Good and Evil; He bade .Know Thyself!. and taught Initiation. He is .the Devil. of the Book of Thoth, and His emblem is BAPHOMET, the Androgyne who is the hieroglyph of arcane perfection. The number of His ATU is XV, which is Yod Hé, the Monogram of the Eternal, the Father one with the Mother, the Virgin Seed one with all-containing Space. He is therefore Life and Love. But moreover his letter is Ayin, the Eye; he is Light, and his Zodiacal image is Capricornus, that leaping goat whose attribute is Liberty.

The TEITAN whose number is the number of a man, six hundred and three score and six.unsubdued, consoled by Austral Asia and Panthea, must send forth constant showers of blessing not only upon Man whose incarnation he is, but upon the tyrant and persecutor. His infinite pain must thrill his heart with joy, since every pang is but the echo of some new flame that leaps upon the earth lit by his crime. For the Gods are the enemies of Man; it is Nature that Man must overcome ere he enter into his kingdom. THE TRUE GOD IS MAN. IN MAN ARE ALL THING HIDDEN. Of these the Gods, Nature, Time, all the powers of the universe are rebellious slaves. It is these that men must fight and conquer in the power and in the name of The Beast that hath availed them, the Titan, the Magus, the Man whose number is 666.

THE REVELATION OF JOHN THE DIVINE
CAP 13

1 And I saw a beast rise out of the sea, having seven heads, and ten horns, and
upon his horns were ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.
2 And the beast which I saw was like a leopard, and his feet like a bear, and his
mouth as the mouth of a lion; and the dragon gave him his power and his throne,
and great authority.
3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death, but his deadly wound
was healed, and all the world wondered and followed the beast.
4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast, and they
worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? Who is able to war
with him?
5 And there was given unto him a mouth, that spake great things and
blasphemies, and power was given unto him, to do two and forty months.
6 And he opened his mouth unto blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his
Name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.
7 And it was given unto him to make war with the Saints, and to overcome
them, and power was given him over every kindred, and tongue, and nation.
8 Therefore all that dwell upon the earth, shall worship him, whose names are
not written in the book of life of the Lamb, which was slain from the beginning of
the world.
9 If any man have an ear, let him hear.
10 If any lead into captivity, he shall go into captivity; if any kill with a sword,
he must be killed by a sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the Saints.
11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth, which had two horns
like the Lamb, but he spake like the dragon.
12 And he did all that the first beast could do before him, and he caused the
earth, and them which dwell therein, to worship the first beast, whose deadly
wound was healed.
13 And he did great wonders, so that he made fire to come down from heaven
on the earth, in the sight of men,
14 And deceived them that dwell on the earth by the signs, which were
permitted to him to do in the sight of the beast, saying to them that dwell on the
earth, that they should make the image of the beast, which had the wound of a
sword, and did live.
15 And it was permitted to him to give a spirit unto the image of the beast, so
that the image of the beast should speak, and should cause that as many as
would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.
16 And he made all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to
receive a mark in their right hand or in their foreheads,
17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of
the beast, or the number of his name.
18 HERE IS WISDOM. LET HIM THAT HATH WIT, COUNT THE NUMBER OF THE BEAST, FOR IT IS THE NUMBER OF A MAN, AND IS NUMBER IS SIX HUNDRED THREESCORE AND SIX.

Kabalistically TEITAN = 300 + 5 + 10 + 300 + 50 = 666

Teitan: is the form of the Chaldean SHAITAN, God-Devil of the ancient Sumerians, the Fiery Angel Melek Taus, the God of the Yazidis, whose secret name, according to Crowley, is AIWASS.

The right strength and terrible killing eternally abortions was appointed by the Jews Samuel, from the Eastern Satan, Lucifer by the Latins.
The Lucifer cabal is not an angel cursed and electrocuted; is the angel with fire illuminates and regenerates; are the angels of peace as the comet to the quiet stars of the spring constellations.
The fixed star is beautiful, radiant and calm; drinks are heavenly aromas and love watching the sisters in bright clothing, the front adorned with diamonds; smiles singing his song in the morning and evening, enjoys an eternal rest that nothing could disturb and proceeds solemnly along the way that the guardians of light have given her.
The rogue comet instead, bloody and disheveled rushes from the depths of the sky, rushes between quiet spheres as a war chariot of a procession of Vestal, dares to face the fiery sword of the guardians of the Sun and, as a bride who seeks the lost groom dreamed in his widows nights, comes up the tabernacle of the king of the day, then escapes exhaling the fires that devour and dragging along a fire; stars pale at his approach, the flocks grazing starry flowers of light prairie sky seem to escape his terrible breath. (…)
The uncreated light, which is the Divine Word, rays, because wants to be seen, and when he says, is light, open your eyes and creates intelligences:
When God said, Let there be light, the intelligence was made and the light appeared.
So Intelligence scattered by God with the breath of his mouth like a star detached from the Sun, took the form of a beautiful angel and the sky greeted him with the name of Lucifer. Intelligence awoke and all are included in hearing these words of the Divine Word: Let there be light!
She felt free because God had ordered her to be, and, raising his head and spread his wings, he replied:
“I will not be slavery.”
“You will be then the pain?” Asked the voice uncreated. “I will be the Liberty” said Light.
“The Pride will deceive you,” continued the voice uncreated “and thou shalt bring forth death.”
“I need to fight against the death to win the Life” still filming the Light created …

Eliphas Levi

In the cabal the number 6 is associated with the sephiroth Tipheret dominated by the sun, in the same plane lies the supreme self, or Guardian Angel. The 6 refers therefore, to the dual nature of the Logos as divine and human; the interlacing of the upright and averse triangles in the hexagram. It is
the first number of Sun, whose last number1 is 666, the number of a man..
The Sun being 6, a square 6 × 6 contains 36 squares. We arrange the numbers from 1 to 36 in this square, so that each line, file, and diagonal adds to the same number. This number is 111; the total of all is 666.

anonymous asked:

Are there any books in particular you would recommend to someone learning tarot? Or exercises? I wish I was as good as you :(

No frowning! (Unless it is because your cards are telling you to do that thing you have been actively avoiding, then you’re allowed to frown as you start to do that thing, at last.)

I will tell you the secret to my success. Be bitchy. Be stubborn. Throw cards when you feel like it and when you don’t. Note how your interpretations differ when in different mindsets and then use that to your advantage. Learn a system to start out with the cards, but then pay attention to the nuances and (not so) subtle differences that you will pick up on. If the system is not working for you, try another system or use your own.

After all, while the popular systems used now (Waite and Crowley are at the top of that list) have all sorts of words written to justify their assignments, the truth of the matter is it was all arbitrary in the first place!

Play with your cards. (And not just tarot poker, either.) What-If, If-This-Then-That, Lie-To-Me, Tarot OTP. [Shameless Plug] Take part in public participation posts like my What Does The Deck Say daily series, where there are no right answers. Whatever those cards say to you is what they say. [End Shameless Plug] Be silly. Draw two cards and write what the first card would say to the other.

Be consistent. If you have settled on one system, use that system as exclusively as you can. Your understanding of that system will drift from the book. This is normal and to be expected. The “book” is more guideline than absolute rule, even in those systems where absolute conformity is to be expected. ~sips coffee and side eyes a few public figures~ But that drifting will take time and practice. If you are just starting out, stick with the book until your understanding takes you elsewhere.

Listen to your intuition. If you draw the Death card, but the reading speaks to you about the birth of a new endeavor, which is wrong? Your cards or your understanding? Neither. Don’t be afraid to say something that contradicts the book meanings of the cards you drew. There are 26 letters in the English language, and they can be combined to lift spirits or to crush them using formal language or street slang. The tarot has 78 cards (79 w/ Happy Squirrel), and they can be combined to bring hope or announce doom in just the same way. You are translating the cards into a language your querent can understand. (If they want to is an entirely different rant.)

Don’t give up on yourself. I didn’t pop out of the womb reading cards. It is very much learning a new language. You’re going to say the wrong things at the wrong times when you start out. Laugh, correct yourself, and keep going. There are a lot of enclaves that set artificially high burdens on new readers, because they’re dicks they see tarot as something more than it has always been, merely a deck of cards. And that’s okay, for them. But if you’re not trying to get admitted into their club, then it is no business of theirs how you throw your cards. Keep practicing. Work and/or play with others. Feel free to bitch out that 8 of Pentacles when you ask the deck how to get better at tarot reading. Enjoy yourself.

“That’s all nice and fun, Keri, but what about books?” Eh… Funny you should say that rhetorical questioner. These are the total books I have read on tarot:

  • “Understanding Aleister Crowley’s Thoth Tarot”, by Lon Milo Duquette. (The first third is a good short primer in Thelema. Necessary if you want all the Thoth goodness.)
  • “The Book of Thoth. A Short Essay on the Tarot of the Egyptians Being The Equinox Volume III No. V. by. The Master Therion (Aleister Crowley)”, which is Crowley’s own words on the Thoth Tarot, and available for a free read at Hermetic.com. (Bring whiskey.)
  • “The Pictorial Key to the Tarot” by Arthur Edward Waite. (This book is drier than the Mojave Desert in July.)
  • The guidebook for the Legacy of the Divine tarot, which I use only when using the Legacy of the Divine deck.
  • The guidebook for the Fey Tarot, which after some vicious redlining of intense misogyny and cultural blindness by the author of that book, Ricardo Minetti, is used only when using the Fey Tarot. (Mara Aghem made a beautiful and welcoming deck, shame she had no choice but to let him write the damn book.)

“But… websites?”

  • The Sweeney Tarot Tumblr! Excuse me while I shameless plug the artist: Lee Bradford. Thank you.
  • Corax for further understanding the Thoth. A privately run site, do consider donating to the site holder if you make extensive use of it.
  • Google.

“Classes? Certifications?”

  • None. I have no shinies to hang off my shingle.

That’s it! I’ve picked up little things among my spiritual stumbling, but as that stumbling used either Thelema, Waite’s public book, and/or Golden Dawn meanings as a basis, I can’t really call them out as a source separate to what I have already listed.

Books are only 100% true for the person that wrote them. For everyone else, they are a starting point and a reference. At the end of the day (or 2 in the bloody morning, if you’re like me), there is only you and the deck. Start flipping. Take notes. Don’t be afraid to drift in meanings if your understanding and intuition leads you. Don’t be afraid to try new things, new spreads, or no spreads at all. Play. Enjoy yourself.

You don’t have to take tarot as a religious endeavor unless that is what you want to do. You determine what role tarot reading will play in your life and you have the right to change that role at any time. Approach it in the manner best suited for you.

However, only defenstrate the easily replaceable decks. Trust me.

Oh yea! Fused me a Badass Master Therion!
Here is the formula: (warning you will need the dlc with Uriel in it)
Step 1: take Huang Long and level him up to 80 giving him drain physical. Fuse that with Tlazolteotl to get Aniel.
Step 2: take Yggdrasil and level him up to 66 giving him drain gun. Fuse him with Israfel to get Throne.
Step 3: Take that Throne and that Aniel to fuse Uriel
Step 4: take Hariti and level her up to 39 giving her Null light. Fuse that with Tuofei to get Kaiwan
Step 5: Take that Kaiwan and level him up to 43, giving him null electric and null force.
Step 6: Take that Kaiwan and fuse him with the Uriel made in step 3
And PRESTO a badass dick cow man
Law/neutral is best alignment because yoma has Master Therion (the beast in the end days) who intimidates you with his dick power!
Happy Fusing!

A RHAPSODY TO OUR LADY
(from Liber Aleph vel CXI, The Book of Wisdom and Folly, by The Master Therion)

Blessed be She, Ay Blessed unto the Ages be Our Lady BABALON, that plieth Her Scourge upon me, even upon me, To Mega Therion, to compel me to Creation and to Destruction, which are One, in Birth and in Death, being Love! Blessed be She, uniting the Egg with the Serpent, and restoring Man unto his Mother the Earth! Blessed be She, that offereth Beauty and Ecstasy in the Orgasm of every Change, and that exciteth thy Wonder and thy Worship by the contemplation of Her mind many-wiled. Blessed be She, that hath filled Her Cup with every Drop of my Blood, so that my Life is lost wholly in the Wine of Her Rapture! Behold, how She is drunken thereon, and staggereth about the Heavens, wallowing in Joy, crying aloud the Song of uttermost Love! Is not She thy true mother among the Stars, o my Son, and hast not thou embraced Her in the Maddness of Incest and of Adultery? Yea, blessed be She, blessed be Her Name, and the Name of Her Name, unto the Ages!

Liber II The Message of the Master Therion A∴A∴ Publication in Class E

“Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law.”
“There is no Law beyond Do what thou wilt.”
“The word of the Law is Θελημα.”
Θελημα— Thelema— means Will.
The Key to this Message is this word— Will. The first obvious meaning of this Law is confirmed by antithesis; “The word of Sin is Restriction.”
Again: “Thou hast no right but to do thy will. Do that and no other shall say nay. For pure will, unassuaged of purpose, delivered from the lust of result, is every way perfect.”
Take this carefully; it seems to imply a theory that if every man and every woman did his and her will— the true will— there would be no clashing. “Every man and every woman is a star,” and each star moves in an appointed path without interference. There is plenty of room for all; it is only disorder that creates confusion.
From these considerations it should be clear that “Do what thou wilt” does not mean “Do what you like.” It is the apotheosis of Freedom; but it is also the strictest possible bond.
Do what thou wilt— then do nothing else. Let nothing deflect thee from that austere and holy task. Liberty is absolute to do thy will; but seek to do any other thing whatever, and instantly obstacles must arise. Every act that is not in definite course of that one orbit is erratic, an hindrance. Will must not be two, but one.
Note further that this will is not only to be pure, that is, single, as explained above, but also “unassuaged of purpose.” This strange phrase must give us pause. It may mean that any purpose in the will would damp it; clearly the “lust of result” is a thing from which it must be delivered.
But the phrase may also be interpreted as if it read “with purpose unassuaged”— i.e., with tireless energy. The conception is, therefore, of an eternal motion, infinite and unalterable. It is Nirvana, only dynamic instead of static— and this comes to the same thing in the end.
The obvious practical task of the magician is then to discover what his will really is, so that he may do it in this manner, and he can best accomplish this by the practices of Liber Thisarb (see Equinox I(7), p. 105) or such others as may from one time to another be appointed.
It should now be perfectly simple for everybody to understand the Message of the Master Therion.
Thou must (1) Find out what is thy Will. (2) Do that Will with (a) one-pointedness, (b) detachment, © peace.
Then, and then only, art thou in harmony with the Movement of Things, thy will part of, and therefore equal to, the Will of God. And since the will is but the dynamic aspect of the self, and since two different selves could not possess identical wills; then, if thy will be God’s will, Thou art That.
There is but one other word to explain. Elsewhere it is written— surely for our great comfort— “Love is the law, love under will.”
This is to be taken as meaning that while Will is the Law, the nature of that Will is Love. But this Love is as it were a by-product of that Will; it does not contradict or supersede that Will; and if apparent contradiction should arise in any crisis, it is the Will that will guide us aright. Lo, while in The Book of the Law is much of Love, there is no word of Sentimentality. Hate itself is almost like Love! “As brothers fight ye!” All the manly races of the world understand this. The Love of Liber Legis is always bold, virile, even orgiastic. There is delicacy, but it is the delicacy of strength. Mighty and terrible and glorious as it is, however, it is but the pennon upon the sacred lance of Will, the damascened inscription upon the swords of the Knight-monks of Thelema.
Love is the law, love under will.

I. I, _____, a member of the Body of God, hereby bind myself on behalf of the Whole Universe, even as we are now physically bound unto the cross of suffering:

II. that I will lead a pure life, as a devoted servant of the Order:

III. that I will understand all things:

IV. that I will love all things:

V. that I will perform all things and endure all things:

VI. that I will continue in the Knowledge and Conversation of my Holy Guardian Angel:

VII. that I will work without attachment:

VIII. that I will work in truth:

IX. that I will rely only upon myself:

X. that I will interpret every phenomenon as a particular dealing of God with my Soul.  And if I fail herein, may my pyramid be profaned, and the Eye closed to me.
