Jyn Erso can see ghosts, but that also means that they can see her. And when they see her, they seek her help. Haunted by them day and night, Jyn, once a bright and cheerful girl, walks around like a dark cloud, exhausted and defensive. She cannot let her guard down because if she does, the desperate spirits of the dead have the ability to possess her body–and there exists the chance that they may never give her body back.
Cassian Andor is a man haunted by the ghosts of his past. A former solider, he’s moved on to civilian life without being able to move on from war.
Then a chance meeting one a foggy night changes everything. Jyn, fleeing from the ghost of a woman in white who seeks vengeance on the husband who killed her, literally runs into Cassian who is working security duty for actor Bodhi Rook who is shooting on location in an old graveyard. As soon as she touches him, the ghost vanishes.
At peace for the first time in years, she seeks him again to find out if he is the cure he’s been looking for. But Cassian, a pragmatist and a nonbeliever, think that she’s totally mad. That is, until he sees the ghost of his dead parents and tells him things about himself no one else living knows.
“Do you believe me now?” she asks.
And he just might. Because it will also turn out that not only can he be useful to her, she can be useful to him when Bodhi Rook is implicated in the kidnapping and murder of a young ingenue in the hills just outside his Hollywood home, because with no living witnesses, the next best option might be the dead one–the murdered woman herself.
