20 things I learned at 20

1. You can have only one best friend and that best friend can only be you. Because you may come across a dozen lovely people but the only one who can keep the ‘forever’ promise is you.

2. Family is the most important. This is the only love that is truly unconditional and absolutely pure. They love you when you’re 5 and when you’re 18. They love you in your failure and your success. Their love doesn’t increase because it’s already at its maximum right from the beginning, it’s already infinite.

3. Cocktails and aerated drinks may soothe your taste buds but tea soothes your entire body. It’s warm and calming and well, healthy.

4. Your first kiss means nothing if it’s not with the right person. And the right person doesn’t mean your soulmate or someone who will never break your heart but someone who in that moment loves you as much as you love them.

5. You’ve written over 350 exams and you’ve got a perfect score in some and scored miserably in others but do you remember your 9th grade math score? Do you even remember 9th grade math? Education is so important but not the stress and competitive grading that comes along with it. If you get a low score or even fail, not much will happen – you will get a retest. But if you get ill – mentally or physically, it will have undesired long term effects.

6. In 8th grade your school psychologist told you that you’re one of the few people who walk in life with open arms loving and helping everyone, not because you haven’t bled but because you know you will heal and have the strength to do so. At that point you laughed at her but now, years later you’re loving, accepting and helping in spite of having both, actual and metaphorical scars.
You’re kind and admitting that doesn’t make you conceited.

7. Goodbyes don’t always have to be dramatic. Writing an 800 words message won’t make it hurt any less than an 8 words one. Closure usually has not much to do with the ones who wronged you but with taking your time in dealing with all the stages of grief. Some stage like anger may take only a month but acceptance may take years and that’s okay.

8. Jealousy is a basic human trait. They can be the closest to you and yet envy your happiness and life. Envy is something you too experience and you can be happy for them and be sad for yourself at the same time because so bitter it is to view happiness from someone else’s eyes. You aren’t a horrible human being if you feel like there are better shades of green your grass could be.

9. Read at your own desire and pace.
You don’t have to read particular books to qualify as a bibliophile or read a specific number of books to be a bookworm either. Read what truly interests you and take your time because reading was never a task, don’t make it one now.

10. Money is important. Money can’t buy love but it can buy happiness. But not blood money. Money honestly earned through hard work. That kind of money is good, that kind of money is required. You have a certain standard of living and if you want to maintain that after your parents stop financing you, you must make sure to earn the same. It doesn’t make you a snob or a spoiled brat, it only makes you a human aware of your wants, many of which have turned into needs by now.

11. There are somethings you just never grow out of like bubbles and glitter and your mother’s hot chocolate and hugs. Those are the kind of things that make life bearable when adulting gets too hard. Those are the little things that matter the most.

12. You cry. A lot.
But you don’t cry in front of people for their pity. You don’t cry to manipulate situations. You cry because you accept the pain. You cry because you don’t reject or lock away your emotions. You cry because your mental, emotional and physical self are in sync and that’s healthy. That’s so lovely.

13. Bake cakes. They don’t have to look pretty as long as they taste delicious. Paint canvases. They don’t have to be a master piece as long as all the paint in your hands and face and jeans makes you feel complete. Write more. It doesn’t have to a novel or even be posted online as long as it lets you breathe a little lighter and smile wider.

14. Go for walks alone, sit on the beach without your headphones, look up at the sky without a lover, buy flowers for yourself. Nature is legit free (for the most part). And it’s the richest thing that the world has. Le it bring you peace, let it help you survive.

15. Make home feel home. Sometimes you won’t have your family to make it home. Sometimes you will have to make it home by putting a part of yourself and that means investing the time, energy and money in making it feel yours, in making it feel right. It may not be your ‘dream house’, it may just be a tiny room but it’s yours. Your surroundings play a major role in affecting your mood and vibe.

16. Energy is real.
You may not know much about Science beyond 10th grade but you do know this, e=mc ² which means everything is energy, you are energy and there is positive and negative energy and you can feel it and you experience it in every person you meet, every place you visit, every room you step inside. You can and you must choose to surround yourself with positive energy. What you attract, you do get; what you attract you become.

17. Spend time with yourself. It’s some of the best time you will have. You need to unwind, you need it to re-energize, you need it to focus and you need it for peace. You can go to a cafe by yourself, write, read, meditate, talk to yourself out loud, dance in your underwear, cook and just be.

18. Take care of yourself- no one else can, no one else will. Drink loads of water, there’s a reason why more than half your body is made up of water. Sleep well because staying up all night isn’t something to be proud of, it’s stupid. Don’t skip breakfast because skipping breakfast makes you crave fatty foods for the rest of the day. Stay healthy not because you want to look a certain way but because you want to feel strong and energetic and have an active mind, body and heart. Staying healthy emotionally and mentally is just as important. So let those who want to go, go and never say yes to something your gut wants to scream ‘NO’ to.

19. Love yourself. If you don’t love yourself you will look for other people to love you. If you don’t accept yourself, you will keep seeking other people’s validation and the moment they withdraw it or walk away, you will crumble. And you don’t want to crumble. You want to enjoy the one person’s company you have to live with forever – yourself. Work on being a person you’d love to spend your life with because let’s face it, you don’t have a choice. It’s a long term investment and the only one that will never fail you.

20. In Shakespeare’s words, “To thine own self be true”. In order to love yourself, knowing yourself is very important. And knowing yourself doesn’t mean the adjectives that people use for you or what your zodiac sign says about you. It means what you know in your heart to be your truth.

One more for good luck?

21. You laughed and thought it was very witty when you came across the quote, ‘Don’t take life too seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway.’
but god. Can it be any truer? Most things you’re stressing over now won’t even matter 3 years from now. But good days will turn into heart-warming memories that will stay with you even 2 decades later.
Happiness and success are two different things but remember, they aren’t mutually exclusive. At least they don’t have to be.

hello !!! i hope you like these HCs!! and i m sorry they aren t very good aaaa i hope you enjoy!!! and thankyou!!!!

Michael

-          Please, let this boy be happy

-          Michael probably had a whole thing set up okay

-          Like either you two are downstairs, playing video games, drinking Pepsi Crystal and he was planning on having a sleepover with u

-          He!!! Was!!! Shaking!!!!!

-          ‘michael wth I m beating u in Mario kart u okay’

-          ‘the student has surpassed the master’

-          Okay but his face would be all red and he d just look really cute

-          He honestly just doesn t believe that he deserves you and thinks that n o matter what u say, you will always be able to find someone better and it just ???? fucks him up and scares him

-          But the two of you will start calming down a bit and maybe u guys are just talking about school and he just turns to u and is like

-          ‘do u wanna share a slushie with me sometime? And maybe go to the arcade?’

-          And at first ur really confused like ???? we go to the arcade and stuff all of the time w Jeremy ??

-          And he sees the confusion, and he quickly adds

-          ‘I mean without Jeremy, yknow? The two of us? And,,, I ll pay for everything and all’

-          And u finally get it and !!!! ur face lights up !!! and Michael sees ur smile and he starts smiling and!!!! He s just really happy that ur smiling !!! and wow!!! This might work!!

-          U tell him that u ll totally go with him, but only if he confirms that it is a date

-          And while blushing and giggling he just responds ‘it’s a date !!!’ and he s all gushy and just !!! wow u actually want to go on a date w him!!!

-          U just made Michael a vvvv happy boy and he s so in love w u ???? he ll do anything for u and will buy u all of the slushies and honestly he just has a heck ton of tokens at the arcade take good care of him <3

Connor

-          Lbr connor would repress all of his romantic emotions for u

-          U wanted to hold his hand? No big deal, not like he felt a warm, fuzzy feeling in his stomach or anything ahhhahah what

-          The poor boy would sometimes be a total dick??? Just so u don t suspect anything???

-          But one day the two of you are star gazing and the moon light just looks sososo pretty reflecting in ur eyes and ur hair and u just look so kissable and he just loses himself in ur eyes

-          Once u notice and look at him, he immediately looks away and his face just explodes into a bright shade of red that the moonlight can t show and he s so embarrassed??? Ur going to think he s a creep?? Why would u want to date him??? Wth???

-          He slowly just starts yelling at himself mentally and all of his doubts are coming back but u just kinda slide ur hand onto his and he ??? nearly screams

-          The two of u just kinda sit there like that for a bit and then connor just sputters out

-          ‘I think I like you’

-          ‘you think?’

-          ‘okay, fuck, no’

-          ‘you don t like me?’

-          ‘no – I do like you’

-          ‘are you sure?’

-          ‘why the fuck wouldn t I like you?’

-          And then he just goes on and  o n about everything he loves about you and he doesn t even realize but he just slowly starts adding comments about how he doesn t get why someone as cute as you would hang out with a fuckwad like him

-          And it just breaks your heart?? Bc here is this tall, tough looking dude just g u s h I n g about everything he loves about you and how much he despises himself and he just wants you to be happy and ???

-          Instead of saying anything, u just gently hold his hand and lean ur head on his shoulder and u guys just stay like that for a while, just in each other’s presence and just making sure that connor knows u are here and that u are there for him

-          Connor is doing his best right now, and that s all u can ask for

Daddy A-Z: Taeyong

A = Announcement.- How do you tell him and the world that you’re expecting?
The second the test is positive, you have to tell Taeyong, because knowing him, the first signs of pregnancy aka morning sickness, he’s ready to rush you to the ER so you might as well just spill the beans. Telling him is simple, just telling him works fine and then you can deal with the hyper Taeyong that comes after the announcement and then crying Taeyong when it hits him he’s gonna be a daddy. Telling the world, on the other hand, probably won’t happen for a while. Taeyong’s pretty private with his life, so it’ll probably be kept a secret until there’s no way to hide it. To be honest with you, it’ll probably be one of the boys that fuck up and let it slip that mommy taeyong is going to evolve into daddy Taeyong.

B = Books.- Did he read the books?
We know Taeyong’s a reader, and especially in moments when he needs guidance (i.e. the book about self love that he carried around when he was getting hate) so Taeyong will 100% buy out the child development and parenthood section at the book store and uses them as step by step for being a good dad.

C = Cuddles.- Who cuddles the baby more?
Taeyong, for sure. Seeing as he says he can’t sleep without holding something, I can see Taeyong being the dad that falls asleep in the rocking chair with his offspring and just snoring away with the happy baby in his arms. Honestly, you’ll probably have to pry the baby from his hands, he’s pretty much a conjoined twin with his baby.

D = Daddy.- His reaction to being called Daddy and it setting in.
He’s already the mom of the group, so transitioning into being dad isn’t hard. But the realization that ‘holy shit this isn’t jisung….this is mine. i made this. f u c k’ wont truly set in until the baby’s born and he’s holding it and seeing the tiny human he helped make in his very hands. It’ll hit him like a bus and he’s crying and babbling about how he’s going to protect it from the world and love it with his entire heart.

E = Empty.- Who goes to the store when you guys run out of supplies?
While he’s insanely attached to the baby, he’s very adamant about helping you in any way. Need more diapers? ‘I’ll get it stay here you shouldn’t be moving.’ ‘taeyong it’s been 3 months i’m fine.’ ‘s h h h h h ‘

F = Feeding time- Who does feeding time?
Reading all those books, Taeyong’s made it a mission to save feeding time for mommy-baby bonding time, so he let’s you have the reigns with feeding your child. But only with the agreement he gets to make the airplane noises for the spoon.

G = Grumpy baby. - Who is better at dealing with a grumpy baby?
Taeyong’s insanely youthful and practically a kid a heart himself, so no one can relate to a baby more than Taeyong. He’s a master at dumb faces to make the baby all smiles and giggles in 4.81 seconds. He’s like the sun baby from tellatubies to his kid.

H = How?- how many kids does he want?
Basing how close he is with his noona, I can imagine Taeyong wanting the same relationship for his kids, so I can definitely see him having two at the very least, but likely having 3+ if he can convince you on it. Especially being the leader and nct dream, he’s confident that he can handle more than one kid easily.

J = Jokes.- best dad joke?
“Did you hear about the restaurant on the moon? Nice food, no atmosphere.”

K = Kisses.- His favorite place to kiss the baby.
Taeyong is such a tummy raspberry dad, and y’all know it. It’s adorable, it’s sweet, and he gets to hear his lil mini giggling up a storm.

L = Little.- How he feels when he holds the baby for the first time.
The entire world stops for him when the nurse placed his baby in his arms. Seeing the little squirmy thing that’s half him and half his love is just a punch in the face with how much he loves you and loves you even more for giving him this tiny human he’ll cherish for the rest of his days. He’s just emotional as hell, crying his eyes out, and full of love.

M = Mommy.- what does he call you?
He just plain calls you mommy. Literally the second you gave birth, your name doesn’t exist in his mind, his name doesn’t exist. It’s just ‘mommy and daddy’.

N = Nappies.- who deals with the really bad ones?
Honestly I feel like Taeyong would pass out at the sight, but he’s very clean and lowkey a germaphobe and knowing that’s what is touching his baby is enough to make him arm himself with a pack of wipes and a face mask, and go to battle.

O = Onesies- Who likes to dress the baby in ridiculous outfits?
Taeyong is a stylish bish so he’s very picky over kid clothes, so it’ll be you that dresses the baby is dorky kiddy clothes and Taeyong’s just standing there like ‘ok i hate it……but it is cute and im mad about it’

P = Pet names- names he calls the baby.
Taeyong almost always calls his mini his ‘little sunshine’, because let’s be real, if it’s part taeyong you know that kid is going to light up a room. i know it. you know it. taeyong knows it.

Q = Questions.- How many questions does he ask the nurse?
He 100% brought a list of stuff to ask, and it’s a mile long. Even after reading the books and he know basically anything there is to know about caring and raising a kid, he needs to hear it from someone as qualified as a nurse because ‘any idiot can write a book how do i know if its wrong?! i have to ask!!’

R = Rely- what is the biggest thing you rely on each other for?
Honestly it’s just support. Having a kid is horrible, and you think it’s going to be easy with two people, but no one tells you how long it takes to recover from giving birth, and it’s hard to pull your weight in the relationship. Taeyong needs assurance he’s doing everything right, and you need help with basically everything. You two balance out the stress, you get to heal, taeyong gets emotional support.

S = Sleep duty. - who gets up when it’s really late at night?
To keep it fair, you do have the ‘it’s your turn’ system for night issues, so it bounces back and forth between you and Taeyong. But a lot of the times, if you don’t wake up on the first nudge, he just thinks you need the rest and handles business himself.

T = Trepidation.- fears as a new parent.
Taeyong’s biggest fear is he’s going to mess the kid up for life. He’s not completely sure of himself, how’s he supposed to raise and mentor another human that looks up to him for guidance? He’s just terrified that he’s going to mess up, and the kid’s going to be damaged in some bizarre way, but let’s be real, he’ll be a fantastic dad.

U = Ultra sounds.- His reactions to the ultrasounds.
Instant tears. He’s immediately sobbing and eyes just glued to the blurry image of his tiny baby growing and healthy as can be. He’s gotten a billion copies of the ultrasound pictures and sends them to literally everyone. His parents, sister, every member, all the sm workers, Taeyong just wants to show the world his most proud accomplishment.

V = Values.- what is the most important value he wants to teach your child.
Being Taeyong, I’m pretty sure the thing he’ll instill in his kid most is self love and never doubting yourself. He, even as successful as he is and continues to grow, is still very self conscious and not sure of himself, and he doesn’t want that for his kids. They’re capable of anything and everything and no matter what, he’ll always love his kids and he wants them to be sure of that and themselves.

W = Water.- Who gives the babe the baths?
It’s a joint effort, because honestly you’re washing the babe, and Taeyong’s just taking pictures and videos to show the members and keep forever. He’s the embarrassing parent that takes the bath videos.

X = X-mas- what do you guys plan for the holidays?
Holidays are always split into different sections, the week during holidays is a mess because you have to bounce from your family, to Taeyong’s family, to with the members, and parties and everything. But the holiday itself, actual Christmas morning is just between you, Taeyong and the kids. Taeyong wants to at least have a moment as a family alone.

Y = Yelling.- How many fights do the two of you get in?
Taeyong it’s pretty calm and doesn’t get agitated in the sense of it leading to actual fighting, so I imagine if any fights break out, it’s more you just yelling at him while he listens quietly and prob crying he’s not a fighter, he’s a lover.

Z = Zoo- How crazy is the house after the birth?
Taeyong is sort of a neat freak, so if he can keep a dorm room with 9+ grown boys clean, he can definitely keep a house with just you, him and kids clean easily. Lucky you.

my review of the last jedi

spoilers, very much so

It’s easy to understand why the critics love this film. It’s very different from The Empire Strikes Back, it’s got some excellent acting, surprising moments and good action scenes. For people who get paid to analyze films as their own entities and do so countless times a year - and as such probably don’t remember much about The Force Awakens aside from “Han was killed as Luke showed up in the last few seconds” - that’s all it takes for a 10/10 experience.

The film ends on a high note, so you walk away from the theater in ecstasy and still absorbing what you just saw. But the euphoria doesn’t resist 10 minutes of critical thinking. For a film that praises itself for digging deep into its characters, The Last Jedi is surprisingly superficial. Presumably, one of the first questions Rian Johnson asked himself was “what is Luke Skywalker doing on that island?”. Turns out he feels guilty about what happened to Ben Solo and the Jedi order he was building. Wait, you might say, I thought the previous movie had already made that clear? That’s because it did. The Last Jedi was supposed to be Luke’s movie and we get no insight whatsoever into his character that we didn’t already know or make educated guesses about.

Except for one thing. Turns out he tried to kill his nephew when he sensed the darkness inside him. Yeah. Exactly. He didn’t give up on Darth Vader of all people, but he was ready to slaughter his teenage nephew. There is no plausible explanation for this. That was before shit hit the fan in the Skywalker household, so any psychological trouble that might excuse his odd behaviour when Rey finds him does not excuse this.

That’s not the full extent of Luke’s iffy characterization. We all remember how he went against his masters’ teachings and faced Darth Vader with nothing but compassion under his sleeve. So tell me how does it make sense for a Force Ghost Yoda to appear and lecture him on all that was wrong about the old ways of the Jedi? It doesn’t. Their respective beliefs were flipped.

In the last few months, the powers that be have repeatedly stated in interviews - as a weird badge of pride - that each director is entirely free to come up with the story of each film, with nothing but the previous instalment as a starting point. Long story short, the trilogy is being written as they go along. And it shows. Snoke was nothing but a plot device. The Knights of Ren are nowhere to be seen. There’s no explanation for how and why the Skywalker lightsaber ended up in Maz Kanata’s possession. Maz, by the way, has the most inorganic introduction I’ve ever had the displeasure to watch. I just have to presume it was in Lupita Nyong’o’s contract to be in at least two films.

If Lupita’s contract might explain Maz’s atrocious cameo, Benicio Del Toro can only be a close friend of Rian Johnson’s with a lifelong dream to be in a Star Wars movie. The character, whose name we do not learn, is completely useless and badly portrayed. The necessary skills that he has could have been easily transfered to Rose. As a side effect, the whole Canto Bight detour - also a waste of time - could have been thrown out altogether.

Speaking of Rose, she’s one of the few elements that actually work in this film. Kelly Marie Tran is excellent and the character is immediately likable. We learn more about her than we learned about Rey in two goddamn movies. Her storyline with Finn, as mentioned above, could have used a little trimming, but I have to disagree with critics who claim it’s the biggest/only weakness of the film. The sheer charisma of Kelly and John Boyega carries the storyline.

The truth is there a lot of weakness and they are spread out. Case in point, the dynamic between Amilyn Holdo and Poe, my least favorite part by far. Rian Johnson came up with the character of Amilyn and Claudia Gray borrowed the name to write a different character in her novel Princess of Alderaan. Those who have read this book know that she’s the Luna Lovegood of Star Wars and her charming personality completely vanishes in the film. She’s virtually a different woman. Did the story group of Lucasfilm and their supposed responsibility for continuity in a galaxy far far away take a vacation while Claudia was writing the book?

It’s clear that Holdo was introduced in the movie to prop up Poe Dameron’s character development, but the trouble is that such development is not necessarily welcome or well done. I don’t know how a movie that lasts two and a half hours can feel rushed, but here it did. Poe and Holdo’s altercation is truncated, confusing, almost impossible to get invested in.

Did you notice how I failed to mention Rey until now? You may think Daisy Ridley was just being humble when she kept saying in the press tour that Rey is not necessarily the main character. She wasn’t though. Rey does not feel like the main character at all. As a matter of fact, Poe feels more like a protagonist this time around. And that’s saying something, considering his character was supposed to die early on in The Force Awakens.

I’m not gonna ramble at length about the godforsaken topic of Rey’s parentage. I’m just gonna say that, aside from being almost comical how The Force Awakens missed the mark when introducing the child of literal nobodies, The Last Jedi takes its sweet time to settle the debate once and for all, as it continues to tag people along like Lucasfilm and Disney have been doing for two years. As soon as Rey and Kylo have their first bizarre Sense8-esque Force meeting, my seatmate whispered to his friend “wait, are they siblings?” and I wanted to take a bullet to the brain right the fuck there. BECAUSE THAT’S WHAT WOULD HAVE MADE SENSE. Mere seconds after one of their Force connections, Luke has a similar scene with Leia. You know… Leia. HIS SISTER. At some point, Kylo tells Rey that he knows she’s gonna join him eventually… because he’s seen who her parents are. Geez, Louise. I wonder why the identity of her parents would compel her to get closer to Kylo. Maybe because they are HIS PARENTS TOO?? No, that would have just been too good.

And it doesn’t end there! Remember that teaser in which something sinister is calling to Rey and Luke yells “RESIST IT”?. That was awesome, wasn’t it? Who was calling to her? Snoke? Kylo? Turns out it was… a cave. A cave in which Rey has a borderline psychodelic experience that involves mirrors. She asks to be shown the face of her parents and the music intensifies until… we see Rey staring at her own reflection. That’s brilliant, Rian. Keep building up the mystery only to reveal later on that her parents were alcoholic junkers that may or may not remain nameless for eternity (and Rey shall remain just “Rey” forever).

I’m still trying to figure out the purpose of that cave scene. This goes back to how disappointingly shallow the movie was. We were supposed to learn some pretty interesting lore about the Force and what did we actually get? We learned that the Force doesn’t belong to the Jedi (duh)… and that’s it. Are you serious?

Let me get into what I did like about the film. Like I said, John Boyega and Kelly Marie Tran are a tour de force of charisma. They’re the most endearing pair and just plain fun to watch. Although Finn has been criminally demoted from his leading man status, his confrontation with Phasma (who’s Phasma again?) brought nice closure to his arc as a former stormtrooper.

I know many of my mutuals and followers cannot stand Adam Driver. I have side-eyed some of the things he said recently myself. But the guy is phenomenal in this movie. I caught myself looking forward to his appearences, because he is simply magnetic. I have no idea what’s gonna happen to Kylo, but I’m invested either way. The one thing The Last Jedi taught me is that speculation is pointless, because fans put way more thought into the story than the powers that be. That’s depressing, but it’s the reality of the situation.

I think my favorite scene in the whole movie is Kylo and Rey in Snoke’s throne room. The tension was palpable. The way Kylo ended Snoke had everyone in the room on the edge of their seats and the battle against the Praetorian Guards right afterwards was simply breathtaking.

Carrie Fisher is so Leia in her last appearence. I’m pretty happy with her send off, all things considered. She felt way more at ease in the role when compared to The Force Awakens and we gotta give Johnson some credit here, even if I want to strangle him most of the time. The infamous Superman scene is pretty awkward, but it was about time she showed some badass Force powers. The old hologram from A New Hope being what motivates Luke to finally help Rey was a stroke of genius. Such a simple plot development, but literally no one saw it coming. There wasn’t a single dry eye in the audience.

LUKE AND LEIA REUNITE! Well, sort of. But it was enough for me. Which brings me to Luke projecting himself across the galaxy. It sounds cartoonish on paper, but boy did it work! If you didn’t get goosebumps when he became one with the Force to the sound of Binary Sunset, something is wrong with you. The shoulder wipe was LEGENDARY. Some of the humor didn’t work in this film, but most certainly did, especially Chewie and the porgs (which are adorable and thankfully not overused) and Luke hitting Rey in the hand with a stick when he asks her to reach out.

As a standalone film, I give The Last Jedi an 8 out of 10. But as a follow-up to a seven-part saga, it’s a 6/10 with a pinch of generosity.

“Could [Sauron’s] power be defied by Bombadil alone? I think not. I think that in the end, if all else is conquered, Bombadil will fall, Last as he was First; and then Night will come.” - The Fellowship of the Ring

Exaggerated a little in context, think about what a magnificent image this would be!

Imagine the Last Battle, the Dagor Dagorath; armies lie strewn across the plains of Valinor, smoking and blackened and ruined. Melkor hurls the Sun and Moon from the sky, and into cataclysm they fall, and all that is good in Arda withers, and falls into ruin with them. And before all the ravening hordes of Mordor and Angband and Utumno combined stands only Tom Bombadil, Iarwain Ben-Adar, oldest and fatherless, with his yellow boots and blue coat and a twinkle in his eye. And with a “Hey dol! merry dol! ring a dong dillo!”, watch him slay, until surely too his end must come, and Night devours the world.

Sign me up for the apocalypse movie of the century!
