Read the Qur'an regularly.
Imaam an-Nawawi رحمه الله said: “Reciting the Qur'aan is the most important of adhkar, which should be done regularly. No day or night should be without reciting and it may be attained by reciting a few verses.” ● [كتاب الأذكـار للنـووي ١٢٢٥/٢]
Ibn Jawzi رحمه الله تعالى said: “The one who has a Mushaf must recite it everyday of whatever is easy for him, lest he be from those who have forsaken the Qur’aan.“ ● [الآداب الشرعية ٢\٣٠٠]
Ibn Abbas رضي الله عنه said: “Allaah took responsibility for who reads the Qur'aan & ACTS ON what is in it; he won’t go astray in this life nor despair in the Hereafter.“ ● [مفتاح دار السعادة ٥٨/١]
Ibn Mas'ood رضي الله عنه said: “Qur’aan is the Speech of Allaah, uncreated, so indeed whoever loves Qur’aan then he loves Allaah.” ● [فقه الأدعية والأذكار ج١ ص٦٦]

Avoid being beaten in your grave 100 times

Abdullah ibn Mas'ood (RadiAllahu anhu) related that the Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) said:

“One of Allah’s slaves was ordered to be beaten in his grave one hundred times. He never ceased asking and supplicating until it became one strike, so he was stuck once and his grave became filled with fire. When he rose up and regained consciousness he said:

‘What did you strike me for?’ They said:

'You prayed a prayer without purity and you passed someone that was oppressed without helping him’”

[Reported by at-Tahawi in “Mushkil al-Aathar” and graded Hasan (good) by Shaykh al-Albaani in “As-Silsilah as-Sahihah”, number: 2774, and he said: “All of the narrators are trustworthy.”]

Verily, the creation of each of you is brought together in his mother’s womb for 40 days in the form of a seed. Then he becomes a clot of blood for the same amount of time, then a morsel of flesh for the same amount of time. Then an angel is sent to him and commanded with four things: (1) to record his sustenance, (2) his lifespan, (3) his actions, and (4) whether he will be miserable or happy.
—  Prophet Muhammad (sallah Allaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), narrated by Ibn Mas'ood (radi'Allaah 'anhu) | Saheeh al-Bukhaaree: Book of the Beginning of Creation (3208) & Saheeh Muslim: Book of Divine Pre-Decree (2643)
You are in the passage of day and night, your life decreases [by every passing moment] but your deeds are all preserved and death shall come to you all of a sudden. So, whoever planted good is soon to expect the harvest of happiness, and whoever planted evil is soon to expect the harvest of regret.
—  Ibn Mas'ood| Hilyah al Awliyaa V.1 Pg.133-134

Ibn al-Mas'ood:

“Beware of what disturbs the hearts. If something unsettles your heart, then abandon it.”
