Did you ever cry at any point in SnK

I don’t think I was actually openly sobbing or anything but, the closest I came was getting very heartbroken and misty-eyed seeing Eren crying in the back of the cart when the Scouting Legion returned after a failed mission.

Because this is the face of a 15-year-old boy who has realized that the life he used to idolize as glorious and heroic is actually brutal and tragic. There is nothing glorious in watching your comrades getting smashed against trees or bitten in half, only to come back empty handed, their lives taken in vain. And Eren sees himself in the little boy cheering above the crowd and knows that he was once naive enough to believe that this life would make him a hero instead of a broken child.
