Why the fuck is people getting mad at how Eva Marie is getting trained? Y’all were bitching when she was put in the ring without experience! If I’m in the ring with her, I don’t care how she got trained as long as she knows what the fuck she’s doing and not fuck me over.

It contained tones of flaws and plotholes, the ridiculousness of certain storylines was laughable beyond belief, the unnecessarity and inconsistency of certain creative decisions was at the very least frustrating, all of the ships I shipped on it - and they’re a lot - were incredibly problematic and I could list all of their major and infinite flaws (hello Leyton). But…
It’s the show that did not shame a woman for being emotionally conflicted and not always making the right choices regarding her personal life or ways she went about her feelings for someone (Peyton).
It’s the show that allowed a woman to love faithfully and strongly more than once in a lifetime (Brooke)
It’s the show that addressed the issue of teenage marriage without villianizing it and instead exposing the audience to both strong and problematic sides of it while not attempting to patronize or be preachy hence Nathan and Haley making it through all the hardships and obstacles and still being happily married years later.
It’s the show that - finally! - did not portray the “other” guy as either a posessive and aggressively obsessive antagonist or a selfless sufferer/martyr and allowed him to accept the rejection with dignity while still remaining a decent person and a helpful supportive friend (Chris Keller)
It’s the show that had a severly mentally ill person as one of it’s main characters for three final seasons without diminishing, mocking or downplaying his issues (Clay) that were eventually worked through.
Now, I’m fully aware of the fact that all of those storylines involved evident and blatantly obvious flaws and that OTH is by no means the best show ever or the epitome of heavenly brilliance. But it did well. It did DAMN well if you ask me. And then I look at everything that is now on screens and the amount of misogynistic, offensive, slut shaming, victim blaming crap makes me physically sick and makes me appreciate this show even more.
