(modern ladies) napoleonic edition: Maria Ludovica Leopoldina Francisca Theresa Josepha Lucia de Habsbourg-Lorraine; Marie-Louise d'Autriche, Impératrice des Français

Marie-Louise is the eldest child of the Habsburg Emperor Francis II of Austria and his second wife, Maria Theresa of Naples and Sicily. When she was nineteen years old, the future which Marie-Louise envisioned for herself included remaining in the court of Austria as her older brother’s regent. But her plans unravel when the news arrives that she is to marry Napoleon which she dutifully agrees despite being raised to despise France (and always always remembering the fate of her great aunt Marie Antoinette). For the first time, Marie-Louise realizes  what it means to be a royal. She is a pawn in a game much larger than Austria.

Jacoba Francisca Maria “Cobie” Smulders | My plan is to stay in New York for as long as I can and do some theater out here and just keep working creatively. Like you said, having been on “How I Met Your Mother” for so long, I do have the ability to be a little picky with the next projects that I do, and have them be more about characters that I’m excited about, stories that I want to do and directors that I want to work with. That’s really the freedom that the show has afforded me, more than a monetary thing. It’s creatively I’m free to explore a little bit more. (insp.)

“I wanted to be a marine biologist my whole life until I graduated high school. And even now, I’m still like, ‘Maybe I’ll just quit the biz and go to Santa Cruz and study marine biology and have my own research center in the Bahamas.’ Yeah, I’m sure it would be just that smooth.” // Jacoba Francisca Maria Smulders (insp)
