history meme (french edition)  →  4 families/dynasties/houses (¾) the ruling House of Bourbon.

“The Bourbons ruled their homeland for over two centuries, making it the greatest power in Europe, and taming and uniting a people who are arguably the most individualist and ungovernable in the world. They were the personification of both this grandeur and this seduction; let it be known that Louis XVI became a figure of compelling interest, with his refusal to save himself by shedding his people’s blood, creating a martyrdom in which he was soon joined by his beautiful Queen.Desmond Seward, The Bourbon Kings of France

  • Someone: Hey why are you crying?
  • Me in tears: I just lost a loved one.
  • Someone: Oh I know what it's like to lose a family member.
  • Me thinking about dean telling cas he's family, Cas telling dean he loves him, dean saying cas is his best friend, Sam hugging castiel: *Starts sobbing harder* IT JUST HURTS SO MUCH!
The Hated Women of Fandom

Mary Watson wakes in a white room, sitting in a plastic chair. She’s surrounded by girls and women, some of whom are drinking heavily. There’s a banner hanging overhead, which reads Female Characters Anonymous. A redheaded teenage girl pats her on the knee.

“Don’t be frightened. We’ve been expecting you.”

“Where am I?” Mary asks.

The girl raises an eyebrow. “You don’t know?” She spreads her arms out. “This is the place where good female characters come to die.”

Mary frowns. “Oh, because I died in my show?”

Everyone laughs.

“Honey, I wish!” A woman with dark eyeliner calls out.

“Ignore Lexa. She’s still angry about the bullet thing.” The teenage girl looks Mary up and down. “Then again, you would know something about that, wouldn’t you?”

“About what?”

“Oh, you know. Being killed off for drama. Or in your case, man pain.”

“Don’t get me started on that,” a woman to Mary’s right grumbles. She’s got bright red hair and a shirt that says Supernatural: Was it ever a good show?

“That’s Charlie. She had a good run until the writers didn’t know what to do with her.”

Mary, who’s starting to get an idea about where she is, shakes her head with a little laugh. “No, you must be mistaken. I was a good, strong character. I don’t belong here”

A few chuckles at that. Someone mutters, “I’ve heard that one before.”

The teenage girl gives her a sympathetic smile. “Have you taken a look at the fandom lately? They hate you. Always have.”

Mary frowns. “But–”

“I know it must be hard to understand at first, but let’s face it. You were an imperfect female character. You had flaws and a dark side, which would have been fine, if you hadn’t posed a threat to the Main Ship.”

A cold wind passes through the room. Everyone shudders.

“The what?”

“Johnlock. The ship of an era.”

“Oh, that,” Mary says with a smile. “That’s perfectly fine! There’s no reason to hate me just because you ship Johnlock.”

“No, it’s not that. Some of the fandom, certainly not all of them, hate you because in their eyes, you’re the thing that’s blocking them from easy access to their ship. Trust me, I have experience with this.”

Mary squints at the girl. “Who are you?”

The girl smiles. “I’m Ginny Weasley.”

“Oh. Oh, dear.”

“Yup. I’m a bit of an old-timer around here. Boy, I cannot even begin to tell you the number of Drarry fanfics wherein I either cheat on Harry with Dean, turn into a monstrous bitch, or simply disappear altogether.”

“Don’t forget the ones where you start dating Neville for no reason!” A woman shouts out.

Ginny laughs a bit. “Those are usually alright. I have to go somewhere, right?”

Mary is starting to panic a bit. “I…I don’t think I understand.”

Ginny nods. “Don’t worry. There’s someone whom I think you should meet.” She pulls Mary to her feet and leads her towards a dark corner in the room. “This girl hasn’t been here for as long as me, but she’s certainly suffered worse. She not only got in the way of a Main Ship, but a canon Main Ship. And a straight one, at that. She’s been shat on, villainized, ignored, pretty much everything in the book. A true warrior of her time.”

Mary starts to get nervous as they approach this girl. She’s seated at a bar, head down on the counter, twirling a paint covered finger around a whiskey glass.

When they’ve reached her, Mary clears her throat. “My name is–”

“I know who you are.”

“Oh. Well, who are you?”

After a moment’s pause, the girl downs the whiskey in one gulp, and slams the glass on the counter. She slowly turns to fix Mary with a battle-hardened stare. “My name, is Rachel. Elizabeth. Dare.”

Could we appreciate how bitter Peter Parker would be when he saw how Team Cap treats Tony? He'd be furious! At first he would just observe, but when he saw how it really hurts Tony and how Tony seems to make himself smaller everytime they say something mean, how Tony, Mr. Stark, Iron Man, Pete's biggest hero, looks like he's about to break, Peter just can't. He says something that shuts team Cap up and then makes sure to tell Tony how much he appreciates and cares about him, every single day.

There are two things most people don’t know about Peter: 1) He’s Spiderman (though the circle of those in the know seems to grow at an alarming rate lately). 2) When you hurt someone he cares for, he is vicious. (The circle of those who realise this through personal experience is currently also growing at an alarming rate.)

It doesn’t start slow either. There’s no building up to it, because there’s nothing like offending everyone who’s worked their asses off to get you back home for the last six months in under an hour after your arrival. Seriously?

So, Peter who, as childish as it is, already isn’t very happy with those no-longer-exiled dickheads–because he’s seen just a bit of the injuries Mr. Stark had after those fights and it was already too much, and also because he’s been here, he’s seen how hard Mr. Stark worked, how much time and energy it cost him, how exhausted he always is–and he’s just not ready to put up with this shit, damn the consequences.

So he doesn’t.

The second the first passive-aggressive comment is thrown into Mr. Stark’s direction–Peter sees the way the man’s shoulder’s slump, as though the hurtful words are physically dragging him down, sees the way his face closes off–he sees red.

“Yes, well, nobody asked for your opinion, so take that clue and keep your mouth shut!” he hisses, followed by some much less pleasant words. He hits way beneath the belt and he knows it, he just doesn’t care. It’s not even about the accords or the fight in Germany that could’ve gotten him killed, it’s the entitled attitude that really gets to him. Especially since it’s directed at/against Mr. Stark.

“Spider-” Mr. Stark starts, and Peter knows that tone, knows the man wants to calm him down–and he’s still protecting his identity even with just the team around, and Peter is just so done.

“No,” he interrupts. “I don’t- We don’t have to put up with this. They’re back, yay and yippee, justice has been served, whatever. A pardon doesn’t excuse their behaviour right now. If nothing else they should at least appreciate the effort you put into getting them into this room. But since they clearly don’t, I prefer to spend my time with people I actually value, so let’s just go!”

With that he takes Mr. Stark’s hand and pulls the unresisting man out of the conference room, slams the door shut behind him because if he’s going to act his age he’s gonna own it, and into the elevator. It’s only there that he slowly pulls off the mask and spends a very long, awkward minute staring at Mr. Stark, where it seems neither of them quite know what to say.

“You probably should get home, your aunt will be worried,” is what Mr. Stark ends up saying eventually, looking as uncomfortable in his skin as Peter feels–and that’s not right at all.

“She won’t expect me home until dinner,” Peter says without thinking, “Besides I like spending time with you–in the lab. I mean, if you don’t have anything else to do. Which, it’s cool if you do, I get it. I just-”

“You like the lab?” Mr. Stark interrupts, sounding surprised.

“Of course!” Peter grins, relieved to have his panicked babbling interrupted. “It’s great, the equipment’s great and I’m learning a lot more from you than all my teacher’s together! It’s brilliant!”

And the way Mr. Stark straightens at those words is better, is great, because like this he looks as though he could take over the whole world with just his mind and a smile, already sharing an idea on how to improve the mobility of Peter’s newest suit, and this is how it’s supposed to be.

at the very least I think we deserve mary trying to casually ask what the “deal” between dean and cas is and cas, without missing a beat, explains “we have a profound bond” and before dean can spew his gay panic all over the place cas continues “but he doesn’t like for me to mention it” and mary nods with understanding as dean face palms himself and somewhere in the distance you can hear sam cackling

moodboard: magiano, the young elites

“We cannot just die, not without trying. Not without fighting. We exist because this world exists. It’s a responsibility of ours, whether or not anyone will remember it, to protect it. ”

Dean Winchester is 100% right.

As always the show tries to make it seem like Dean is on the wrong side, or is his actions and words are wrong or as he’s being too emotional, or unfair to the people around him (i.e: Sam, case, Mary) or as if he’s just selfish or stubborn not to support their ideas, their quest, their missions. They try (and sadly Successfully it does work on most fans) to make him out/to paint him as the bad guy, or someone who doesn’t understand or respect their perspective.

The thing is Dean does he understands better than anyone because he’s been doing his whole life, support his family and friends agendas/missions, and because he’s the one who’s always supporting their missions (never actually leading) he’s the ONLY ONE who goes into any of these missions CLEAR HEADED, he’s the ONE WHO NOTICES THE BAD SINGS, who is NOT so focused on the missions he loses the bigger picture or the possible consequences of these missions, he’s the ONLY one who spots that there’s something more to this than what it seems, he’s the only one who can actually sense when someone is playing him or any of his family members or friends, he’s the only who sees things for what they truly are and not what the others hope/believe to be.

And because of this he’s always on outside, he’s always the “bad guy”, he’s always “not supporting his friends and family’s missions agendas”, he’s always being too hard on his loved ones. The REALITY is he’s the ONLY one who’s LOOKING OUT FOR THEM, he’s the ONLY one who always TRIES HIS BEST TO AVOIDE further dangerous consequences for everyone’s actions/missions.

Examples: in S3 (and throughout S4) when he learned that ruby is a demon he has been warring sam NOT to trust her, warning him NOT use his powers, telling him over and over again that she’s manipulating him, twisting his fear (that his demonic powers would make him a bad person) into making it seem as if his demonic piers are good/can be used for good, telling Sam that god and angles told him (Dean) to stop Sam from using his powers more than once, and DEAN was 100% RIGHT because ruby was part of Lilith’s plan ALL ALONG.

In S11 yet again he was telling Sam over and over NOT to listen to the voices/visions he was seeing that they weren’t from god, telling him that there something NOT right about the whole thing, Sam yet again ignored him and because of Sam, Lucifer GOT OUT OF HIS CAGE AND NOW WE HAVE THE OMEN/ROSEMARY’S BABY ON THE WAY.

Now it’s happing all over again in S12 with the BMOL, Dean does NOT trust them for obvious reasons, and now both Mary & Sam are nothing more than their earn boy/girl who NEVER question anything and just follow orders blindly and Sam is acting as he’s on the right side by trying to convince dean to join this mission just as blindly as he & Mary are.

Dean was 100% RIGHT in telling Mary to ACT LIKE THEIR MOTHER, not to take care of them or cut the crust or whatever childish things, but to ACT LIKE THEIR MOTHER AND SUPPORTS THEM AND TRUST THEM more than a bunch of STRANGERS who for all she knows are the bad guy, that’s what he meant when he said she should ACT LIKE THEIR MOTHER, NOT actually be a mommy and take care of them or any of the other motherly things, because Dean has been TAKING CARE OF HIMSEF AND HIS BROTHER AND HIS FATHER SINCE HE WAS 4 YEARS OLD. So sure as hell had EVERY RIGHT TO BE MAD AT HIS MOTHER and it was 100% WRONG to make him apologize for what he said.

When he asked Sam to choose a side, he was actually asking him to pick HIS SIDE FOR ONCE IN HIS LIFE, because Sam just as Mary, John, an case have ALWYS CHOSEN THEIR OWN SIDES OR THE SIDE OF A COMPLETE STRANGER/DEMON, and it was ALWAYS THE WRONG side. So when Dean asked Sam to pick a side he was actually asking for ONCE to pick his side, to trust him on suspension about the BMOL, but the end of the day Sam STILL AS USUAL PICKED BUNCH OF STRANGERS OVER HIS OWN BROTHER.

We all know by the end of S12 the BMOL will turn out to be the bad guys in some way or the other, and we all know Sam & Mary yet again will be have the rug pulled from under them especially Sam.

So if anyone even dares to blame Dean Winchester when things blow up in their faces (like we all know it will) for anything what so ever, i will go crazy post on your asses reminding of all the MANY MANY OTHER TIMES DEAN WINCHESTER WAS 100% RIGHT AND WARNED THE IDIOTS NOT TO DO SOMETHING IDIOTIC. So all this oh let’s blame Dean for this and that NEEDS TO STOP BECAUSE DEAN FREAKING WINCHESTER IS ALWYS ALWYS ALWAYS NOT MATTER WHAT 100% RIGHT.

the more i think about the bs finale the more i realize the tragedies underlying the happy endings, so as of today i’ve decided to be dumb and blind. im taking the easy way out lads. subtext does not exist. all is well (ノ◕‿◕)ノ*:・゚✧
