My dad and uncle came home with 16 fluffy chicken chicks! We kept 8 and he kept 8. We’re going to raise a FLUFFY CHICKEN ARMY! Take that!

THANK YOU! FOR EVERYTHING! ALL OF THE SUPPORT AND ADVICE AND COUNTLESS HOURS!

I GOT BAND CAPTAIN! NOT CO-CAPTAIN! BUT CAPTAIN! (not that Co-Captain is less important. On the contrary I will NEED my co-captain!) BUT I’M SO EXCITED. Here’s a range of my emotions from the moment before I found out to when I actually did and after. (Note: I was forced to go to class and finish a test before I could leave and check results.)

SO BLESSED AND SO ECSTATIC TO HAVE THE POSITION!

LOOKING FOR PEN-PAL

If anyone is interested in starting a pen-pal relationship, feel free to let me now in my inbox. A friend and I were trying to think of things that might only be available where we live. It’d be cool to have international pen-pals, but if you live in the US, we could still arrange something. If you like gifts and would like gifts from the South Eastern US, send me info. Let’s talk.

I have plenty more pictures of L. C. Anderson High School on file and I will definitely post those as well, but this week I wanted to feature a friend’s band.

Katthedork submitted several pictures of her band and since we’re now pen-pals (and her band was next on the schedule) I wanted to show case this awesome band!

This week the Georgetown High school Eagle Band from Georgetown, Texas!

My friend introducing me to his mom
  • Friend:Mom, this is Elizabeth, she's your band captain.
  • Mom:Oh. Wow. That's wonderful.
  • Friend:She's into music, birds. She reads on the taxonomy of birds from all around and even out of this world. She also won the Grammy.
  • Mom:For what?
  • Friend:No, Mom, THE Grammy.
  • Mom:Oh, THE Grammy. Yes.
  • Friend:She's in the running for the Noble Peace Prize.
  • Mom:Oh. She's taking that one guy's place, who recently died, huh? Wow. So great.
  • Friend:And she's your new drug buddy to do drugs with since we all know you do all the drugs.
  • Mom:Oh. Nice.
  • Friend:She's a strong powerful Latina woman who's ready to conquer the world by destroying one bitch at a time.
  • Mom:Good. I hate bitches.
  • Me:*BEST MOM EVER*
  • I love my friend's mom. She's so great. She's done something right because her son, my friend, is so boss. I can see where he gets his awesomeness from.
