Funny story behind this costume… This was the first big Swarovski project that I did for Dita. I had already done a few costumes for her, and it was time for another one! Unrelated to Dita, I had been contacted by a celebrity to make a crystal covered ensemble for her record album cover. We had a couple of meetings, and since it was such a rush project, I went ahead and purchased a not so small fortune worth of Swarovski Crystal for the project. Just as I was about to begin, the celebrity declared that I was an “imposter” and not the real Catherine D'Lish! Since I now had a truck load of light Siam and light Siam AB Crystal, I asked Dita, “hey – how would you like a red costume?” After that, we eventually made the giant red heart prop to go with it. It’s great to see this costume and show come back to life with the gorgeous Ginger Valentine! ❤️

Shooter opens up full auto on an outdoor country music concert in Vegas from the 37th floor of the Mandalay Bay building.  50 dead 200 injured.

More than 50 people were killed when Paddock opened fire into an outdoor country music festival from the 32nd floor of Las Vegas’ Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino on Sunday night, police said.

Sheriff Joseph Lombardo told reporters in a news conference that more than 200 people had been injured.Police responded to reports of the shooting just after 10 p.m. (1 a.m. ET), and later killed the suspected gunman — a local resident — in the Mandalay Bay Resort, he added.

Officials were searching for a woman they identified as Marilou Danley, who they identified as an Asian female traveling with the unnamed suspect, said Lombardo.

Police described the woman as Paddock’s companion.  Authorities described having found several weapons in Paddock’s hotel room after the shooting.

New Details Emerge About the Las Vegas, Mandalay Bay Shooting

As the body count rises to now 58 confirmed deaths and 500+ injuries resulting from last night’s Las Vegas shooting that occurred near the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, new details emerge about the act of terror and the shooter, Stephen Paddock.

According to MSN, the massacre was directed toward the open lot across the street from the shooter’s hotel room window on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay. His target was the crowd of people attending the last day of the three-day Route 91 Harvest festival that began on Friday. Jason Aldean, country star, was performing on stage at around 10:08pm local time when the shooting commenced, focusing in on the estimated 22,000 people in the audience.

Clark County Sheriff’s Department have questioned “person of interest” and Paddock’s roommate Marilou Danley but later concluded that she was not involved in the shooting. Danley is currently out of town visiting the Philippines and authorities say they will speak with her further when she returns.

After speaking with Paddock’s brother, police learned that their father was an armed bank robber who was on the FBI’s most wanted list in the 1960’s.

Police say that at least 10 rifles were found in the hotel room at the Mandalay Bay where Paddock had been staying since Sept 28. A Mesquite police spokesman has said that ammunition was found in the gunman’s home.

This event is considered to be the worst mass shooting in modern American history. The attack at Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Florida in June of 2016 that left 49 people dead and 58 injured is responsible for the second highest death toll.

May All Victims Rest in Peace.  U.S. flags on the grounds of the Washington Monument are lowered to half-staff, October 2, 2017 in Washington, DC. by a White House Presidential order following the mass shooting that left more than 50 dead and 200 wounded in Las Vegas. The gunman, identified as Stephen Paddock, 64, of Mesquite, Nevada, allegedly opened fire from the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino on an outdoor music festival. Police, under an ongoing investigation, have confirmed that one suspect has been shot.  Mark Wilson/Getty Images/AFP

Victims of the Las Vegas shooting

A kindergarten teacher from California, a youth wrestling coach from Pennsylvania and a commercial fisherman from Alaska were among at least 58 people killed by a gunman who opened fire at a Las Vegas country music festival Oct. 1 before killing himself.

Authorities are still investigating how the attack unfolded, but police identified 64-year-old Stephen Paddock as the lone gunman behind the rampage. Paddock opened fire on the Route 91 concert from his hotel room on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, where he had been staying for days. When a SWAT team swarmed his room, they found Paddock dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Authorities said they later seized at least 17 guns from the room. (Reuters/Yahoo News)

Chilling photo shows Air Force One flying past broken windows on Mandalay Bay hotel that Vegas gunman shot from

A chilling photo from President Donald Trump’s trip to Las Vegas on Wednesday showed Air Force One flying past the broken windows on the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino that a gunman fired from days earlier.

The photo, taken by Reuters photographer Mike Blake, showed the president’s plane in the air shortly after taking off from Las Vegas’ McCarran International Airport, which is across from the Mandalay Bay.

Trump visited Las Vegas to meet with victims and first responders from Sunday night’s shooting, the deadliest in modern US history. Fifty-nine people were killed and more than 500 were injured when 64-year-old Stephen Paddock began shooting from his hotel room on the 32nd floor into the crowd at a country music festival across the street.

Paddock killed himself as police were closing in on his hotel room. Investigators have not yet disclosed a motive.

When Paddock checked into the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino last week, he requested a room on a higher floor, but was told nothing was available. Then a room freed up and managers moved him to a 1,700sq ft suite on the 32nd floor. It lists for $590 a night. But as a big bettor, Paddock got it on the house.

Security appears to have paid little notice as he moved a series of bags containing 23 guns to the room. But they did respond to his complaints about loud music from a family staying in the room just below.
