Manafossen is located at a good driving distance from Stavanger in the beautiful area of Gjesdal. This river is the result of the 92m high waterfall. After the short (25 min.) but very though hike. We decided to stay here for the night, because this was the best location to set up our tent. After a while we witnessed this sunset with a beautiful coloured sky. Too bad we couldn’t see the sun, since we were surrounded by the mountains.
We took a day trip more inland from our lovely AirB&B in Randaberg to Byrkjedalstunet, and then Gloppedalsura. We encountered so much SNOW as we drove through the Lyseveien road, which includes 27 hairpin bends with views of the Kjerag peak. Unfortunately, the weather was not conducive to hiking to the Manafossen-a lovely waterfall.
