Stiles wakes up to Derek pulling him into his lap; arms protectively wrapping around him while softly hushing him. His throat is sore, he’s sucking for air, but he’s not screaming anymore. His heart is racing, the terror still aching heavily in his chest, and he’s clutching the arms holding him on pure instinct.
“You’re awake,” Derek tells him, his hot breath curling over the back of Stiles’ neck. “You’re okay. You’re awake.”
It takes a moment of further reassuring before Stiles remembers how to breathe again. He goes limp in Derek’s arms and probably would’ve fallen to the floor if it hadn’t been for Derek firmly keeping him in place. Stiles whimpers, wondering if his dad will come running, but figures he would’ve done it already if not thinking Derek could handle it.
“This was a bad idea,” Derek sighs into his hair. “I’m not helping.”
“You are,” Stiles pants out, chest still heaving and fingers still digging into Derek’s arm. He hadn’t been screaming as much this time, and despite the nightmare he has a feeling it’d be twice as horrible if Derek hadn’t been there. “Please, just— Don’t leave.”
His plea is barely a whisper, but he knows Derek heard it when he nuzzles his neck and tightens his arms around him.
Rather than directing time, you have to listen to it. It’ll tell you where the rift is, or where it’s torn. Time’s like threads woven into a pattern. It’s your job to understand the pattern and make sure you patch it up right. Some mechanics think you can control time, but that’s not how I see it. Time is in control of you. You just have to know how to let it guide you. How to feel it.
Family, friends… Everything l ever tried to hold onto… All of it trickled away, fell from my grasp. But a certain idiot once told me, “If you can’t hold something in your hand, then make a fist and take it by force!”
Exam season is upon us (actually, exam season has been this entire semester for me, really. I’ve had at least one exam every week since January) so I decided to make a little info graphic on the 5-day study plan.
Carmilla movie is filming for the next 2 weeks so I’ve been getting a lot of asks lately about plot and how excited everyone is so why not make a discord chat so we can all share that excitement? Would that be fine? We can all try and update each other when there’s a new snap. Should I only allow my followers in the chat or open it to anyone who wants to join? I only ask that bc it can get hectic with a lot of people (even tho I don’t think anyone will join lmao) and my followers know who and what I don’t like (danny, laf, anyone not hollstein basically)
I’ll allow some nsfw text but nothing too descriptive. Unless I should make an 18+ group chat as well? Let me know what you guys think and I’ll make one (even tho idk anything about discord yet lmao)
Would there be a better alternative to discord? (some might be put off since it’s specifically made for gamers but it’s a great chat place)
