maker: rachael

memoir me, left mumbling…
kneed deeply in a grass, that never stops growing
this glimmering of sickly green aglow

there’s no recovering from bottomless barrels
no cream rising aloft

find my bread, butter down, floored
no way to explain
the effortless ways you remake me

Rachael: “It seems you feel our work is not a benefit to the public”

Deckard: “Replicants are like any other machine, they’re either a benefit or a hazard. If they’re a benefit, it’s not my problem”

Rachael: “May I ask you a personal question?”

Deckard: “Sure”

Rachael: "Have you ever retired a human by mistake?”

Deckard: “No”

Rachael: “But in your position that is a risk”

So far, I really appreciate how the Bachelorette this season has touched on black love, interracial dating, fetishization, racial biases, negative stereotypes of poc…. and they have allowed Kenny (a black man) to be emotional and show that black men are loving FATHERS as well! It’s corny and scripted but I appreciate a net work television show (that is a household name!!) exposing a large audience of people who normally wouldn’t be exposed to some of these difficult conversations. They are actually allowing them to talk about some of our issues!! Now if only they’ll have more seasons w/diverse groups of people… one could only hope🤷🏽‍♀️
