On Yom Kippur’s afternoon at the mincha service we read along one of my favourite book as a haftarah - the Book of Jonah. The message of this book perfectly fits to the Day of Atonement, it’s about repentance (shuvah) and forgiveness.
“When my life was fainting away, I remembered the Lord, and my prayer came to you, into your holy temple. Those who pay regard to vain idols forsake their hope of steadfast love. But I with the voice of thanksgiving will sacrifice to you; what I have vowed I will pay. Salvation belongs to the Lord!” Jonah 2, 7-10.

God of Second Chances - Jonah

Veggie Tales was seriously one of the best parts of my childhood!
