When the boat starts to move, the one who determines its rhythm is the captain, and that’s Ohno
—

Hikaru-san after Ohno managed to solve the problems and keep the harmony into the team when they were on the verge of falling apart.

Man, the Mago Mago Rowing Club series it’s too precious and inspiring, Arashi in their 20′s are full of energy and dreams and never give up and I just love them ok

I’ve been rewatching all of Mago Mago Arashi episodes and I just finished watching the Rowing club series. I’ve forgotten how great it was.

Which made me think that a lot of new fans who are not familiar with old Arashi shows (let’s be honest, there’s so much to watch >< ) don’t know about this so I will definitely recommend to watch those episodes!

Did you ever dream to watch a drama series about Arashi real lives? Here it is; the Mago Mago Arashi Rowing club! You’ve got suspense, anger, hardships, friendship, laughter, BBQ, Ohno being leader-like, Arashi in tights…. You can get a glimpse of Arashi’s member with their public image a little off. Those episodes are really great and a must watch in my opinion!

The episodes are subbed and all up over at the Arashi dead link project, so go grab them if you haven’t already! It’s episodes 23, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34 and 35 of Mago Mago Arashi.

I hope you will enjoy this ^^

That time Oh-chan went all “Leader mode” on Sho-kun.

Warning: LONG POST. And if you haven’t noticed,  I love the Mago Mago Arashi Rowing Club series so so much. If you haven’t watched it yet, please do. That was gold. It was 2005. And comparing the Arashi of 2005 and of 2015? Makes you wonder if they really changed at all. Watching it is like taking a peek into their…. Just watch it, please.

So what started it all?

It was the episode where the Yama pair completely failed at rowing and couldn’t fulfil Hikaru-san’s dream.

Jun to Ohno: “When I say it was Riida being leader-like, I don’t mean it was Ohno-kun being like Ohno-kun, but our team leader being like a team leader. That’s the impression I got. There have been a lot of times when I’ve thought that about him since we started the rowing club. He never gave me that kind of impression at all before then, he really didn’t. He does it in the shadows, but when he steps into the foreground, he’s just not that kind of person. But he’s made enough progress to do that by himself. It made me think he’s a really leader-like Leader.”
