magister of worth

Today I saw an image of a foil that had supposedly ended up in a Prerelease pack. The foil was called "Magister of Worth". Can you say anything either way about this? We're all curious!

There is no card called Magister of Worth in Born of the Gods

Today has been a conspiracy filled day for MTG

Started with the conspiracy that Nathan Fillion is learning to play magic for the movie.

Magister of Worth was discovered, and is assumed part of the set Conspiracy (let’s all notice here, it is the Magister of Worth, and its not a value card so I assume its Worth Wolpert’s Magister)

Then Wizards started the treasure hunt with us chasing down a phone number to solve for the Cogwork Librarian, also likely a part of the Conspiracy set.

We’re going full National Treasure up in here. Speaking of which, did anyone check the back of the Magister with lemon juice?

Magic: the Gathering - Conspiracy!

During the Born of the Gods PreRelease at the ‘Neutral Grounds’ gaming store in the Philippines, this rather interesting card was pulled -

Magister of Worth, 4wb
Creature - Angel, Rare
Will of the council - When Magister of Worth enters the battlefield, starting with you, each player votes for grace or condemnation, If grace gets more votes, each player retures each creature card from his or her graveyard to the battlefield.  If condemnation gets more votes or the vote is tied, destroy all creatures other than Magister of Worth.

This is a REAL card, with the artist confirming that it was commissioned.  Worth Wollport (the Digital MTG Brand Manager) is reported to have also confirmed that this card is real.  This may be for an online only product and perhaps from Vintage Masters coming out in June, 2014.

EDIT UPDATE : Thinking this may be a multiplayer product registered as 'Conspiracy’ waaay back here.  Added a picture of the BACK of the card which had a phone number - to WotC Customer Service line with a pre-recorded message.  The weird message 'says’ this :

Encryption - 'Cogwork Librarian’ ?

CAUTION : Still all very unofficial at this time.

What are WotC's plans on giving sneak peeks into Khans of Tarkir? I'm not just talking about the set spoilers, this includes special advance teasers (like you did with Kiora and Magister of Worth) and dropped hints about mechanics. Which events should we be sure to keep an eye on?

Welcome to Blogatog!

On a completely unrelated note, have I told you all how excited I am to be going to San Diego Comic-Con later this week. I was looking through the schedule and would you believe it, there’s a Magic panel on Saturday from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. in Room 25ABC. I’m thinking of swinging by. : )
