And here are my pieces for The Enchanted World of Miyazaki: Tribute Show!!

It was such a wild weekend with such an incredible turnout of people and I got to meet so many of them (although I’m sorry if I missed you; I was only there for certain times). I’m extremely honored that I was able to be a part of such an experience as my first time as a part of a gallery! There was a lot of love and effort put into it and I can’t thank everyone who put it together and made it possible enough. And thank you so much if you were able to make it and I’m sorry to those who couldn’t.

Prints are available on my Storenvy

Haven’t had much time to draw for myself lately so I couldn’t help but indulge myself after watching that episode. It was absolutely beautiful and hats off to the crew and to Takafumi Hori for such a gorgeous episode.

(sorry I don’t have enough musical instrument prowess to play accompaniment)

EDIT: I can’t believe I posted this and I forgot the butterflies *facepalms*

man im really worried about the writers pairing off silver with madi... like it looks inevitable right now and i dont have anything against the character herself i think she kicks ass but this show was kinda a blessing for me with how it handles sexuality and stuff and having the writers pair off one of my fave characters with a woman who's played by a homophobic actress really just. makes me not be able to like the show as much as i did..

:/ ahh, I wish I could tell you something to discourage the idea of Silver and Madi ending up together, but I can’t say it’s impossible.

However, I think it’s important to separate the actress from her character. Zethu is not Madi and if she’s a professional I don’t believe her personal beliefs should have any effect on how she plays Madi or how these relationships develop. Her opinions are her own business. We may not agree with it, but considering she took on a role in a show that’s very open to LGBT representation, she can obviously separate herself from the story. So that’s what I did too, separated Madi from the actress. As you said, Madi is a kickass character, and hopefully she’ll only grow more into her role of the boss ass queen she is. So just try and focus on that. Focus on the character, not the person behind it. We don’t really know the person behind it anyway, and I personally don’t particularly care.

Also, remember that the writers are creating this story, not Zethu. It’s all in their hands. If they decide to pair Silver off with Madi, it won’t mean they’re catering to homophobia or someone’s personal beliefs. Nor does their relationship equal gay/bi erasure. If it happens, it’ll happen because they think Silver and Madi should be together. My only concern is that they make it believable then. I don’t personally agree with the relationship either, but it’s because I believe that, among other things, Madi deserves a better storyline. I trust the writers to continue being original, because they haven’t disappointed me so far.

Plus, this show is so much more than one potential het relationship :)

Need a Little Change Chords!

Here are more chords!! I know strumming patterns are still up on the request schedule, but I thought I’d give these a go for y’all since Ben just posted the demo (which is super cute) and I’m still getting my drawing software sorted for diagrams and such. For the bridge, I’d suggest trying to strum in the syncopated thing Jeff does…maybe I’ll demonstrate a pattern for this sometime. Good luck!!!!
