↳ Listen. Listen. This is just a dream. But very clever people can hear dreams. So please, just listen. I know you’re afraid. But being afraid is all right. Because didn’t anybody ever tell you? Fear is a super power. Fear can make you faster, and cleverer, and stronger. And one day, you’re going to come back to this barn, and on that day, you’re going to be very afraid indeed. But that’s okay. Because if you’re very wise and very strong, fear doesn’t have to make you cruel or cowardly. Fear can make you kind. It doesn’t matter if there’s nothing under the bed, or in the dark, so long as you know it’s okay to be afraid of it. So listen. If you listen to nothing else, listen to this. You’re always going to be afraid, even if you learn to hide it. Fear is like… a companion. A constant companion, always there. But that’s okay, because fear can bring us together. Fear can bring you home. I’m going to leave you something, just so you’ll always remember – fear makes companions of us all.

You laughed as you and your friends made your way through the crowd of slightly drunk people. Okay, more than just slightly. Just before you were about to reach the doors to the club, your friend Laurel stopped walking, making you and your other friend, Julia, stop as well.

“Alrighty girls-“ she started, raising her left eyebrow at you.

Oh no, you knew that look.

one last thing, I LOVED that they made Julia an artist. I have never been good at math or science, I was never that kind of autistic. but I did take to drawing very young, and improved very quickly. I wasn’t as good as Julia, but her art was made by an adult in the prop-making department so I don’t expect for it to look exactly like a 4 year old’s painting.

they didn’t frame her as some kind of ~artistic savant~ for her skill level, either. instead the comments were that her painting was silly and creative and that it looked just like her stuffed bunny. that was nice.

I have heard the stereotype that we have no imagination. that we are too literal and “closed off” to be creative or play pretend. I’m so glad that Julia is the opposite of that. I’m so glad she’s not a stereotype.

I can’t believe I got blocked by someone for saying that splitting isn’t abusive, immediately after they publicly posted my reply in their post where they took posts from BPD blogs about splitting and called them abusive. It’s not fucking abusive to split on someone.

And I don’t care if you have BPD or not, it’s gross to say that posts made about this symptom - that are essentially just “I split on people a lot” - are normalizing abuse… especially considering the huge number of people who have BPD that have it because they were abused.
