Madame Vastra: We were almost back to the TARDIS when…

The Master: (Looking around) So the Doctor has finally given up then?

Professor Song: Taking a little break. You know how hard that man works. I tried, oh how I tried, to make him take a vacation from all this “saving the universe” stuff, but he would never listen.

The Master: Clever, I can see why he chose you. (He walks toward a nearby bookshelf, flicks his fingers across the spines.) So fitting, all your stories ending here. No need to flick to the end of the book, “The tale of the Doctor’s lost army”. Everybody knows that everybody dies.

Professor Song: Spoilers, sweetie.

The Master: I don’t care how many years you spent with him, you’re a poor copy.

Professor Song: I never tried to be, nobody ever could be.

After the fight , The Master vanished in front of River.

Professor Song: Escaping through space and time? Cheap. The Doctor always had a rather low opinion of him, and now I can see why.

Missy: That may well have been true in the past…But things change, don’t they Melody? My, my, look at you all. Like….lost children. Or a pack of adorable but ultimately gullible and disposable puppies. Remnants of a history which is about to no longer exist. (She scans around the room, her eyes lingering on Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart.) Oh, I do like a man in a uniform!

Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart: You’re not going to like this one.

Missy calling River her real name is probably my fav thing in this game??? The girls have some things in common don’t they? Like, fancy a boy in a uniform? Please tell me they do sometimes hang out together, talking about the types of boys and girls they like, and have a love-hate friendship? - that would make my day.

And River trying to persuade her husband to take a rest is so sweeeet I melted. My otp is so married. (>V<)

Moffat's a misogynist and is ruining Doctor Who

So we have mothers, lovers, companions, queens, detectives, lesbians, models, archaeologists, teachers…Who can be sassy, strong, gun-totting, weak, child like, caring, loving, insightful, married, not married, in love with the doctor, not in love with the doctor, confused, scared, saving the day, waiting to be rescued, needy,…we could go on but that is a pretty extensive list of different characteristics and roles.

The main reasons I automatically stop listening whenever someone bands around the word misogynistic in relation to Moffat’s writing or ‘all the women are the same, the same sassy perky character’, 'his characters are so one dimensional’. Because if they were really paying close attention and taking each individual on their merit and not just seeing male/female and jumping to conclusions, then it would be a different story.

Yes they all revolve around the Doctor, but guess what, it’s his show! Everyone revolves around him. Show me a male character (apart from the Doctor) who are as well developed, have as much screen time or influence in plot/motives/dialogue as women of the show, it can’t be done.

Madam Vastra and Jenny!  Interracial (inter-SPECIES) space lesbians to the rescue!

My fave part of the last couple seasons of Dr Who.  I’d love to watch a series about these two.  There is a lot to be explored about their relationship, playing with the inherent inequality of their ages and stations, yet the love they share makes them stronger together than apart!  So interesting.  And adorable!  This is my homage to them <3333

It is indie saturday if you follow holiday kickoff season nomenclature, and I have an etsy store you can peruse to find all kind of nerdy delights!  Support artists and creators today and every day ^^

Doctor Who Gifs | Vastra & Jenny

ALRIGHT! Now, with Ellen Paige coming out and people going, “but why do they need to tell us what an attention whore blah blah blah” I thought I’d make this. You know why?! Vastra and Jenny where the reason I came out. I thought, you know if they can be a lesbian lizard/human ninja couple in victorian london why the hell can’t I be myself ?! Why can’t I be as comfortable as them? And it hit me, I could. It gave me courage. And The Doctor, my hero, accepts them. Seeing him accept them without a word is more than I could ask for. Seeing them was hugely relieving, took a burden off my shoulders and prevented me from sinking deeper into depression. It saved me. I didn’t feel so alone. Not when I watched them on screen. Not when I saw how people loved them, how well written they where, how there relationship was only a part of them and they were REAL CHARACTERS! Not the butt of jokes! Not just “the gay people”! They made me feel okay. Along with PROVING how IMPORTANT TEACHING TOLERANCE TO CHILDREN IS AND HOW THEY WILL EASILY ACCEPT IT AND IT WILL NOT HARM THEM TO SEE THINGS NOT IN THE “NORM” IT ALSO SHOWS HOW HUGELY IMPORTANT REPRESENTATION IS IN THE MEDIA. SO IMPORTANT. Without Vastra and Jenny….I don’t know where I’d be right now. I’m comfortable and have a girlfriend and loving family, but without the first step, I would not be where I am today. So i want to personally thank both actresses and the writers for saving my life, basically. It was exactly what I needed and I look up to all of you. Thank you for being an inspiration. *rant over*
