Macklemore is my idol.
I completely support gay rights; 100%. Macklemore is such an inspiration. Most rappers are rapping about everyone being gay or being a fag, Macklemore is nothing like that. Same Love is an amazing, inspirational song. It opens people’s eyes as to what they are saying. “‘man that’s gay’ gets dropped on the daily” like it’s nothing. There is nothing wrong with being gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender. It’s just part of who you are and you can’t just change.
Not only is Same Love an inspirational song; 99% of his songs are. He is an amazing rapper. He is not like the others.
Macklemore has done it again. I can’t begin the emotions I felt when listening to this song. When you fight for so long and someone recognizes what you and millions of other people have been fighting for is an amazing feeling. Thank you Macklemore for being an amazing person, for using your voice and your fame to talk about the problems that black people face, and letting them know that they deserve better, they deserve more, and their voices and words are not unjust. If you haven’t listened to this yet please do.
