Summary: The one with Luke and sleepy morning cuddles.
The bright sunlight filtered in through the blinds, making the bedroom way too bright for eight in the morning. You woke up with all of the blankets surrounding you and you were happy to be warm. You stretched your arms out and ended up smacking someone in the face, causing you great worry, but upon realization that it was in fact your boyfriend, Luke who you had knocked out in your morning stretch, you were now in a fit of giggles.
“M'sorry baby! Forgot you were here,” you said, hopefully making up for the thwack against his forehead. A groan fell from his lips as he rubbed the bridge of his nose and you giggled silently to yourself.
You’re quite the blanket hog when you sleep so Luke usually ends up with extra layers on when the two of you wake. He had gone to sleep with his Nike shorts and tshirt and woke up with sweatpants and a gray hoodie. Its cute that he lets you keep them. He knows it isn’t personal. You’re used to sleeping alone more often than not and that’s why he was smacked in the head this morning.
“Baby did I hurt you that bad?” You asked, trying to hide your escaping giggles.
"Yes, this is it, it’s the end!” Luke said dramatically, throwing his arms up in defeat.
"What am I gonna do with you?” You asked.
"I dunno. Maybe not whack me in the face while I’m sleeping?” He asked, making it his turn to giggle.
"I said I’m sorry! What more do you want from me?!”
"Kiss it better please,” he said, his voice raspy.
"Lu, don’t be ridiculous,” you said.
His lips turned down into a frown, pouting at you and he blinked his steel blue eyes, still pleading. He knows you can’t resist that face.
"Ugh, I hate that I’m so weak for those eyes of yours! If I ‘kiss it better’ will you forgive me?!” You asked. He nodded.
You rolled over and fixed the blankets as you went, covering Luke with them again, truly begging for extra forgiveness. You climbed over him, straddling his stomach, and you gave soft kisses to his forehead and his nose as he sighed, finally getting what he wanted.
"Good, babe?” You asked.
"No, not enough. More please,” he said, smiling.
"So greedy,” you mumbled but obliged.
You kissed the same spots yet again and this time kissed over his eyelids and cheeks and finally stopping to press a kiss to his lips. He wrapped his arms around you and kissed you back, unexpectedly. When you finally parted, you mocked his dramatic stance from earlier.
"I can’t believe you tricked me!!” You pouted.
It was Luke’s turn to giggle again, kissing you again and again to make you smile.
"Sorry baby, I just love your kisses,” he said, shrugging. He pulled you down to him but this time so your head rested on his chest, just above his heart. It was your favorite place to fall asleep; his heartbeat your favorite lullaby. Your legs tangled together and breaths coming in unison. His fingers tangled in your hair as he gently scratched your scalp, taking the time to enjoy being with you.
"We’re not leaving this bed today,” he said.
"Luke, we have to eat at some point!”
"We’re not leaving this bed except to eat today,” he corrected and you giggled. You draped an arm over his middle and sighed, grateful to have your boy home and grateful to finally be in his arms.
