luke godwin

This is the next show I’m putting on in Manchester. It’s on my birthday (because why the fuck not?!) and the headliner is a band I’ve wanted to put on for a while.

The Retrospective Soundtrack Players are a concept band from Portsmouth who’ve written two records based around, pop-culture touchstones, ‘Cool Hand Luke’ and 'The Catcher In The Rye’. Both records are fantastic and you should totally check them out. They supported Frank Turner on New Year’s Eve too, if that makes a difference?

Joining The RSP is Helen Chambers who is seriously one of my favourite people in the world. Helen’s got an album coming out real soon that has some really special guests on it and I’m well excited to hear it.

Adam Boucher & The Dead Set are also playing. Boucher supported my friend Dave on tour a few months back and he was awesome. Billy Bragg-esque, shouty anti-folk goodness.

Another of my favorite people, Luke Godwin will be opening the show. His record is really rad and you should listen to his band Break-Ups too!
