In 1983, photojournalist Luis Morier returned from an agenda towards drafting the Jornal do Brazil by road Grajaú-Jacarepagua in Rio de Janeiro when faced with a blitz of PM in a slum. Just got out of the car and began to take pictures. Suddenly he saw a scene that seemed unbelievable nowadays, six black residents of the community were arrested and led by a PM, tied by the neck as slaves. The photo titled “All Blacks” ran the world and earned him the photograph of Esso Award 1983.
