Original Stories carries this message to children in story format illustrated with engravings by artist and fellow writer William Blake. Original Stories is a frame story of a woman, Mrs. Mason, charged with re-educating two girls, 12 and 14-years old. Mrs. Mason relies on fables and stories from her past to instruct the girls on how to mature into intelligent and compassionate adults.
