Reclaiming Fitspo: Yani Tseng
Tseng is a Taiwanese professional golfer who is the youngest player ever to win five major championships.
Born in 1989, Tseng was the top-ranked amateur in Taiwan from 2004 to 2006. She won a significant number of championships, allowing her to go professional in early 2007. She quickly established herself as a formidable opponent, being named LPGA Tour Rookie of the Year in 2008 and LPGA Tour Player of the Year in both 2010 and 2011.
In March of 2009, Tseng became the fastest player in LPGA history to reach the $2 million mark in career earnings.
She then went on to be ranked number 1 in the Women’s World Golf Rankings for 109 consecutive weeks from 2011 to 2013.
Although Tseng has been relatively inactive since 2012, she is currently poised at four points away from qualifying for the World Golf Hall of Fame.
