love this interview so much

How close do you think is the relationship between Bang Shi Hyuk and Bangtan? Also on a different note, I was wondering if you think BTS is more recognized overseas or than in Korea? Thought to ask this since you might have better insight, actually being Korean.

I really do think that Bang Shi Hyuk and bts are close to each other, I believe that he’s a father figure to them. I mean, just listen to Namjoon when he was accepting an award at the most recent MAMAs on behalf of Bang Shi Hyuk- Namjoon literally said the words “as one of his sons”. When Joon accepted his award again at golden disk, he even made a joke about Bang’s diet and you wouldn’t do that to your ceo unless you were obviously close friends with him or had comfortable relationship with him. When Bang Shi Hyuk actually showed up to receive his award for AAA, literally all of bts were going wild in their seats and making hearts and smiling really widely. And then again, bts always makes fun of the “ayo hitman bang introduces hit it second audition” video and have been doing so since their early debut so again, I really do think that they’re close with one another and that Bang Shi Hyuk treats them very well. Plus, they eat together frequently and Bang Shi Hyuk always posts cute stuff about them (like recently he tweeted “i miss you” when bts was doing their us tour).

I really respect him because it seems like he respects bts as artists and people and doesn’t just see them as his money makers (just read his recent interviews). He gives them freedom and advice (Namjoon created the “I once saw an ant going somewhere” verse in lost based on one of the conversations he had with him) and honestly wants them to develop their talents. He doesn’t try to force any concept that bts is uncomfortable with and earnestly supports the members using their albums to tell their stories. BTS obviously realizes this as well, which is why I strongly believe that they have a good relationship with each other and that they have one unlike any other “big” ceo out there.

And hmm…I think that they actually are recognized the same amount in both countries? If you compare the amount of times a “candid” photo of bts comes out when they’re oversees to the amount of times that one comes out in Korea, they’re actually about the same. Regardless of what anti’s say, bts is undoubtedly one of the most popular groups in Korea right now and is on par with their popularity overseas (obviously there is a huge population difference between the two but regardless of that-)

Everyone is entitled to their opinions and everyone is entitled to their beliefs … but if the opinions and feelings are rooted in denying certain people basic human rights, I’ve got a problem with that.

Wanna hear what Lili thinks about her scenes with Juggie in her room? Here’s a snippet of Lili Reinhart’s commentary about the adorable Betty & Jughead exchange! I made the video to visualize their commentary… ~ From the fun filled entertaining 2hour long official podcast with Lili, Madelaine & Bob Barth with RiverdalePCast yesterday ~ Full transcript & video below cut.

Bob: Back at the Cooper’s place and Betty is getting ready for the funeral…and who’s gotten a little suit on?
Bob: And he looks good!
Lili: She sees him with the suit on but still got the beanie though.
Mads: What’s his hair like under there though?
Lili: We’ll find out….
Bob: It’s gotta be dreadlocks…when’s the last time he shampooed? *laughs*
Lili: Ohh….the questions will be answered.
Yeah, she… I think obviously you can see there’s growing chemistry between the two…and it’s quite apparent especially in that scene. You know she gives a little… “Oh, you clean up nice. Ya know…kinda one of those things…Urm.. yeah.
Bob: And there’s something thats…..well Cole has always been a good looking kid. I didn’t know the Disney show. But I knew him as Ross’s son on Friends!
Lili: Yeah! Ben!
Bob: So I was like "OH THAT’S COLE!” And he’s got a GREAT smile and you never see Jughead do it!
Jug is just sort of  …and we can’t understand why…but he’s sort of a dour…he’s got a lot on his shoulders. So when he DOES crack a smile, your heart melts.
Lili/Mad: Yeah….
Bob: And it works for EVERYONE.
Lili: I think Betty…makes Jug happy…brings out the happiness in him.
Bob: That’s great.

I wanna talk about this interview...

A lot of people have been passing this image around the internet and laughing about how its yet another example about how much Harrison gives no fucks about Star Wars, and isn’t his honesty hilarious, and blah blah…

But did anyone actually watch this interview?

Because…I honestly loved this moment so much for the exact opposite reason.

Yes, Harrison gives this joke and everyone laughs at his bluntness. But then IMMEDIATELY afterward he clarifies that he isn’t really looking forward to watching the Han Solo movie because he thinks it will be strange to watch someone else be Han.

Everything about the rest of that interview - his statements, his tone - make it clear that the reason why he isn’t looking forward to the Han Solo movie is because HE is Han Solo and he is going to have a hard time passing along that mantle to someone else.

It’s not that he doesn’t care.

It’s the opposite.

Harrison Ford has made a real effort in these past couple of years to reverse the idea that he hates Star Wars. He was so unbelievably happy and gracious at the Celebration panel this year. He’s been outspoken about how he is happy to be a part of it and how grateful he is to George Lucas and the fans. He has acknowledged that Star Wars was the catalyst for his entire movie career and credited the fact that he is still working today to the fans.

And he seems sincere.

I don’t know why people want to hold on so desperately to the image of resentful Harrison Ford.

Because he hasn’t existed for a long time.
