The proud spear

To me, Yamaguchi Tadashi is one of the more relatable characters in Haikyuu!! I don’t personally know anyone that, at 15, had the drive and boundless warmth of a Hinata, or the talent and perseverance of a Kageyama. I do know Yamaguchi’s, because Yamaguchi is normal. He’s athletic but not exceptionally skilled. He does well in school, but isn’t as smart as Tsukki. He’s friendly and sociable, but has a few typical teenager insecurities. He has fuzzy feelings about Yachi, because honestly, what normal human being wouldn’t?

Nothing about him really stands out until he decides to stand out.

Minor spoilers from the manga under the cut. The bits from the final part of his character development should hopefully be animated near the end of Season2!

  • Me on a date: So what do you think of the Yogscast fandom on tumblr?
  • Them: Ugh I hate them, they're so fanatical. Really the art is the only valuable thing, though of course I don't view those people as tumblr-ers like all the others, I just view them as artists-
  • Me, shoving breadsticks into my purse: sorry I have to go home right now immediately
  • Not What He Seems: "I wanted to say that you're gonna hear some bad things about me, and some of them are true, but trust me, everything I've worked for, everything I care about, it's all for this family! Look into my eyes, Mabel! You really think I'm a bad guy?"
  • A Tale of Two Stans: "You stay away from the kids; I don't want them in danger. Cause as far as I'm concerned, they're the only family I have left."
  • Dungeons, Dungeons, and More Dungeons: "Eh, maybe let 'em get a couple bites in Ford's brain first. Even things out smartness-wise."
  • The Stanchurian Candidate: "Kids, if I die, make sure I get a bigger tombstone than Ford."
  • The Roadside Attraction: "Alright, kid. I gotta admit something. I'm no expert on women. Truth is, I've been divorced once, and slapped more times than I can remember."
  • Dipper and Mabel vs The Future: "Hey, at least whatever happens after this summer, you'll still have your brother along with you through thick and thin. Not everyone can say that, you know."
You will never get me to stop talking about chapter 61

It’s the peak of all the emotions from both characters, it’s the fulfillment of Baz’s dream, it was Simon’s way to save Baz, it was the very moment that made Simon realize his feelings for Baz (because he was still oblivious about it even after sleeping under the same roof/bed with Baz), it was the moment Baz crossed the boundary keeping them apart, it was the moment their fighting truly stopped, it was the moment Baz was so cold and the world was so hot, AND ALEISTER CROWLEY THEY ARE BOTH LIVING CHARMED LIVES!!!

can we just take a moment to talk about how supportive and amazing amy is with her fans? like so many of her tweets are just her being shocked by having such an amazing fan base and thanking us and she’s the one providing us with these amazing characters and working crazy hour days, yet she is so appreciative all the time and it’s just so wow ?? like today she actually took the time to look through the tag the poi fandom created and read and favorited a bunch of our tweets, like ? she’s just so amazing i don’t even have words.
