“The sword of Elendil was forged anew by Elvish smiths, and on its blade was traced a device of seven stars set between the crescent Moon and the rayed Sun, and about them was written many runes; for Aragorn, son of Arathorn was going to war upon the marches of Mordor. Very bright was that sword when it was made whole again; the light of the sun shone redly in it, and the light of the moon shone cold, and its edge was hard and keen. And Aragorn gave it a new name and called it Andúril, Flame of the West.” - The Fellowship of the Ring, J R R Tolkien

Which scene/ movie is it where legolas peers out from behind Theoden, makes a weird face, then pulls back? The gif is under background legolas tag a lot. I've got the extended edition, watched them many times but i can't seem to find it! Thanks :)

to be honest, i’m not entirely sure! i want to say it’s from the two towers due to the background and from what i can see of what theoden is wearing (and that seems to be the movie with the most background legolas gold). guess this means i will have to watch them again myself. c: anyone else know?

two towers, helms deep, theoden is talking to aragorn about the defense of the fortress. it's either when they're standing out in front of the gate or when they're over the gate on the walls.

FOUR FOR YOU. THANK YOU. it was starting to bother me as well. still gonna watch them all again anyway because i can. but thank youuu.
