Very Very Unpopular Opinion

Elia stans need to chill. Look, I love her so much and I’ll always defend her cos she just deserved so much better!!!! but you just can’t blame Rhaegar for what happened to her????. We know that they never loved each other and Rhaegar was so in love with Lyanna but he is not guilty of what happened with Elia!. Stop blaming him!

And tbh I think this annulment is the worst plot twist ever. It’s childish and it just makes no sense. I don’t see this happening in the books. D&D are really doing shit. OMG really dafuq is this?. The Tudors Westeros version?. Pfff….

Okay, here’s the deal. If you haven’t read murkybluematter’s FemHarry Potter AU series, then you’re missing out. She’s on book four now and it’s the most dazzling thing I’ve had the pleasure of reading. I’ve been following the series for 2/3 years now (I lose track) and if there’s one FemHarry series I’d ever recommend, it’s this one.

So if you haven’t done so, go read it all (each book is over 100,000 words as well, so lots of goodness to read)

The Art of Happiness

I agree with this show was dark to begin with and that this season is even darker but I do think there is a line especially on a show aimed for teens I think recently it has crossed a line on some touchy and sensitive subjects that they should of at least put warnings out so people know what will be expected so they won't get triggered I do think people where blinded by clexa and hasn't realised this show is quite dark but I still think at this moment in time it's crossing a line

First off, that wasn’t my post, i just reblogged it. I actually have had the same thoughts, I can’t help but to think that if Lexa and Clexa was still in the show that there wouldn’t be as much of a ‘witch hunt’/ ‘mob mentality’ about Lincoln’s death, ALIE possessing Raven and cutting her wrists, and the questionable scene between Ontari and Murphy. For this episode (3.10) people we given warning about how things could be triggering, so people were given advanced notice to watch it or not. The show has definitely crossed a ‘graphic violence’ line with me. Show the mans eyes being gouged out and showing the bullet going into Lincoln’s head crossed a line. The show has been dark, but there is a difference between being dark and being chronically depressing. This show has a lack of hope, and the audience needs that to want to keep watching. This show is getting too ‘graphic violence porny’ for me. You can have the same emotional response from the audience by seeing the emotional effects of the violence on the character, instead of the violence (blood, gore, etc.) itself. Idk if that made sense, but there isn’t a need for it to be so graphic.

I have my own critiques about the show and this season, but my main focus is to personally (and try to encourage others) to stop dwelling on the negative. Focus on your health and remember that people view this show with different life experiences and interpret the show in different ways. I miss the fandom that felt like home. I now feel like an orphan in an orphanage with all the rest of the clexa fandom that shares my same thoughts. We feel like we won’t ever find a home again, but we try to create a small positive one with the shit storm of negativity surrounding us from both the fandom and the show.

For all those Chicago fans that complain about how disrespectful & classless LA fans are for chanting Crawford’s name & Chicago sucks …I’ll just leave this right here.

In all honesty every arena and every fan base has their owe way of taunting the other team when their home team scores, whether if its chanting the opposing goalie’s name or dancing/singing Chelsea Dagger.

If you can’t handle the opposing team’s taunts like everyone else then maybe you should only attend/watch home games. I want to thank the older fans for understanding, its typically the younger fans (from every fan base) that complains when its done to their team.

Why did you move out of R's place anyway? Just curious...

I should be more fair to her, but the whole situation just makes me lol.

So, I didn’t know R when I moved in with him, and it was supposed to be a temporary, 6-to-8 month situation while I looked for another place to live. I was paying rent, and in fact I was paying more than we agreed on at the first meeting because his mother actually owned the place and she and R had a difference of opinion about rent. I didn’t mind, it was still less than a place of my own in the same neighborhood and he had a really nice kitchen.

Anyway, after living there a few months I told R I’d like to stay longer, he and his mother agreed on the understanding that I was still month to month, and I stayed for ten months total.

What happened next was, I think, a combination of two things. The first was that his mother and godmother, both of whom have genuine cleaning-based OCD, came over one time while we weren’t there and cleaned everything so viciously and thoroughly that when I got home I literally thought we’d been robbed. I’m not a messy person, but R is, and I wasn’t going to clean his shit up, so we lived somewhere between “typical bachelor” and “frat house before the kegger”. I kept a very clean kitchen and had my own bathroom, and the rest I didn’t worry about. Apparently his mother did.

I didn’t find the cheese grater for like, three days.

I think his mother had hoped I would clean up after him, or set a better example, or something? And was upset when she found out I was apathetic about cleaning, and decided to get rid of me.

But also, there was this situation where a family friend had just finished grad school and needed a place to crash in Chicago. The idea was that I would move out (I got 45 days’ notice) and this guy would move in, and that is what happened, with me moving into an apartment down the block because I liked the area and was familiar with it. Post-Grad-School-Family-Friend moved in with R, and then after two months broke his lease to move out because he was getting a place with his girlfriend.

I felt sort of gleeful about that.

What followed was several years of R finding, and then losing within 2-3 months, a series of terrible roommates, none of whom were as interesting OR as good at Wheel of Fortune as I was. And his mother, as his landlord, was for the most part stuck eating the portion of the rent that normally a roommate would cover. The last roommate to actually stick was his stepbrother, who is his polar opposite in almost every way, and who stayed for eight months before getting his own place.

I’d feel worse about it if she and R were close, the way I am with my mum. But she’s kind of a terrible person and R doesn’t get on well with her – he calls my mum “Mama [firstname]” and I think Mum genuinely cares about his wellbeing (as opposed to his marital status or net worth) more than his own mother, so I’m less sympathetic.

It’s been a long, wild couple of years for R and me. God knows what’ll happen next, but at least his mother doesn’t control either of our fates anymore. :D
