los angeles stories

The T.O. & the BOOT! I’m really excited about this project. I’ve been developing it for a good handful of years and am currently figuring out publishing options. It’s a pretty crazy story with quite a few moving parts, so I’m still tightening things up; but I’m hoping to have something for people to read ONLINE for FREE sometime soon!

It’ll be my first time doing my own thing (Story + Art) since serializing PEEPO CHOO with Kodansha and I’m really PUMPED!

I might have to try crowdfunding this. Hope I can get enough interest & support! More info soon!

POST UPDATE: Just adding some more teaser images :)

Timelapse views of fireworks over Los Angeles are my new favorite thing from this year’s July 4.

Bubbles of tar coming up at the La Brea tar pits, Los Angeles. Los Angeles basin is built on sediments that actually held large amounts of oil - the area was heavily drilled for oil in the first part of the 20th century before the population boomed. This tar bubble is from that same buried organic ooze.
