lorde humongous

Yah so that SPM poster is still a thing. I haven’t touched it since…June? July? I’ll definitely finish it, but damn it’s a load of carpel tunnel (not really, I fortunately don’t have that, but you get the jist. It’s a pain :P).

I really like it, but I’m ambitious AS YOU CAN SEE, so yahhhhhhhh… I still have a METRIC TON of work to do on this YOU DON’T EVEN KNOW. I want to do this game justice, so forgive my slowness and missing the anniversary by many many months, but hey, I’m busy, and I’m trying. (Francis, Luigi & Mr. L look terrible, shut up, I know. I’ll fix them if I can find a better way to draw them. Or if I have the energy to fix them. Also yes, that purple Fracktail is supposed to be the one from the pit, but I couldn’t find a way to inverse it and I am way to lazy to. You know what he is, it’s fine. If I nitpick then it’s never getting done aghhhhh why did I do this to myself). The bluish background is a placeholder. It’ll be readjusted at some point, but it get’s an idea of what to do right now.

This will be on the backburner for quite a while.

Hey, I just found your blog and it made me remember and rediscover my love for Fury Road, so thanks for that! I was wondering what your opinion was on the old Mad Max trilogy? I never saw them until after seeing FR, and I really disliked them unfortunately. I couldn't care about the characters, or the plot, or be impressed by the effects(not that that last one's the film's fault, it's just aged). Any reviews that I see view it as an epic, and I just can't see it so was wondering what you thought

Hey! Glad you like the blog. :-)

Regarding the first three Mad Max movies…honestly, I love them. But I love them more as film artifacts than as something I’d sit down and watch a hundred times over like Fury Road. They’re just so delightfully weird and absurd and different from so many other action movies. They definitely show their age at times, but I think there are really interesting things about all three of them.

(This got long so I’m putting the rest under the cut.)
