ANDREW ACCIDENTALLY CALLING NEIL CUTE IN FRONT OF THE FOXES P L E A S E

IT IS OFFICIALLY MY SEMESTER BREAK!!!!!! ajfhdajkhfdajh this is the best prompt EVER let me have this self-indulgent headcanon

  • the foxes, because they like a.) challenges and b.) making money out of these challenges, get the idea to play Andreil Trope Bingo
  • nicky starts it, purely out of boredom, as well as out of the desire to spite kevin for being too exy-focused even if the season’s over
  • he creates a card with things like “andrew buying food for neil” “neil smiling behind andrew’s back” “one talking about the other when the other is not there” “andrew hurting someone for neil” “rooftop date” “andreil going late to practice together”
  • after the whole team making edits to the bingo card, a copy is given to everyone
  • word gets around, but as andrew and neil are two of the most oblivious people in the world, they don’t catch wind of it
  • eventually, everybody (including wymack and bee) gets in on it, because the pot rises to be two grand (can you guys believe? two fucking grand for a couple’s trope bingo)
  • they make it a race of sorts - as andrew and neil aren’t normally affectionate in public (neil being the more touchy of the two, but still severely lacking in comparison to the stereotype of Normal Couples), they all have to be there at certain times of the day
  • dan clearly established the “no fishing rule” at the start but some of them can’t help themselves - they’re just really lucky sometimes
  • renee is the first to check “andrew wearing one of neil’s shirts” after she notices at their weekly sparring session
  • aaron (unluckily enough) gets the first shot at “andreil making out by the lockers” after his shift to tidy up the court
  • nicky is first witness at “one being lowkey possessive over the other” when he catches a glimpse of andrew frowning down someone at the bar for checking out neil
  • at the end of it all, they’re all left with one box blank
  • “andrew calling neil cute”
  • and everybody is just ??????
  • because andrew would never do that. not in a million years
  • only neil seems like the type to do so - but even neil hasn’t said anything of the sort
  • everybody’s panicking because they’re all so close yet so far away
  • fast forward; it’s been a little over a month since everyone’s only got that last box blank, and they’ve all been fishing
  • matt has asked, on multiple occasions, what andrew thought of neil when he smiled
  • allison has pointed out how good neil looked when she gave him her last haircut
  • bee even got ahold of neil’s baby pictures and showed them to andrew on a visit of his
  • wymack, at some point, tried asking if “cute” was really the specific word they all needed to hear (”What if he says ‘adorable’? You know Minyard gets all wordy at some point.”)
  • they all flail around for another week until the foxes’ weekly movie night
  • it happens on a thursday at neil and andrew’s room, because it was their turn
  • everyone is seated around the television, either on armchairs, the sofa, or on beanbags
  • neil coughs and pounds his chest
  • andrew gets up from the sofa so fast and gets neil a glass of water
  • upon getting the glass, neil goes “Ah.That was just a test. Thanks for putting in the effort.”
  • neil is smirking and all, thinking he’s so clever, the cheeky bastard
  • and no one is prepared for andrew’s “Mmm. That’s cute. Move over.”
  • everybody is suddenly scrambling for their cards in their pockets
  • IT’S LIFE OR DEATH AT THIS POINT, PEOPLE
  • THAT LAST BOX IS ALL THAT M A T T E R S
  • nicky is like “Shit shit shit shit shit shit–”
  • kevin frustratingly goes “Where the fuck is my pen–”
  • bee is like “That’s unfair, I didn’t bring my card!”
  • it’s dan-the-legend-wilds that gets to cross out the box first and she yells (half-drunkenly) “BingobingobingobingoBINGO MOTHERFUCKERS!!”
  • matt’s like “Babe we’re going halfsies on that right–” while allison yells “THAT”S GOING INTO OUR NAIL POLISH FUND!”
  • wymack is in the moment and is like “Dan, you’re sharing with me, or you’re out of the fucking team.”
  • renee is groaning and shaking her head while aaron is just shrugging and texting katelyn he lost
  • in the midst of the chaos and debating-who-got-it-first is andrew and neil, clueless as fuck, staring at them all and at one another
  • neil is blinking in confusion while andrew is stony-faced
  • they go out of the room and leave the madness that is the foxes coming up with another bet and searching for money in their wallets
Lonely Hearts Club (One Shot)

Pairings: Bucky x Reader

Warnings: Jealous Bucky, tons of smut (NSFW)

Word Count: 3195

Summary: Y/N is set on not going to the Lonely Hearts party with Wanda and Nat. After a humiliating breakup in front of the team, she wants to get through this Valentine’s Day as quickly and painlessly as possible. That is until Bucky helps convince her that the party may not be a bad idea after all.

Author’s Notes: This is my first all out smut piece. So… um… yeah.  I seriously hate Valentine’s Day with a passion.

“Oh come on Y/N! Please come out with us tonight!” Wanda begged from the couch. I rolled my eyes playfully as she launched one of Tony’s throw pillows in my direction.

“You know it’s going to actually be a lot of fun,” Nat chastised.

I grimaced at the thought. “But I hate Valentine’s Day – I would rather just stay here and binge watch Netflix with a bottle or two of wine,” I complained. It was true – I absolutely hated Valentine’s Day – especially after being dumped on New Year’s Eve in front of everyone. I really just wanted to wallow in my loneliness and get through the day as painlessly as possible. “What’s the party theme again?” I asked cautiously – I didn’t want to give them false hope that they would no doubt latch onto.

“It’s a lonely hearts party. It will be a lot of fun! You can wallow and party with all the single people,” Nat chuckled as Wanda bobbed her head excitedly.

“That sounds so stupid,” I groaned in exasperation. I knew it was all in vain. There was no way I could get myself out of going.

“What are you all talking about?” Bucky’s voice came from behind me causing me to jump and turn a deep shade of scarlet.

Nat snickered at my reaction as Wanda launched into her sale’s pitch of the party. She was hell-bent on talking everyone into it if she could. After listening patiently Bucky turned to look at me – his eyes narrowing slightly, “Are you going?” he asked carefully.

My heart did a backflip. Was he asking to mock me or because he wanted to go if I was going? I swallowed thickly before answering. “Um well… I guess,” I answered defeated as he smirked slightly.

“I guess Steve and I can tag along too. We don’t have anything else to do. You know Sam will be down if there are single chicks there,” he shrugged slightly before sauntering out of the room. My eyes remained glued to him unapologetically as I watched the way his muscles moved under the thin fabric of his shirt.

“EARTH TO Y/N,” Nat called from above me.

“Er what?” I asked embarrassed. I could feel the blush creeping up my neck and face again. They had totally just caught me.

“Are you done eye-fucking Bucky or should we give you a minute?” Nat chuckled as I gasped. She had my full attention now. “We’re leaving at 7 – make sure you’re ready on time!” she added. I shook my head nervously as I chewed on my bottom lip.

It was always impossible to not notice Bucky – mainly because of his sheer physical presence, but I had found myself especially distracted by him in the last few weeks. When Jonathan had dumped me at Tony’s New Year’s party Bucky had been the one to physically remove him, maybe a little too physically, out of the party. A week later I had a dreamed about Bucky – which had caused me to wake up saying his name, and covered in sweat. Since then I couldn’t help but imagine what it would be like to feel his mouth against my lips and other places.

I tried my damnedest to not gawk, but found it increasingly difficult when he walked around in nothing but his low cut sweats, which happened to be a staple of his wardrobe. One day I unwillingly took a roundhouse kick to the head in the training room because I had grown distracted by the way his muscles tensed as he sparred with Steve. That had gotten his attention some how and he had gone out of his way to make me as uncomfortable as possible. Sitting closer to me on the couch, brushing his leg against mine under the dinner table; the torment seemed endless, but he never made a move. Each time he caught my eyes on him the corner of his mouth would twitch into a smirk.

The idea of him going to the party made me both excited and nervous as I readied myself. I changed at least twenty times before becoming frustrated and stomping down the hallway to Wanda’s apartment in search of something to wear. I always had a little anxiety when I went to her for fashion advice and tonight was no different as I walked out of her apartment wearing a very short black sequin dress with black pumps.

“You look amazing!” She assured me as we both walked down the hall towards the common room where we were going to meet the others. I shot her a side-eye without speaking, and she blushed. “You wore your good lingerie, right?” She whispered as we neared the room.

“Oh for Christ’s sake Wanda!” I exclaimed, a little too loud, as we neared the group effectively drawing attention to myself.

“Damn Y/N!” Sam exclaimed as the others looked up, but I was focused on one person’s reaction. Bucky’s eyes looked at me appreciatively for a moment as he bit his bottom lip slightly before turning to say something to Steve.

Well maybe I didn’t look as good as Sam thought after all.

We arrived at the party when it was already in full swing. Bucky had effectively ignored me the entire ride which had soured my mood. I had only come because he had seemed genuinely interested in if I was going. Upon entering the venue, I immediately grabbed Wanda’s hand and we made a beeline straight to the bar.

“The only way I’m getting through tonight is if I’m hammered,” I muttered to her miserably as the bartender slid us both two shot glasses of tequila.

“Oh come on Y/N! There are a lot of cute guys here – let’s just have fun tonight. No regrets!” she exclaimed before we threw back our shots and ordered more.

Fifteen minutes, and several shots of tequila later I had put Bucky to the back of my mind. Wanda was right – after a month of wallowing I deserved to have some fun. I scanned through the crowd in search of a cute guy to dance with before locking eyes with Bucky, who had a girl hanging all over him. I grimaced – I guess I had misread all the subtle remarks he had made towards me. Worse yet, maybe he had just been fucking with me as some sort of joke. Anger sparked in me as I took my eyes from him and continued to scan the room— finally finding a man across the dance floor who smiled warmly at me before making his way towards the bar.

“Care to dance?” he asked casually as he offered me his hand.

I smiled at him politely. “I would love to,” I answered as I placed my hand in his and turned my eyes slightly towards Bucky’s direction. He was watching me like a hawk and didn’t seem very pleased. Serves you damn well – I thought to myself as I followed the man to the dance floor.

As the man and I danced my worries began to melt away. I was actually having fun for the first time in a long time. I felt free as I enjoyed the company of my partner while our bodies swayed together with the music. As he spun me out from him I felt cool metal wrap around my wrist – I turned in surprise to come face to face with Bucky. “Care if I cut in?” he asked cockily as he pulled me into him. After taking in the sight of Bucky the man shrugged in defeat, not wishing to anger the super soldier.

“What the hell do you think you’re doing?” I hissed between my teeth as I tried to push him away.

He chuckled at my feeble attempt and pulled me closer. “I’m dancing with you,” he responded – a hint of humor in his eyes.

“Well I don’t want to dance with you,” I spat as I pushed him away again. This time his arms fell from me as the trace of humor in his face vanished. I turned on my heel, determined to get far away from him, and fled towards the exit as I internally chastised myself for coming to the stupid party in the first place.

Once I was outside I leaned my back onto the brick building as I sighed heavily. I would have to try to get a cab which would be next to impossible on Valentine’s Day. I huffed as I pushed off the brick wall and walked to the edge of the sidewalk – luckily just in time for a cab to pull up to drop off more party goers. I gratefully slid into the vacant backseat and was about to give the driver the address before the back door opened and Bucky slid in beside me.

“Oh no you don’t. This is my cab!” I exclaimed in exasperation. “Find your own cab!”

“Doll – do you know how hard it is to find a cab in this city on Valentine’s Day?” he responded with a laugh.

“Get out now!” I demanded.

“Or what? You’ll walk all the way to Stark Tower?” he laughed as I scoffed. “How about this,” he added as he raised his hands in defense. “I’ll pay since you spent all your money on tequila.” I blushed at this. In my anger I had forgotten that I had absolutely no money with me.

“Fine,” I muttered as Bucky joyfully gave the address to the driver.

We rode in silence for part of the journey as I fumed beside Bucky. Now that I was alone with him I was finding it increasingly difficult to be angry at him. His proximity to me was enough to make my heart race.

He shifted beside me causing me to turn to face him. “I’m sorry, doll,” he muttered sheepishly. There was no humor in his eyes at this – he was genuinely apologizing. “I saw you with him and I…. well I got jealous,” he shrugged apologetically.

I could feel my face flush at this revelation as my heart threatened to actually jump out of my chest. “If… if you were jealous why didn’t you…” I began to ask but he cut me off.

“Look – I don’t know how to do this… I mean… I’ve um not been chaste since I’ve been with the Avengers… but I don’t know how to…” he broke off flustered. He was usually so well composed that his behavior was throwing me off.

“How to what, Buck?” I asked as my hand grazed over his.

“How to be with someone for more than a night,” he muttered embarrassed as he adverted his gaze from me.

“Well step one is to not be a giant ass,” I retorted which made him genuinely laugh as he turned to look at me again.

“Forgive me please?” he asked.

“I’m sure you can make it up to me,” I whispered as I grazed my fingers playfully over his. His breath hitched slightly at the contact. His eyes darkened with lust as his fingers grasped mine.

“How can I make it up to you?” he whispered – his hot breath tickling my skin as he nuzzled his face into the crook of my neck. It was enough to remind me of the growing feeling that was pooling between my legs. I knew exactly how he could make it up to me. Suddenly the cab just wasn’t moving fast enough for me.

I was flustered at his advances. He chuckled into my ear as he nibbled on the lobe – causing me to yip in surprise. He pulled away only slightly when the cab driver checked on us in his rearview mirror. As soon as the driver’s attention was back on the road Bucky resumed his assault on all my senses. His metal hand gently pushed my legs apart as his fingers travelled lazily up my inner thigh. They made their slow ascent tantalizing close to the underwear that I knew were already soaked through. I instinctively bucked my hips slightly – aching for some sort of contact with him. He chuckled lightly as he pushed me back into the seat. “Patience,” he whispered as his fingers played with my panty line. I didn’t want patience – all I wanted was for him to be inside of me – I wanted to know how it felt for him to fill me with himself.

“Bucky,” I whimpered so lowly that only he could hear.

“Shhh,” he cooed as he touched me through the lace of my underwear. “Mmm so wet for me.” I nodded my head enthusiastically as I bucked my hips in desperation again. Hoping for more. Bucky clicked his tongue at me as he pushed my hips sternly back into the seat. “Dancing with another man to make me jealous,” he chuckled as he began peppering my neck with kisses. “What am I going to do with you?” he whispered tantalizingly into my ear. It was less like a question and more like a promise. Suddenly his hand quickly pushed my underwear to the side as he slid a metal finger into me – eliciting a groan that I tried to cover with a cough. “Mmm,” he sighed as he pulled his finger out and gave me a wink before casually sticking it  into his mouth and licking it clean. “Just how I imagined,” he chuckled as the cab pulled to the curb next to Stark Tower. I would have lost it then and there if it hadn’t been for the cabbie speaking to Bucky as he handed him his change.

The walk into the building was a blur. I only had a singular desire – to get Bucky back to my room and fuck the life out of him. As the elevator doors closed it was my turn to take him by surprise. I crashed my body into his – pressing myself to him tightly as my lips found his in a clash of tongues, and teeth. He moaned lightly as he pressed his hips into me – allowing me to feel the full extent of his erection. I broke away from him when the ding of the elevator alerted us that we had made it to our floor. I hastily grabbed his hand and began dragging him to my room. He stopped me short at his door. “How about we go to my room?” he whispered to me.

“Sure,” I shrugged. I didn’t care where we were as long as we were horizontal soon.  When he opened the door I gasped – his bedroom was covered in lit candles and flowers. He pulled me in with a grin on his face – closing the door quickly behind me. “Is this for… me?” I asked amazed.

“I wasn’t expecting quite what happened tonight but I wanted to do something special for you. You deserve…” he was cut off by my lips crashing against his. He chuckled into our kiss as he guided me to the bed. I laid myself on it as he positioned himself over me and gently lowered himself so I could feel the weight of his body. The feeling of his erection pushing against my thigh made me moan as I ground my hips into his. “What do you want?” he whispered lightly as he broke away from our kiss.

“You,” I whispered as my hands slid under his shirt – feeling the grooves of his muscular frame.

“Your wish is my command, doll,” he chuckled as his hands lifted up my dress slowly. Once he had managed to completely remove it he pulled back with a smirk on his face.

“What?” I asked flustered and embarrassed.

“You’re just so fucking beautiful,” he whispered as his hands caressed every inch of my body. “You deserve to be worshiped,” he murmured as he peppered my breasts with kisses while his hands pulled away my underwear. I bucked my hips again at the contact of his cold metal fingers with my clit. “Do you like that?” he mumbled as he inserted a finger into me slowly pulling it in and out as his thumb rubbed in circular motions, causing my wetness to grow. My breath hitched as he quickened the pace of his finger – adding another for good measure. I could feel my walls tightening as my body built up for a spectacular orgasm. Bucky could sense it too. He quickly pulled his fingers from me and dipped his head between my legs bringing his mouth to me and licking up my wetness. I twisted my fingers into his hair as I bucked my hips one last time – driving his tongue deeper into me. That’s all it took. I spilled over onto his face as he hummed appreciatively.

He pulled away wiping his face on the back of his hand as he quickly removed his pants finally releasing what I had been wanting to see. I gasped at the sight of him as he turned to me with a smirk before resuming his place on top of me. “You’re sure?” he whispered as he looked at me.

“God yes. Bucky, fuck me,” I pleaded as I spread my legs to accommodate him. He lined himself up and thrust himself into me quickly. I groaned in pleasure – being full of him felt as good as I had imagined. I began to roll my hips as he glided in and out of me.

“God, you feel amazing,” he groaned as he unclasped my bra and played with my breasts. I shifted so he could enter deeper and he moaned with appreciation. “What do you want doll?” he asked – his eyes clouded with desire.

“I want you to have your way with me,” I responded with a smirk as I rolled my hips – eliciting another moan. That’s all he needed. Bucky began thrusting into me with an intensity that caused the tightness to coil in my muscles again.

“I want you to cum for me again,” he whispered into my ear as he pounded into me faster and deeper. I was so close I couldn’t waste time responding.

I tipped over the edge again as I called out his name. He moaned my name as my orgasm caused his own climax. He froze for a moment before pulling himself out and laying on his back. He gathered me into his arms and we laid in silence as our breathing slowed.

“I’ve been wanting to do that for a long time,” he finally admitted with a grin.

“Me too,” I responded as I snuggled my head shyly into his neck.

“Well we probably should do it more often,” he chuckled.

“I agree, but maybe tonight we can snuggle and watch Netflix?” I asked tentatively. My body wasn’t ready for round two.

Bucky chuckled as his fingers drew patterns up and down my back. “Whatever you want, doll. As long as I get to spend time with you…. I’m okay with anything.”

“Careful what you say Sargent Barnes,” I giggled as I squeezed him tightly.

He chuckled at my warning. “Happy Valentine’s Day, Y/N,” he whispered into my hair as I drifted to sleep.

WTF Is Going On In This Fandom: Camren, Epic, Jauregui Family, Social Media Rant/Theory

If you peeped the reblog I just posted from @backstage-meg this won’t seem like it’s coming out of left field. I doubt they (5H, Mila, their families and friends etc) are at liberty to truly discuss what has gone on behind the scenes so we are left with inuendo and scarce clues to try and piece together some semblance of an explanation for what has gone on over the last few months/year…I’ve learned not to trust anything that is being blatantly thrown in our faces. Hence Laucy, 5H drama between the girls, the families shading each other on sm, all this epic/syco label BS. None of them are saying or doing what hasn’t been scripted for them to say or do. Now of course I don’t mean literally scripted but more like dictated instead. I do believe all the girls have private AND public sm ACCTS…except for their twitters because there is really no point. But I wouldn’t be surprised if they have secondary Instagram accounts📱💻. And we already know they all have private snapchats. We are focused on the wrong things. Mike liking and unliking a tweet, Lauren following and unfollowing Mila, Candece Campbell’s radom tweet about Instagram messing up her followers at the same time Lauren was having her “follow debacle” happen, was like a whistle blow to pay attention to the details. Laucy was brought out and shoved down our throats while Camren has been denied and destroyed by mgmt, the label and even the girls themselves. Dinah’s last message to Mila “no matter what they say. No matter what you do…” 👀🐸🍵Come on Dinah was warning us just days before that shit was about to hit the fan and that we should know better than to just believe what we hear and see in the media. It’s all sensationalized. Mila saying she hasn’t seen or interacted with the girls since leaving (even though they all admitted to lying during interviews) was hard for me to believe, even with the current narrative💅. You don’t just sever nearly 5 years of a bond. No matter how tight things got in the end. It was always designed for mila to be the break out star💃 (or at least the first one) hell Demi called it years ago while they were still on x-factor. Now I know people and situations can change. Egos can grow and resentment can start to fester. But I also know enough to know that egos don’t destroy groups bad business practices do. All artists have major egos although some have learned to tame the beast. Your ego doesn’t make you a bad person your actions do. And honestly if the original members of Destiny’s Child can get over being robbed financially💲💰💵 and rekindling their relationship with Beyonce and Michelle and New Edition can welcome Bobby Brown’s crazy ass back in the fold and the Spice Girls can get over themselves to deliver a crazy performance at the 2012 Olympics then hell anything is possible.😮🙌 And I doubt Mila missing meetings would be the final straw to break the camel’s back. She received her gold plaque the same night she left/was kicked out of the group. And we all know there is no such thing as a coincidence when Camren is involved. I know this is long winded. But I had to speak my peace as I watch this fandom panic yet again over this staged bullshit. You’d think by now we could smell it before we see it…😂😂 I said all that to say, trust and believe all contingency plans have been put in place and if you hear the girls saying something especially in a well known publication or media platform📺🎤💻📰 understand those words passed through a dozen mouths before it left theirs. And anyone affiliated with them can’t take a shit around the girls without getting permission to use the toilet and signing their name on the tissue paper. And those who can’t be controlled will be removed. Probably why the laucy interactions have dialed down. Oh and don’t forget it was just in December that Lucy liked Camila’s tweet about the BT video and “bringing the characters to life” and then a couple days later she randomly unfollowed her ….really😒? And the Jauregui siblings pretty much unfollowed around the time she left too…smh. In the right light🔦 it looks like the story makes sense and is on the up and up. But start pulling at the loose strands and details of this narrative and you’ll see how quickly all this shit unravels. And on that note I’m done! This was just a flow of thoughts …So it may make sense. It may make me look crazy, but I’m willing to risk the credibility of my sanity for the sake of voicing my opinion and getting these thoughts down on paper. 📝Speaking figuratively of course. Love you Munchkins.😘

I owe the life I live today to fandom. It’s a bit complicated.

I am an artist in her late twenties, working as an illustrator full time (meaning somehow I actually convinced people to pay me for drawing all day). I own a decently sized flat in a big city and while I struggle with mental health issues, I am coping and getting better. I get to see the world and work with international teams and have close friends I can count on. And that’s all because I was brave enough as a teen to post some fanwork on the internet.

Let me explain myself some more.

Only If You Say So - Part One

Fandom: Gotham

Pairing: Jerome Valeska x Reader

Note: So, I realized that this fic is taking too bloody long and I decided to split it in two. This first part doesn’t have any smut like I know you’re all hanging out for, but it’s gonna set the mood so-to-speak.

Warnings: Slightly graphic?

You were just sitting around eating takeout when your home phone rang. It was odd since hardly anyone ever called the house. Usually it was reserved for random parental calls that you only ever received more than once or twice a month. With a roll of your eyes, you paused the film you were watching and went to grab it, figuring you were due for some hour long lecture.

“Hello?” You answered.

“(Y/N)?”

Perking up at the voice on the other line, your brows shot up in excitement - a reaction that would never accompany a call from your parents.

“Jimmy!” You greeted, “What can I do for - “

“Turn on the TV.”

Your smile fell into an expression of concern. Something was wrong. You’d known Jim Gordon long enough to recognize the tone of worry in his voice without even being in the same room as him.

“What channel?” You asked, rushing back into the living room and picking up the remote.

“Any.” Is all he said.

The film switched off and suddenly the familiar face of the news lady filled your television screen. “As has been reported, Channel Nine’s van was stolen this evening,” she said, “We are now getting video from the thief which we will play in hope it leads to his apprehension.”

Suddenly the screen fuzzed out and static came from the speakers before a raspy voice called out;

“Testing, testing…”

Your eyes narrowed as the camera began to focus. “Jim, what’s going on?”

“Am I live?”

In a state of shock and dread, your body completely froze in front of your television screen, your hand clutched tightly around the remote as you stared into the familiar eyes of the ginger lunatic that you had known to be dead. Your breath caught in your throat and you readjusted your grip on your phone.

“Am I on air?”

“It’s Jerome.”

Can you hear me?”

At Jim’s confirmation, your legs buckled and you stumbled backwards into the couch behind you. The room seemed to spin and you drop the remote as you collapsed. Your breathing becomes more rapid, more shallow as you try to make sense of the situation. “How?”

“Dwight, he succeeded in bringing him back -”

“ - He can’t be back, Jim. I was there. He died. He just can’t - ”

“ - Ah, screw it. Let’s do it.”

You stared blankly at your TV, your body quivering in fright. Had it not been for his red hair and the way he danced around like the showman he was, you might not have been able to recognize him. His voice was scratchy and deeper than you remembered, and his face - oh Lord, his face.

Everyone had heard about the recent uprising of facepainted nutjobs running a muck in the streets of Gotham, and you knew that they seemed to be following in the footsteps of Jerome Valeska. You also knew that a man by the name of Dwight was among them; a crazed experimentalist whom had been involved in the resurrection of Fish Mooney, Theo Galavan and many more of Gotham’s recently deceased criminals. Even you hadn’t missed the broadcasted hijacking of Channel Nine earlier that day. You had been horrified to find that Dwight had cut off Jerome’s face and had worn it as a mask, but it seemed that Jerome was not ready to part with it just yet.

His face had been neatly stapled back on; the skin stretched as to fit over his mouth and eyes without flapping about. It looked like something out of a horror movie, and you weren’t entirely certain you weren’t living one.

“Some of you may know I died.” Jerome gave a disappointed little smile. “Ah oh. And take it from me; death is dull. But coming back, that is something. Leave it to dying to give you a whole new perspective on life and I’d like to share that with you.”

“Are you still there, (Y/N)?”

You watched as Jerome turned away from the camera and approached a man that had been tied up to several explosives and barrels of flammable liquids behind him. From what you could see it was Dwight. “Yeah,” You replied, “Yeah, I’m still here.”

Jerome wiped out a lighter from behind Dwight’s ear and twirled around to the camera, giving a little bow. “Tonight, Gotham, in the darkness there are no rules. So, tonight do what you want - kill who you want - ”

He suddenly started to choke, cutting himself off from his speech to clear his throat.

“ - and when morning comes,” he then set the flame to the fuse, “you too shall be…reborn.”

Then the cackle that had been haunting you since the day you had first met him echoed from the television speakers.

“Where is he, Jim?” You hissed into the phone. “Where?!”

“Power plant across the river from HQ,” said Jim, “We’re getting a helicopter now. Where are you?”

“At home,” you told him, your voice cracking. “Directly across the river from HQ. Jim, you aren’t going to make it. Jerome’s - ”

“Jesus, (Y/N),” Jim growled. “You’ve got to get out of there. He’ll be coming for - ”

Suddenly, like an earthquake, the ground beneath your feet shook and all power went out.

“Jim?” You tried. “Jim!”

Looking down at your phone, you saw that all bars had gone, including wifi. The TV died with a faint click and all lights within the house had turned off. Dropping your phone beside the remote, you bolted up and off the couch, quickly making your way to the front door. You knew there was no point in leaving; the power plant was only a few streets away, meaning Jerome could arrive in a matter of minutes, not long enough for you to escape down the street. Locking the door, you shoved the hallway cabinet in front, hoping to give yourself a little bit more time to find a decent hiding spot.

As you ran through the house, you finally realized the huge design flaw. There were absolutely no good places to hide. The closet and under the bed might have been why too cliche for this situation, but they were your only options. Looking between them, your mind whirled. Maybe there was still time…

You were wrong.

The first knock on your door was light and playful. The next was loud and demanding. Without a second thought you bolted to your closet, pulling the door open and shoving yourself inside to the very back, behind the coats, robes and dresses. Your heart raced in fear as you pressed your back against the wall, the dust tickling your nose as you disturbed your winter clothes that hadn’t been worn in what felt like ages. The throb of your own pulse and your uneven breath were the only sounds you could hear; the low buzz of electricity having been switched off by the explosion of the Power Plant.

You could hear the rattle of the door handle. Your heart jumped in your throat and your eyes squeezed shut in anticipation. Then it stopped.

Then you heard the breaking of one of your windows.

“Honey, I’m home!”

I grumbled sleepily as I turned over in the bed. Another morning – another terrible hangover. It had been a few days since my phone conversation, or lack thereof, with Bucky – and he had been silent ever since. Today was the last day Nicole could stay with me as she needed to get back to her life, her family, and her job. She begged me to go with her, but I had politely declined. I needed to find my footing again and figure out what my next step was. There was no way I could go back to Stark Tower – not after everything that had happened. I sighed to myself as I stared at the ceiling. I could hear talking in the other room which I tried desperately to ignore until a knock at the bedroom door caused me to angrily huff, “What?”

“You have a visitor,” Nicole called through the door. My heart jumped as I shot up in the bed just in time for her to open the door. “Captain America?” Nicole asked jokingly.

“My friends call me Steve,” he responded as he looked at her with a grin before turning his gaze to me – the grin slipping from his face.

I smiled weakly at him – the sudden spike of adrenaline mixed with my hangover was making the room tilt in an odd way. “Hey Stevie,” I muttered before laying back down in the bed and ignoring the presence of both Steve and Nicole.

“And she’s just been like this?” Steve asked in the other room. It was a few hours later and I was fully awake, but unwilling to leave the room out of pure embarrassment.

“For days now. I’m honestly not sure when she’s been sober during the last week,” Nicole replied. I scoffed. That was a little overdramatic. I drank every night to help myself sleep – I had just always happened to drink enough to feel horrible the next day. “What about your friend? This Bucky?”

“He’s absolutely miserable. Shuts himself away from everyone else. Snaps every time someone tries to talk with him. He hasn’t been like this in a long time,” by the sound of his voice Steve was certainly concerned. I was too – I couldn’t help but feel a sudden urge to jump in my car and go to him.

“Do you know exactly what happened?” Nicole asked pointblank. I could always count on her to cut through the shit and get to the bottom of the problem.

“He won’t talk to me about it. He just tells me it’s his fault and that he’s miserable without her. Has… has Y/N said anything?” he asked uncertainly.

“It’s probably best that you talk to her about it… So you um… don’t really mind staying with her?” I bolted upright at this. I didn’t need to be passed off like a child – I was capable of taking care of myself. I pushed off the bed and stomped into the living room. As I opened my bedroom door Nicole was picking up her bags and already turned towards the front door. I stopped and awkwardly cleared my throat. I felt all the anger leave me in a rush; I really didn’t want her to go. She turned to face me and gave me a smile before dropping her bags and taking the remaining steps to close the distance between us before giving me a bone crushing hug.  “Take care of yourself, sis. I can try to come back soon,” she added nervously as she pulled away and looked at me.

“I’ll be fine,” I answered meekly.

“You always are,” she responded as she turned and grabbed her bags before making her way to the door.

An awkward silence fell on the room once she had left. Steve turned to look at me – his eyes already asking the questions that had been running on repeat in his brain. “So…”

“Are you hungry?” I interrupted. I knew I was in for an interrogation, but I wasn’t about to let it start without getting some food.

Steve shook his head in exasperation. “If I say no will it help me get the answers any faster?” He couldn’t help but let a grin tug at the corners of his lips.

“Nope,” I grinned back at him.

“Okay fine – you lead and I’ll follow,” he answered reluctantly.

“Why did you run off?” Steve asked as he set the plastic menu on the table. I sighed heavily –so it was straight to business then. I had hoped that maybe we could get through dinner with pleasant conversation and hold off on the heavier conversations until later. I motioned for the waitress to take our orders. Once she was gone I picked up my untouched glass of whiskey and swirled the ice inside it lazily.

I peeked up to see Steve staring at my intently. He wasn’t going to let me off the hook. “It… it doesn’t matter Steve,” I tried my best to be nonchalant but my attempt landed flat.

He scoffed – obviously annoyed. “It does matter and you damn well know it,” he replied impatiently.

I rolled my eyes at the severity of his tone before meeting his eyes and realizing the hurt that laid behind them. “I’m… I’m sorry Steve,” I muttered into my glass. “Everything just got so messed up.”

“Y/N, what happened? I can’t help fix it… if you won’t tell me,” he answered earnestly as he reached across the table and placed his hand reassuringly on mine.

I swallowed hard – it would be harder to tell Steve than it had been Nicole. I looked at him with a sad smile on my face. “I… I love him Steve,” I whispered sadly as I shrugged my shoulders.

This was obviously not what Steve was anticipating. His eyebrows shot up before he regained composure and a soft smile formed on his face. “Well that’s not so bad is it?” He asked shyly.

“Did you know he was sleeping with Nat?” I asked absentmindedly. Steve’s jaw dropped open – a slew of half-words falling out. “She said it stopped around the time he started spending time with me,” I added thickly.

“Oh that fucking idiot,” Steve whispered under his breath as he ran his hands through his hair. It was my turn to be shocked – Steve never swore.

“Steve?” I asked.

“He wouldn’t tell me… wouldn’t tell me why you had left or what was wrong.” He was shaking his head angrily as he spoke. “I didn’t know about Nat – I had no idea, but I did have an idea about you.”

“What do you mean?” I asked, my curiosity had peaked over my misery.

“He started to change about five months ago. At first it was subtle, but it started to become much more noticeable. No one else noticed, because no one else knows Bucky as well as I do. I’d catch him daydreaming… He’d smile for no reason… He was just lighter… happier. For the first time since the War I had that young kid from Brooklyn back as my best friend,” he explained as he shrugged sadly. I suddenly became acutely aware of the indention my teeth were making in the side of my cheek. Even as he spoke I felt the butterflies that I always had when I was around Bucky. When we were together there was an undercurrent of excitement like some sort of spastic electricity that I could never explain or reason out – even to myself.

“I miss him,” I answered quietly as I fidgeted with the food that the waitress had set in front of us.

“He misses you. Listen – I’m not telling you to forgive him. Hell, I still plan on getting the full story from him, but come home. Please?” Steve reached across the table once again to squeeze one of my anxious hands. I looked up and lost my resolve in his sad blue eyes. There was no way I could say no.

“I can’t get hurt again Steve. I promised myself.”

“I know – I promise I won’t let it happen, okay?” He smiled sweetly at me as I nodded. Of course Steve was right – I needed to hear Bucky out.

“Are you sure you don’t want to head back today?” Steve asked as he raised an eyebrow curiously.

I shook my head as I continued looking forward. “I agreed that I will hear him out, but I don’t want to go back today. The drive is too long and I need to pack.”

Steve rolled his eyes playfully. His mood had definitely improved since I had agreed to go back to Stark Tower, but he was going to have to wait one more day. I wasn’t mentally or emotionally prepared today after his surprised visit. “So what do you want to do today?” he asked as he spun on his heel and looked at me.

I shrugged. “We could go to the beach for awhile. The weather’s pretty nice. The ocean here is just so much better than what we have in New York,” I responded.

“Deal,” he responded as we continued our journey back to the cottage.

“I know you’re mad at Buck for not telling you everything, but maybe you should meet him halfway?” Steve said as he stared at me from across the little fire we had built in front of the cottage. The sun was starting to set as the evening waned into night. “I just mean,” he added as he raised both of his hands in response to the look I had given him. “Did he know you had a sister?”

I sat quietly as I diverted me eyes from him. He had a point. “No,” I mumbled back.

“And I’m assuming you didn’t tell him for a good reason?” he added.

“Yeah,” I responded as I chewed on my bottom lip. I had tried to keep my life before the Avengers separate from my new life. It was relatively easy. My parents had both died so it had just left Nicole, who had agreed with my reasoning for the safety of her own family.

“Well I think I’m going to head to bed since it will be an early morning,” Steve announced – breaking the awkward silence that had fallen between us.

“Yeah good idea. I think I will too,” I mumbled. We put the fire out and headed wearily to our rooms. I feared that it wouldn’t matter how tired I was – the amount of nervous energy running through my mind and body was sure to keep me awake.

I blinked wearily – trying to wake myself up as we weaved in and out of cars on the freeway. Just as I had predicted I didn’t sleep the night before, making for a very long drive back to New York City. We had had several close calls from my less than stellar reflexes that left Steve grumbling in the passenger seat.

“Y/N! Stop!” Steve yelled as I slammed on my brakes and veered off the road. Traffic had come to a sudden halt and my internal monologue had prevented me from noticing. I put the car in park and shakily placed my head on the steering wheel with a groan. “Okay – that’s it. I’m driving,” Steve announced sternly before unbuckling himself and exiting the car. I sighed in frustration. There was no reason to argue with him after I had almost killed both of us.

“Fine,” I muttered as he opened the door and I unbuckled myself before exiting the car. I stomped to the other side of the car and threw myself into the seat – slamming the door behind me.

“You done?” Steve asked through a chuckle.

“Yes,” I muttered as I shed my hoodie before buckling my seatbelt. I wadded the hoodie into a makeshift pillow and placed it between my head and the window before closing my eyes. Maybe I was tired enough to rest for awhile. “Steve?” I asked as I shifted uncomfortably in my seat.

“Yeah?” he responded as we pulled back onto the highway. We had about four hours left before we reached the city and there had been something I had been meaning to ask Steve.

“Something has… er… well I’ve been wondering something ever since you showed up…. Why did you come instead of Bucky?” I didn’t immediately receive an answer from him so I peeked through my lashes to see him clutching my steering wheel with white knuckles. I had the sudden fear that he would snap it in two.

He chuckled nervously. “Well… I thought I was less likely to get punched than he would,” he responded before falling into an awkward silence.

“And?” I asked as I lifted my head and turned to look at him.

“Well Bucky doesn’t exactly know that I am with you,” he responded nervously as he turned to give me a wink.

Death Will Come As Sure As the Night [KHR/SH]

A.N - For the Fandom Bingo spot 3-4; lygophobia. Mild crossover with Silent Hill.

0-0-0-0-0-0

At fourteen, Sawada Tsunayoshi should be the past the point where he fears the darkness. He shouldn’t need to keep the light on at all hours, even when he sleeps. He shouldn’t have lights in his bedroom and beneath his bed and in all the little nooks and crannies of the house.

Reborn kind of wants to laugh when he first meets Tsuna. Before he discovers what drives that fear of the dark. It’s so childish, so stupid to him then. That first night, he deactivates all the lights, and smirks when the room goes dark.

But then in the next moment he’s covering his ears in shock as Tsuna screams and howls at a level he’d thought previously unreachable. Reborn lunges for the bedroom light, and turns it on. He’s shocked to find deep, furrowed gouges on Tsuna’s arms and face, like claws. He stares, and then looks at Tsuna’s fingernails, which are clean.

Tsuna sobs, wrapping himself up in a ball and rocking back and forth. Nana comes rushing into the room with a lantern and a crowbar of all things in her hand, and looks wildly around. She goes to the closet, checks under the bed, and then whirls on Reborn, looking far more furious than he’s ever thought her capable of. “Did you do it? Did you turn off the lights?”

“Yes,” Reborn says. He’s still looking at Tsuna as he says it. He’s not sure what to make of what he’s seeing. Those marks are claw-marks, far bigger than any wild animal he’s seen. Tsuna couldn’t have done that with a knife or any weapon. And even if he could, why wait for Reborn to turn off the light to do it? There’s just no way, no explanation. But then, what did cause those marks? “I think…I’m missing quite a few things.”

He doesn’t know it, but saying that is the only thing that saves his life that night. Nana Sawada has no problems burying him for harming her child. She’d thought it malicious until he spoke those words. She sighs harshly through her nose, and helps bandage Tsuna up. Reborn watches as she tucks Tsuna into bed, and then beckons him downstairs.

And once there, she tells him about Silent Hill, and how Tsuna spent the last three years of his life in that hellhole. He went in at eleven - even now she doesn’t know why, because Silent Hill draws in those looking for something, either to punish or help, and what does an eleven-year-old go looking for that would draw such a place’s attention? - and came out at fourteen, barely four months before Reborn showed up.

She tells him about the monsters, about the constant threat of death, how the darkness drew the monsters, and Tsuna always kept a crowbar by his side for the longest time. And she tells him about how, two months ago she started believing too, because the power went out in their whole house during a storm, and for the next several hours she had to listen and watch by lantern light as Tsuna fought and killed creatures that were beyond description.

“The darkness is their doorway,” she tells him, the coffee she placed before him long since gone cold. “Even the tiniest bit is enough. So we keep the house bright, and we… we stay inside at night. We don’t leave windows or doors open. Vents either. If you ever go out at night, always take light with you. And a crowbar, or some kind of weapon. Guns, swords, it doesn’t matter what. They’ll all work.”

It’s a tall tale, to be sure, but Reborn finds himself believing it easily enough. Not just because of Tsuna’s injuries, but because of the near-visceral reaction both mother and son have had.

“I won’t do it again,” he tells her. And then, “I’ll make sure he’s back well before the dark comes, and if… if for any reason we do have to go out at night, I’ll make sure we’ve got lights.”

She nods. It’s really all Reborn can promise at that time.

And then, after Mukuro and the Varia, after Byakuran and the Vindice, after so much time spent together with Tsuna, he finally discovers Silent Hill.

Fog rolls into Namimori one morning, and right off the bat, Reborn knows its not right. It’s unnaturally thick given the time of year, and there’s so much of it, it almost looks like it doesn’t end. Tsuna’s sleeping soundly, but something in Reborn’s gut is urging him to wake the boy, so he does. Tsuna wakes up almost immediately, rubbing his eyes. “Reborn?”

“Fog,” Reborn says, and he watches as Tsuna freezes, and transitions from calm awakening to panicked horror. He lunges for the window, and stares out. His face goes pale, and drawn, and his eyes gain a haunted look.

“No,” he whispers. His legs shake, and he drops down onto the carpet. “Please god no, not again…”

“Tsuna? Tsuna, talk to me, what’s going on?” Reborn’s by his side in an instant. He notices the door to their room is open, and hastily goes to shut it and lock it. There’s a rising sense of alarm creeping up his spine. Something is wrong.

“We’re here, Reborn,” Tsuna tells him, and its no longer a broken voice he speaks it. It’s an eerily calm one, the same as when he goes into Hyper mode. Driven. Focused. “We’re in Silent Hill. Specifically, we’re in the Fog World.”

Reborn feels his stomach drop. “How?”

Tsuna shakes his head. “I don’t know. I don’t know if its us, or if its calling someone else, but its here now and we need to find a way out.”

“Okay. You’ve been here before.”

Tsuna nods, and goes rooting under his bed. He emerges with a crowbar, two pistols, and what looks like a handheld torch and a water bottle of gasoline. “I don’t know the way. It’s never the same - the place changes depending on who’s here.”

“Do you think… is it me?” Reborn asks. He almost doesn’t want to.

Tsuna looks at him, and it feels like he’s being weighed. “I don’t think it is. But who knows. For now though, we need to–”

BANG, BANG, BANG!

Reborn jerks around. That’s the sound of gunfire in the distance.

“Huh,” Tsuna says, tossing him one of the two guns. “Looks like we’re not the only ones here.”

“What about Mama?” Reborn asks. Tsuna shakes his head.

“She’s safe, back in the Real World. She’ll know why we’re gone, don’t worry about it.”

That’s good, at least. “Tell me what to do, Tsuna.”

Tsuna taps his shoulder. “Get up here, and stay close. Keep your guard up. We’re going to go out, and see if we can do a quick scavenging run, and then see if we can find out who’s called the fog in. Silent Hill proper is in Maine, but if you travel through the Worlds long enough, you can end up there. So we’ll have to be careful.”

Reborn tugs his hat down more firmly, and ensures the gun he’s holding is loaded and ready, urging Leon beneath his hat for safety. “Then let’s do this.”

“Same rules apply,” Tsuna murmurs. “We don’t go out after dark, and we stay in well-lit areas. I hope you’re ready, Reborn. Because some of those lit areas, they’re not nice.”

“We’ll make it, Tsuna,” he replies. “I trust your judgement. You do whatever you think is best, and I’ll follow you until the end.”

Tsuna’s smile is faint, but it is there. “Then let’s go.”

And they step out into the fog.

Instead, in the box, you found: an apple watch with all the applications you would need, a digital pen for your tablet, a pair of Google glasses and a pair of keys. One key for your new SUV, one for your new apartment on the highest end building in New York.

Why it doesn’t matter anymore whether the lostspecial’s “revelation” is genuine or if there’s a 4th episode

First thing to say is this: I never post anything, I live in the shadows, and enjoy taking part of TJLC behind the anonymous’ face. I have followed several tumblr account from a long time. I have been part of TJLC since the day lsit created her blog, the day after TSoT. In other words, I have seen my fair share of mindfuckery, of blogs I liked receiving hate but I have never taken an active role in this fandom until now.

Like many TJLCers, I decided to watch TFP having high expectations, knowing for sure I was about to witness something groundbreaking.

Well, I wasn’t wrong. Not really.

First came disappointment: so was everything a farce? A pure publicity stunt? Even the lostspecial website is a lie? Are we that desperate for something to be clever?

And then I was thinking… So what if we are? None of this makes sense anyway. Why shouldn’t we ask for a miracle?

It’ll Be Okay

Fandom: The Chronicles of Narnia

Word count: 1838

Characters: Peter x reader, Susan

Warnings: pregnancy, vomiting, Peter getting nervous

Summary: Requested by @penfullofwordsaheadfullofstories. Peter doesn’t know how to react when he finds out about your pregnancy.

You let your pen drop to your desk triumphantly, just to the side of the letter you’d been writing. Your signature was still shining on the page. You had spent far too long working on that- you weren’t the skilled writer that Susan or Edmund were. Still, it was done now. You could send it later.

It felt good to get to your feet and stretch. Deep orange sunlight tumbled through the window and over your writing desk. You had worked right through the afternoon without realising it.

As if to punctuate the realisation, your stomach gave a disgruntled mutter. You rubbed it absent-mindedly. Dinner wouldn’t be served until Peter and Lucy returned from their ride, and that wouldn’t be for a few hours yet. Perhaps, if you went down to the kitchens, they would have something there that you could eat to keep yourself going.

Sakura Fest 2017

I went to Sakura Fest 2017 in Tokyo today!  It was a really amazing event and has already left both the Japanese and International fandoms buzzing!

Perhaps the biggest and BEST surprise was the reveal of the trailer for the Original Animation DVD coming out with the Special Edition of Volume 3 in September.

You can watch the trailer for the OAD here.

The rest of my rundown is below the cut. :) Most of it was posted on Discord earlier tonight in #ccs-general as well, so if you missed it and are curious, please have a look.  I added in a few extra details as they came back to me.

Jay’s your boyfriend and finds another guy bothering you outside a venue. Slight trigger warning just because the guy is trying to force himself onto her but nothing graphic.

It was almost night time by the time (Y/N) got off her shift at work, she was the last employee to leave the bookstore so she had to make sure everything was locked and secure before leaving.

She arrived home a lot later than usual but she didn’t care, the only thing that matter was that she was finally going home and finally able to sleep on her comfy bed after a long day of customers yelling at each other to keep quiet in the store as if though it were a library.

My first request in a long time! Sorry it is short and a little crappy but I have a lot going on with NaNoWriMo and music stuff. I do love me a bit of Doctor Strange though! Requests and ships are still open for all fandoms I write for though guys

You were sat in the library minding your own business entirely. Wong normally only let you into the masters section seeing as you had been training since you were a very young girl after being orphaned. Then he turned up. The arrogant doctor and for some reason Wong seemed to favour him too.

“Good morning, (y/n). How wonderful to see you studying so early” you groaned quietly as he came in behind you. Yes, he was pompous and arrogant but you couldn’t deny that he was good. He was almost as good as you, almost, and that was the annoying thing. You had been training for years and years and he had been here for a few months. “Silent treatment I see. No surprise there.”

“What is that meant to mean?” You scoffed, he barely spoke to you now unless he wanted something.

“It means I am a little sick and tired of trying to get to know you and being brushed off every single time.” He said with annoyance while fishing books off shelves roughly.

“Oh I am sorry, Doctor, that the man who focuses so much on work to fix himself and in no way has any respect for the actual practice is so uptight and bigheaded.” He slammed the books down on the desk in front of you before taking a seat himself, “I would love to say you’re not annoying, but who am I to lie.”

“I am learning for my reasons as are you. You are the one who is so obsessed with their pride. You’re just jealous.”

“Jealous! Really?“

“Yes.” You finally looked away from the pages and up at him to find he was already looking up, “You are so used to being the top of your class, the best in the sanctuary and I turn up and suddenly you have a bit of competition.”

“I would like to remind you Strange,” you spat, “that I was the one who helped you in the first place. It was me who asked for the ancient one to let you back in, me who help you through your first steps of training, me who gave you all the books and help you needed.”

“Of course I haven’t forgotten!” Stephen raised his voice now, “I haven’t forgotten how you let me in then shut me out either! How you made me think I had a chance with someone as talented as yourself and then the next day turned away” the severeness in his eyes had softened and changed, they now looked sad, “I really thought that the feelings I developed for you were returned and now, you hate me with no reason.”

“How could you have had feelings for me?” the doctor looked confused, “I never got a thanks or even any signs of thankfulness. You were so arrogant and I hated it. I hated how I did actually care so damn much.”

“I didn’t know how to thank you. I may still be bigheaded but I have changed. You changed me.” He stood and moved round the table to you and stood over you for a moment. You couldn’t find the strength in you to stand yourself but you looked up at his towering form above you before he kneeled by your side. “Thank you, (y/n).” He mumbled and stalked off probably to his room alone, again.

You sighed closing your books and leaning on your hands. and rubbing your forehead. You liked him and there was no denying it but the fact he was so angry and frustrated with himself meant he was blind to the real power he held. He had certainly changed, you noticed that he was calmer and smarter now - less careless and you knew that in no time at all he would be a master but that didn’t really matter. Not really. He was kind and good to you and you couldn’t deny that you hadn’t been sneaking glances at him in training. You pushed yourself up from the seat and gathered your things, dropping them off in your room before starting off to Stephens.

You heard grunts from the courtyard and sure enough he was out there training alone.

“Strange” you called out but he didn’t answer. “Stephen!” you were more stern and he stopped dead, only his hands shook. You made your way over to him slowly and took his hands in yours, holding them still. “I’m sorry” you mumbled looking down at where his hands became still in yours.

“Why are you apologising? He asked after a moment.

“Because you’re right, and I just didn’t want to see it.” He moved his hands  and linked his fingers with yours, both of you seemed to marvel at how still  his hands had become when he touched you.

“I am always right, (y/n).” he smirked, the arrogant arse was back making you smile.

“You’re a sod, Stephen.”

“I know, I know” he laughed, “hopefully I could be your sod though?” he asked quietly, looking at you expectantly.

“Sure, why not” you giggled before he leaned down quickly and captured your lips in his chapped ones.

Caterwauling

For perhaps the first time in his life, Adrien was truly grateful for his modelling days.

Granted he was a little rusty, his father had let him take a break during his first year of university, so that he could get to grips with his studies- but years of training his face into an unthreatening smile certainly came in handy sometimes.

This was one of those times.

Adrien honestly hadn’t meant to get a cat. His father didn’t even know about it. It had followed him back to his house one night, yowling for food, and Adrien honestly thought the poor thing was lost. Feeling bad for it, Adrien had given him some spare chicken he’d cooked that night and shooed him away after a few ear scratches.

After a few days, the cat was back. Then a couple of nights after that. On and on it went until the cat pretty much lived with him. It had no collar and Adrien looked for an owner for months. But, being the softie he is, once nobody came forward Adrien decided to keep him. As his new friend Nino (a first-year student studying music) had predicted, he’d grown attached to the cat- whom Adrien had called Mew.

Mew was incredibly fluffy, and a kind of smoky black which made him look like a storm cloud with huge green eyes. Though he was perhaps the sweetest cat known to mankind, he had a puffy face and a mouth which made it seem like he was permanently sulking.

Mew was the best kept secret of Adrien’s floor. Being wealthy, he was in the quieter housing- wherein he had his own en-suite, and shared a kitchen with only four other people. He was lucky, he thought, that nobody on their floor suffered from allergies. Mew walked around as he pleased, visited other floors of the student digs, and became well known for cuddling those who were stressed out with their studies. Everybody loved him, and made a collective effort to hide him from any lurking Student Ambassadors who came to inspect.

But Adrien knew it would only be a matter of time before Mew was caught and taken away.

Today, it seemed, that day had finally arrived.

He pulled his face into a neutral smile as the Student Ambassador stood halfway into his room, tapping his foot impatiently. His dark hair was pulled up into a stern ponytail which oddly enough reminded him of Nathalie, his father’s assistant. He hadn’t smiled at Adrien once since he’d opened the door.

“I was in the downstairs apartment last night and I heard meowing- and it didn’t sound like it came from an electronic device.”

There it was. The accusation which was about to rip Mew from Adrien’s arms. As it was, the cat was hiding in Adrien’s bathroom. Adrien had grabbed the unsuspecting fluffball from his bed, where he’d been snoozing, and whispered to him the severity of the situation. It was tantamount to how chill Mew was that he just rolled with it, and fell asleep on top of the closed toilet lid.

“Meowing?” Adrien barely controlled the guilt-ridden squeak in his voice. The Ambassador raised his eyebrow.

“You don’t have a pet here do you?” He asked. His tone suggested he’d already made up his mind about the fact.

Adrien still found it in him to shake his head. Fighting every instinct within him, he kept his eyes straight, refusing to look at the closed bathroom door.

“Then you don’t mind me looking around do-”

Adrien’s heart stopped, the Ambassador’s eyes widened. They both froze.

A girl Adrien had seen hanging out with Nino a few times, but had never been properly introduced to himself, was marching down his hallway meowing and singing at the top of her lungs.

“Memory, all alone in the moonlight, I can smile at the old days, when…”

The girl stopped as soon as she got to Adrien’s door, her bluebell eyes widening in shock and horror to see the Ambassador and Adrien gawking at her.
