Summary: What if Nashi came through the Eclipse gates instead of future Lucy?
“I’m sorry,” Lucy said in utter disbelief of what the stranger in front of her had just said. “Y-You’re who?”
The mysterious woman, clad in a black cloak with silver lining on the edges of the fabric contrasted well with her odd rose colored hair. Her hazel eyes went back and forth between the utterly shocked man and woman. “M-My name is Nashi Dragneel.” The sobs threatening to escape her throat did not help the confidence she tried to keep in her voice. “I am the daughter of Natsu Dragneel and Lucy Heartfilia. I came from the future, seeking my past guilds help.”
“Y-You’re…” Natsu couldn’t even get the words to pass through his throat. Daughter? Him, Lucy? Him and Lucy had a daughter in the future together? So many unanswered questions, but seeing his supposed daughter’s eyes shine with the tears threatening to fall, he put all his questions to the side for a later purpose. “You said you needed our help? With what?”
Natsu and Lucy stared at the pink haired female who seemed to have trouble finding the words to say. She was staring at her feet, a sign that she was thinking. When she slowly brought her head to look at the mages, the tears finally streamed down her cheeks like a faucet.
“The future… dragons… death… Fairy Tail-” Her murmured words went to waste as she collapsed to the ground, making Natsu and Lucy jump into action.
“H-Hey! Are you okay?” Lucy ran over to inspect the poor girl who was out like a light. She placed a hand on her forehead, her temperature felt fine. The pigment of her skin was fine.
“Shes fine Lucy, she’s just low on magic is all.” Hearing Natsu’s words sent relief through her body.At least they determined why she had suddenly collapsed. She was too worried about physical anomalies rather than the possibility of depleted magic, which was just as serious if not more.
Lucy seen the dragon slayer pick the younger female up, placing her unconscious body over his shoulder. “Whenever she wakes up, she’ll answer the question we both want to know.” Natsu said to the blonde, knowing she wanted to know what the whole ‘parent’ story as well. The two began to walk, finally seeing a stairway in the distance, hoping it would lead to another floor of the palace.
It stayed silent for a bit until Lucy decided to speak. “Hey, Natsu?” He grunted, his way of showing the stellar mage that he was indeed listening. “What if… she’s telling the truth… what if, we actually are her parents?”
Natsu considered her for a moment, her expression was one of pure disbelief and concern. He felt the same way though, unbelieving that the girl draped over his shoulder was truly his daughter along with concern for the future that was so horrible she apparently traveled to the past to escape it.
“Even if it is true Luce, not much we can do right?” He flashed her a smile. “We just have to let destiny take its course.”
“You guys!” The two heard someone call out their names, their attention dragged over to the voice. There they saw Wendy, Carla, Loke, Pantherlily and Happy all waiting by the staircase. They seen the take over mage cup her hands over her mouth to amplify her words, “We’ve been waiting here for ages! Are you two-” Her words stopped when they seen the limp body on Natsu’s shoulder.
“W-Whos that?” Wendy asked, rushing over to see if they needed medical attention. When the young dragon slayer see Natsu shake his head, she looked at him confused. Using his free hand, he started to scratch the back of his head.
“We don’t know honestly. Luce and I we’re investigating something, I fell, stumbled upon a gate and there she was.”
“…She claims to be Natsu and I’s daughter.” Lucy repeated for the umpteenth time, but this time out loud. Maybe then it will start sinking in her head that there was a possibility of her and Natsu having a family in the near future.
“Y-Your WHAT!?” Loke screeched out, face matching everyone else’s. The group of five eye’s widened to saucers, mouths slightly hanging open.
“You’re kidding right?” Happy’s tiny voice asked the celestial mage. Seeing her shake her head no made the blue exceeds imagination run rapid. “Woah! So you and Natsu actually-”
“Look guys, lets not get ahead of ourselves here.” Everyone’s attention turned to the fire dragon slayer. “We don’t have any confirmation yet. Lets just wait until she wakes up and tells us whats really going on.” Without another word, he began to walk up the flight of stairs. Everyone wordlessly following behind.
Nashi groaned, her head suffering with a splitting pain. She felt the floor beneath her, it was hard and uncomfortable; but more bearable than the dirt and gravel she’s had to rest of for the past few wakes. Slowly, she opened her eyes, leaving them squinted to get use to the sudden brightness. She blinked, now fully able to see.
She looked all around her, seeing old but new faces. Just seeing all of her old friends again made the tears begin to resurface. She heard a squeak, turning in the direction of the noise she looked to see it was none other than her father.
“Hey, are you ready to talk yet?” His voice was soft and gentle, just like her father in the future. She wasn’t ready, no where near ready to talk about the events that were to come if the past wasn’t altered…
But she had too if she wanted to change the future, to fulfill her parents dying wish.
“The future… isn’t a good place.” The stranger looked up at the group, looking as confident as she could. “Ten thousand dragons attacked Earthland, leaving only ten percent of the population alive at the end of it all.”
She watched as everyone’s eyes grew wide, not fully comprehending the words being said. Dragons attacking? The only dragon known to be alive is Acnologia. Was there another dragons just hiding waiting for the right moment to come and attack?
“W-What? Ten thousand dragons?!?!” Natsu shouted, not wanting to believe the spoken words. “How is that even possible?!”
“It’s all thanks to Eclipse, the gate you and Mom seen me come out of.” Lucy had to bite her tongue to hold the question she desperately wanted to ask the young wizard, needing to know more about the time traveling gate she came out of. “Eclipse was designed for time travel purposes, the main goal to go back in the future and defeat Acnologia before his ungodly slaughter on the dragons.”
The tears she tried so hard to hide fell from her eyes as she continued with her explanation. “Only a Celestial Wizard was able to open the gate with the the twelve zodiac keys. Mom… sacrificed her life trying to get me here.”
Lucy’s hands clasped over her mouth, breaths uneven at the new information. The rest of the group stayed silent. What felt like hours of silence in reality was only a minute before Natsu decided to break the silence.
“So… its true Lucy and I are your parents?”
Nashi looked up at the past versions of her parents, noticing the disbelief they held in their eyes. She didn’t blame them. A strange girl you met by chance telling them she was your daughter? That was a lot to take in.
Wordlessly, Nashi reached into her black cloak with her left arm, pulling out a picture. She flashed it to the two teams, their eyes widening as they inspected it.
It was a picture of Natsu and Lucy, looking much older than they were now. In Lucy’s arms was a small child around the age of four, hugging the blonde. Natsu had his one arm around Lucy’s shoulders and his other around the small pink haired child. The three were all smiles, looking as if they were laughing with one another.
“I… can’t believe it.” Lucy said in a whisper, eyes sneaking over to Natsu who just stared at the picture with wide eyes.
“You two were the greatest parents ever. I… had to watch you two-” Her sobs started to take over again before she could finished. Everyone put two and two together, knowing that Nashi meant she had to watch her own parents die.
“Hey.” Natsu’s voice was so soft if everyone wasn’t in such a close proximity they wouldn’t have heard it. “It’ll be okay.”
Nashi looked up with tear stained eyes, watching as her father walked over to her kneeling on the ground. She felt his large hand palm the back of her head, bringing it closer to his until their foreheads touched.
“Thank you. For protecting our future.”
Nashi’s eyes widened at her father’s words, unable to speak. She just nodded against his forehead, letting the tears come out rapidly.
Lucy smiled at the scene of Natsu being so loving to their future daughter. The sight itself brought tears to her own eyes. On impulse, she began to walk over to her future family, wraping her arms around them.
Natsu took his forehead off his daughters to look at Lucy. The corner of his lips turned into a smile as he wrapped his arms around the two females for a family hug.
The rest of the group just admired from afar at the loving family. The more they looked at the scene, the more they believed the mysterious girls words.
She was Natsu and Lucy’s daughter.
After a few moments of silence, tears, and heartwarming moments, a voice decided to interrupt them.
“My, my. Isn’t this a scene to behold?”
Everyones heads snapped around to the source of the voice, seeing another unknown figure standing before them. Natsu stood up in front of Lucy and his daughter protectively. “Who the hell are you?”
The man laughed at Natsu’s words. “You don’t recognize me? My, I’m hurt Natsu Dragneel.”
The dragon slayer squinted his eyes. He looked familiar, but different at the same time. He sniffed the air, smelling the familiar scent. “R-Rogue?”
“I guess your dragon senses are still top notch Dragneel.” He praised the pink hair man. “Do you happen to smell anyone else?”
Natsu took another whiff, eyes closed in concentration. When he understood what he meant, his eyes snapped open, iris’s turning green with anger. “Why is your scent mixed with Sting’s!?”
“I know you’re not that naive Dragneel.”
“You bastard.” Natsu spoke in a harsh tone, making Lucy stand up a worried look on her face.
“Natsu what does he-”
“That bastard killed Sting.”
Gasps sounded throughout the room.
“H-He what?” Wendy shakily said. Her body shaking when Rogues intense stare met her eyes.
“I am Rogue Cheney from the future. I killed Sting to gain his power.” He said rather proudly of himself.
“You monster…” Lucy spoke loud enough so he could hear her. She watched at he turned his head eyes darted over to her, digust in them.
“The only monster here is you.”
Lucy looked in disbelief, not noticing the way Nashi was shaking in fear of future Rogue. “As I recall, I didn’t do a damn thing. I’m not the one who killed my partner!”
“That may be true.” Rogue gathered his shadow magic into his hand. “But you were the one who opened the gates and ruined everyones future, Lucy Heartfilia!” He shot out his magic, directly at the blonde.
“Lucy!” Natsu shouted and jumped at the fast approaching magic in hopes to stop it before he reached his beloved blonde. He reached his hand out in a desperate attempt to make the dark magic hit him instead. His efforts were futile.
He couldn’t stop the attack.
The magic was rapidly approaching and Lucy knew there was no way she could dodge or counter the attack in time…
She knew she was going to die.
From the corner of her eye, she seen something clothed in black coming at her. Before she could say anything, Nashi jumped in front of her mother taking the force of the attack straight in her stomach.
Everyone stared in a trembling silence as they watched Nashi fall to the floor unmoving. A pool of blood surrounding her writhing form.
Lucy was the first to speak. “NASHI!” She sprinted to her daughter’s side, instantly getting on her knees and propping the teen up. “Nashi. Nashi baby please speak to me!”
“M-Mom…” Nashi whimpered as Lucy held her closer. “Y-You didn’t-”
“I know baby I know.” Lucy tried her best not to let the impending sobs take over just yet. “I w-would never do that.”
Nashi twisted her head to look at her father’s trembling body, his olive green eyes fill with unshed tears. She smiled through the pain at both of her parents. “I’m… so happy I got to see the two of you one more time.”
“Nashi!” Lucy shouted in a desperate attempt to keep her daughter’s attention focused on her.
“I l-love you mommy, daddy….” Before going limp in Lucy’s arms, she whispered on final request.
“Please… protect the future.”
“Hmmph. No matter.” Rogue nonchalantly spoke as if he just didn’t kill somebody. “I won’t miss this time Lucy Heartfilia.”
“You… BASTARD!” Natsu shouted in pure agony, deflecting Rogue’s attack this time. “Y-You killed my daughter.” Natsu’s heads snapped up, showing the tears rushing down his tanned cheeks.
“Now I’m going to kill you.” He let out another fire attack towards his enemy.
“I will protect and change the future.” He brought his hands up to his scarf, clutching it tightly showing he meant what he was promising.
“For my daughter.”
Nashi laid on the ground in an open field, recognizing the scenery was different than the castle she was in before. She made an attempt to get up, thinking she would only feel pain, relieved to feel that she had felt none.
“Where am I?” She questioned herself as she inspected the land around her. She only seen miles upon miles of blue skies and golden grass.
“Nashi!” She froze as she heard her name. Not her name… but the sound of the person who had said her name.
It sounded exactly like her father.
She slowly turned around to the source of where she heard her voice. Eyes widening as she seen two figures smiling at her.
“Get over here already honey, we’re all waiting.” She heard her mother’s sweet voice say this time.
Nashi felt as if she couldn’t move, but she could feel the tears surfacing in her brown eyes. She watched as her parents ran over to her, each one taking one of her hands in their own.
“Lets go Nashi!” Natsu shouted.
“Our adventure continues.” Lucy said softly before they all started to run towards the other members in the guild.
Nashi ran between her two parents, their hands locked together. Her tears falling in streams down her face seeing her present parents alive and well again.
The coldness in Nashi’s heart began to fade, knowing her sacrifice was worth this never ending adventure.
So Mashima just posted this new character design and instantly my little shipper mind thought that it was a NaLu child , for the fact of the pink hair and then the weapon which looks very similar to Lucy’s Fleuve d'etoiles..
I finally thought of a fluffy NaLu Christmas prompt :D Probably the most fluffy thing I’ve ever written.
Setting: Christmas AU
Summary: Natsu didn’t expect his three month old daughter to help pick out a gift for his wife.
“Do you really have to go?” Natsu whined, pouting from his spot on the couch. He watched as his wife came walked into the living room, their three month year old daughter in her arms.
Lucy sighed, slightly bouncing the giggling child in her arms. “You know I do. I don’t get to see my father very much. The holidays are the only time I have off to go and visit him.”
The pink haired father growled lightly. “Yeah, but it’s Nashis first Christmas! Don’t you want to be with her?”
“Natsu, there is no way I would miss Nashis first Christmas.” She declared with a roll of her brown eyes. “Theres still a week until Christmas and I’m only going to be gone for the next two days. You’re just being overdramatic.”
Natsu huffed a breath, crossing his arms over his broad chest. “Am not.”
“Sure, sure.” She replied with a slight giggle, handing her daughter over to her husband. “I need to pack, can you watch her?”
Natsu nodde taking his daughter from his wife with a wide smile setting her on his lap. “Hi there baby girl.”
Nashi returned her father’s words with a toothless smile, falling into his chest chewing on the end of his scarf. Lucy watched the scene with a small smile on her face. “While I’m out of town, dad and I are going to shop for Nashi.”
Natsu looked up at his wife. “Please don’t let him go all out. I don’t want to look like a bad father since I couldn’t get my daughter very expensive things…”
The blonde went over to the couch, sitting down next to her husband. She planted a kiss on his cheek before placing her small hand on his toned bicep. “You’ll never look like a bad father Natsu. So what if we don’t have as much money as my dad for stuff? We’re doing our best,” Lucy began to stroke her daughter’s fine pink hair. “And I’m sure when Nashi’s older she’ll appreciate that more than anything money can buy.”
Natsu smiled fondly at his daughter who was still chewing on his scarf. Her doe brown eyes glazed over with pure content for the task at hand. When she sensed her parent’s eyes on her, she looked at their faces smiling down at her. This caused the three month old to drop the scarf, smiling toothless and clapping her little hands together. The two parents laughed at their daughter’s antics.
It’s been one week since baby Nashi was kidnapped. It’s been one week of Natsu beating himself up on not being able to stop those awful people from taking his little girl and it’s been one week of Lucy feeling completely out of her element with only her Spirits to guide her. After all, Natsu and the guild won’t let her search for Nashi in her pregnant condition. Everyone in Fairy Tail has been looking for their little dragon princess and yet no traces have been found. Six of the Dragon slayers Wendy, Gajeel, Sting, Rogue, Laxus, and Cobra have looked throughout the whole kingdom of Fiore. Natsu couldn’t search, someone needed to be with Lucy at a time like this.
“Dammit! Why couldn’t I save her,” Natsu asked himself for the millionth time. Every day, he and Lucy wake up to this awful reality.
“Natsu, what if they hurt her? She’s just a baby! She’s scared and alone! You have to go after them. You just have to! Please!!! She’s our daughter,” Lucy cried to Natsu as she was struggling to move from the bed.
Natsu gently pushed her down back onto the bed and hugged her as close as he could with her stomach in the way. Lucy’s right Natsu thought to himself, he had to go after them. In the moment of need, Happy appeared. Natsu leaves Lucy resting on the bed and gently moves into the next room with Happy following him.
“ Natsu, how’s Lucy?” Happy asked with concern for his friends clearly evident.
“She’s a wreck. I don’t know how much stress she can take Happy. Buddy, do you think you can do me a favor?” Natsu asked, hoping that Happy would be fast enough.
“ Aye Sir!” Happy listened to Natsu’s instructions. He would do anything for him.
“ I need you to go back to the guild and get Mira-Jane and Erza. They need to stay here with Lucy. I need her protected while I go find Nashi.” I will find her
Natsu was running around their home packing medicine, clothes, food and a picture of his family while Happy flew back to the guild. Natsu quietly went to the bedroom and looked at Lucy with complete love and devotion. He kissed Lucy on the cheek gently to rouse her before he leaves.
“ Lucy, I promise you I will bring Nashi home. You just rest and try to stay calm. I’ll be back with her in my arms.” Natsu left quickly before Lucy could fully awaken. Natsu left the house just in time to see Happy arrive with Mira and Erza. He knew with them watching Lucy, he would have nothing to worry about. After all, The She- Demon and The Queen of the Fairies are two of the strongest women in Fairy Tail.
“ Protect her with your lives because she is mine.” Natsu ordered to them, after looking back at the house one last time, Natsu left.
A few hours later, Lucy awoke in an empty room. She heard the noise of pots and pans clinking in the kitchen. Oh no. Please tell me Natsu’s not trying to cook again. Lucy walks into the kitchen and sees Mira Jane cooking some pasta and Erza eating a cake.
“ Hey guys.. what are you doing here?” Mira stops cooking and walks to Lucy.
“ Natsu went to look for Nashi and asked us to watch over you in case something happens with the baby.”
“ What! Without telling me! I know I said he should, but she should have told me first. He didn’t say good-bye, he could get hurt and- OW” Lucy grabbed her stomach as a sharp pain disturbed her. Lucy’s breath starts to shorten and sweat breaks out.
“ Oh god- oh god. I’m going to lose both of them. I can’t lose both of them. Erza, you have to find Natsu. Ple- please. He- Help hi-him.” Lucy begs Erza with her weak breath. Each word sounded so short and so forced. Mira- Jane, not wanting to see Lucy stress out, came up to her and hugged her gently.
“ Lucy, the best thing you can do to help Natsu is to rest. You have a baby to take care of. So please rest.” Mira placed her hand on Lucy’s forehead and silently casts a sleeping spell. Erza caught Lucy before she hit the ground.
Mira Jane felt bad for using her power on Lucy, but without doing so, she would risk the health of the baby. Erza carried Lucy back to the bedroom bridal style and tucked her in. With one last look at the sleeping blond, Scarlet walked out and back to the kitchen. Mira settled a piece of cake and some tea cups onto the counter. Her crossed arms were on the counter with her head down.
“ We have to do something. I don’t know how much she can take when she wakes up and Natsu and Nashi aren’t home.”
“Mira, the only thing we can do now is protect the two of them. We will do as we were instructed. Natsu can handle this on his own.” Erza said to Mira. Still, Erza wondered where Natsu was at that very moment. Happy left two hours ago looking for Natsu. He explained how he has always been by Natsu’s side and he wasn’t going to stop now.
It was getting late so both women started getting ready for bed. Erza slept in the bedroom in a chair next to Lucy to keep watch. Mira was in the living room. For the days after, they settled into an easy routine. Lucy would wake up, eat, sleep, use the bathroom and worry. Erza would stand watch and Mira Jane would comfort Lucy. A week later, Wendy came by with Porlyusica to check on the baby. Everything was fine. Their baby girl would be due any day now.
Two days later, Happy returns with a large smile on his face.
“ Lucy, Mira, Erza! He found Nashi! Natsu found her and they’re coming home. Lucy, she’s alive and well. Natsu found her in the bad guys cabin. It was under spelled by powerful ruins but Natsu found her.”
Natsu appears ten minutes later with little baby Nashi all swaddled up in her daddy’s arms. Lucy runs to Natsu and Nashi, well as fast as she can with her pregnancy. She embraces her family and cries tears of joy and relief.
They’re home. They’re both home safe and sound.
Lucy thinks to herself.
“ See Lucy, just like I promised. I brought her home. Our little Princess was a real trooper. She didn’t even cry when it got too hot in the room. I bet she wants to be like her Daddy now. Don’t worry Princess. I will always rescue you. I will always be there for you.”
Are you still accepting AUs? Imagine that Nashi (nalu child) likes going on adventures when she's a teenager and she brings a boy she met on a mission back to the guild to join. Everyone's just like 'not again'.
The guild doors swung open, revealing the oldest Dragneel child and a young man around her age. She seemed to be showing him the guild and they caught a lot of curious eyes from the guild members. Mira giggled slightly as she knew Natsu would be quite interested in his daughter’s new friend. Speaking of the dragon slayer, Natsu had heard his daughters voice and turned to greet her only to frown when he saw who was with her.
”Hey, uh, Nashi. Who’s this?” Natsu practically stalked up to the pair, arms folded across his chest, and a stern look on his face.
”Oh, hey dad! This is Raiden, I met him while I was out on a mission with Miko and Emi. He really wanted to meet everyone at the guild!” Nashi beamed, gesturing to Raiden.
”Uh, hello sir.” Raiden shyly address Natsu.
”You shouldn’t just bring random people to the guild unless they need help, Nashi.” Natsu dismissed the boy and scolded her.
”He wanted to meet everyone!” Nashi shot back, making a face. The mild confrontation got the attention of Lucy who wondered over.
”Mom, dad is yelling at me because I brought Raiden here.” Nashi humphed and crossed her arms over her chest, much like her father. It was quite obvious where Nashi had gotten her ‘hot-headedness’; it cause her and Natsu to butt heads more than on occasion.
“All I’m saying is she shouldn’t be bringing people here she doesn’t know. You have no idea what he’s like or his intensions!” Natsu argued, pinning a hard glare against Raiden.
“Uh, Natsu why don’t you just calm down.” Lucy tried laughing lightly and putting a hand on her husband’s shoulder, “Hi, I’m Lucy. I’m Nashi’s mother, nice to meet you.” Lucy stuck her hand out to Raiden and he happily shook it.
“Nice to meet you too, Mrs. Dragneel. I’m sorry, I didn’t want to be rude or anything, it’s just, when I heard that Nashi was part of Fairy Tail, I just had to come see! I’ve always wanted to join Fairy Tail!” Raiden gushed making Lucy giggle.
“No worries here! Welcome to Fairy Tail. I’m sure everyone will be pleased to meet you.” Lucy said warmly and Natsu’s jaw almost dropped off completely.
“What, Lucy!” Natsu whined, his eyes pleading at her, “She’s only eighteen, she shouldn’t even be hanging around boys!”
“Natsu, you sounds like you’re a little kid right now, you’re right she is eighteen, I think she can make friends on her own.” Lucy pointed and and Natsu pouted.
”Isn’t that what age mom was when you brought her to the guild, dad?” Nashi pointed out and Natsu scowled.
“Don’t push it, Nashi.”
“Uh… I’m sorry…” Raiden awkwardly shuffled his feet, looking down at the ground.
“Please don’t apologize!” Lucy exclaimed, waving her hands in front of her, “Natsu, I think Erza needed you to help train some of the kids, why don’t you go find her before she gets angry.”
“Aye…” Natsu answered glumly but quickly scurried off to find the high tempered, reequip mage.
“Nashi’s right, by the way Raiden. Between you and I, Natsu brought me to Fairy Tail when I was around your age. Pay no mind to him, he’s a little grumpy today.” Raiden smiled at Lucy and Nashi gave her a silent look of thanks.
“Hey, Happy! Come meet Raiden!” Nashi called to the blue exceed seated with Charle. “Mom, I’m gonna show him around and have him meet everyone!”
“Okay, I’m sure if you’d like to join it would be absolutely fine, Raiden. But Nashi, make sure you check with Master Laxus to be sure it’s okay.” Lucy instructed and Nashi vigorously nodded her head, her orange hair flinging up and down.
”Sure, mom! C’mon!” Nashi dashed off, Raiden in tow, and Happy not far behind. Lucy went to go find Natsu and help him with Erza and to help him get over the fact that his daughter was growing up. Mira was behind the bar, shaking her head and smiling.
”Oh boy, not this again! Reminds you of a certain pair doesn’t it Wakaba?” Macao asked his long time friend who sat next to him in front of Mira.
“Sure does. Let’s see how much trouble these two can make.”
”I think it’s cute!” Mira piped in, her eyes bright. “They remind me of Natsu and Lucy when they were younger.”
”Ugh, not again…” Gray came up to the trio with Gajeel.
“Yeah, just what we need. You know Natsu’s going to be a little baby about the whole thing.” Gajeel grumped, rolling his eyes.
”Oh, stop. You know if that was Emi you’d be probably worse than Natsu!” Levy scolded her husband and Gajeel’s eyes widened.
“Levy! I didn’t see you there, heh.” Gajeel rubbed the back of his neck, “Anyways, if it was Emi, she wouldn’t be stupid enough to bring back some strange boy.” Levy just frowned at him and Gray laughed at the pair.
”You too, Gray-sama! You behave!” Juvia came up behind the ice make wizard causing him to jump in fright.
”Put some clothes on!” Cana called from across the hall and Natsu glared at the pair having heard them.
”You better shut your traps you idiots!” Natsu growled.
”Oh yeah? You think you can take me, Flame-Brain?” Gray shot back, a mischievous smirk on his face.
”Yeah, come on Salamander.” Gajeel snickered making Natsu even more angry. The three then got into an all out brawl making everyone sigh.
”History seems to repeat itself.” Levy stated, shaking her head at the three grown men, struggling against each other. Makarov stepped down from the second floor and was fuming.
”Damn it, not this again! What, did Nashi bring a boy home yet?” Makarov’s fists clenched by his side.
”Hey, cool it gramps. But yeah, she did. He’s joining the guild by the way.” Laxus smirked.
”I need a drink.” Makarov stalked away, shaking his head at the commotion.
”Just like old times!” Mira cheered, pouring the retired guild master a drink while Lucy yelled at Natsu to stop being a quote “over dramatic baby” while a horrified Nashi looked on with an equally uncomfortable Raiden by her side, his new guild mark on his right shoulder.
Okay! This was an awesome headcanon, I really loved it! I hope you like it, I tried to be creative with it but I’m not sure I like it lol let me know!

“Hold still sweetheart.” Lucy said gently, ripping a long strip of fabric from her shirt, exposing her midriff as she turned to her daughter. “Nashi, this may sting a bit, but I need you to be strong for mommy, okay?”
The small girl nodded, lip quivering slightly as she held out her injured arm to her mother. “Mommy, I’m scared…”
Lucy smiled sadly as she quickly bandaged the long slashes on her daughter’s arm, trying to block out the sounds of battle behind her. “I know…everything’s going to be alright though, I promise.”
Those dark eyes, so like Natsu’s stared up at her, full of frightened and pained tears. “Wh-what’s wrong with daddy?”
So this is my special fanfic that I wanted to write instead of an angst prompt! This is a little gift for my bi twin dragneelbooty and I for facing our fears and coming out to the world. Summary: Nashi finally built up enough courage to tell her parents her latest discovery.
“I can do this.” Nashi looked at herself in the mirror, looking as confident as she could. She gripped the edge of her bathroom sink hard enough for her knuckles to turn white, she felt her knees shake at the thought of telling people about her most recent discovery.
What she discovered both confused and scared her, but she couldn’t deny it was true. For the past few months, she felt like something was missing; she felt different. After some soul searching and help from her fellow friends, Nashi finally discovered what was wrong with her. Something that was just a simple thought, but it could also destroy the bonds she’s built with everyone over the past seventeen years of her young life. She wanted to tell everyone, to tell the world, but she decided to start with the people who loved her the most in this world.
Sure, some of her guildmates already knew and with their support it made her feel better about it; she couldn’t help but feel nervous.
She was scared that her parents would see her differently than just their daughter, their only child.
Shes afraid they’ll see her differently, that they won’t accept her for who she truly was.
“Nashi, honey? Are you almost done? Dinners ready and your father’s ready to eat!” Nashi snapped out of her thoughts when she heard her mother shout through the closed door.
“Coming mom!” She replied, instantly walking to the door and opening it to reveal her mother.
“Are you alright? You were in there awhile.” Lucy asked her daughter, worry clear in her expression. Even though she felt uneasy, Nashi forced a smile to her mother.
“Don’t worry mom I’m fine, lets go eat!” Before Lucy could say anything, her hyperactive daughter sprinted down the hallway to the kitchen.
“Okay…” Lucy muttered, slowly walking behind to the kitchen.
“Hey Nashi, guess what daddy did today?” The girl in question rolled her eyes at her fathers question. Already knowing what he was going to say.
“Let me guess, you kicked Uncle Gray’s butt?” She replied in a bored tone, censoring herself knowing her mom didn’t approve of her potty mouth that she apparently received from her dads side of the family.
“Damn straight!” He slammed his fist on the table to emphasize his point, apologizing when he seen his wifes disapproving glare. Turning her attention back to her daughter, Lucy noticed that she wasn’t eating much, and that was saying something since she acquired her husbands appetite.
“Nashi, whats wrong?” At her mother’s question Nashi looked up from pushing her corn with her fork to meet both her parents concerned stares.
“And don’t tell us its nothing.” Natsu spoke up. “We know you pretty damn well to know when you’re lying or not.”
She looked down again, muttering something under her breath. “I-I don’t know if I’m ready to tell you guys yet or not.” She tried to be as quiet as possible, but with her father’s supersonic hearing he easily picked it up.
“Not ready to tell us what?”
“I don’t know if I’m ready to tell you guys whats wrong with me yet.”
“Honey, you know you can tell your father and I anything. Thats what we’re here for.” Her mother’s words were calming, pushing up the phrase she wanted so desperately to tell them, but they just wouldn’t come out.
“I know that.” Her voice was a little ruder coming out than she intended. “I’m sorry, I just… don’t know how to tell you.” She felt tears rising at the back of her eyes from all the intense emotions she was feeling. Seeing her watery eyes, her parents both got up from their seats to go kneel in front of their only child. “Why are you crying baby girl?” Natsu asked sympathetically, using his nickname that always made Nashi feel special. He placed his hand on her arm, rubbing it to try to console her. Nashi’s tears overfilled the back of her eyes, now streaming down her cheeks.
“I-I’m just so scared to tell you… but I want to tell you.”
“We don’t want you to be upset honey, please tell us whats bothering you. We’ll do our best to fix it.” Lucy placed her hand on her daughter’s thigh. Nashi felt so loved by her parents, she knew they were her parents world. Thats why she didn’t want to ruin it with what she was going to tell them.
“I don’t want you guys to think of me differently. You’ll probably hate me if I tell you.”
“Nashi, don’t you ever say that.” She looked up when she heard her father’s deadly serious tone, only to be met with a serious face accompanying it. “There is absolutely nothing you can say or do in this world that would make your mother and I hate you or think differently of you.”
“He’s right Nashi.” The pink haired teen turned her attention to her mother. “We love you, no matter what happens.” That was it, she couldn’t hold it in. The words she so desperately wanted to say were at the top of her throat ready to be said.
“I like boys and girls.” The silence her parents had was unnerving. Nashi needed them to say something, anything.
After what seemed like hours, Lucy finally broke the silence. “You mean you’re bisexual?” The blonde let out a deep sigh of relief when she seen her daughter nod. “Oh honey, don’t scare us like that again!” Nashi blinked in confusion.
“Why would we hate you for being yourself?” Her father asked, genuinely confused. Nashi was at such a loss for words, they didn’t care? They didn’t think of her differently?
“But- I thought-”
“Nashi, theres nothing wrong with being bisexual.” Her mother gave her a bright smile, making her anxiety about the whole situation begin to fade away.
“Yeah, just think of it this way! You have twice the chance of finding someone to love.” Natsu pointed out, making Nashi’s chest warm up.
She seriously had the best parents ever.
“So you guys aren’t… disappointed?”
“Of course not!” Lucy said standing up pulling her daughter into a warm embrace. “We can never be disappointed in you for being who you truly are, Nashi.”
“Yeah! We love you for you and all your quirks.” Natsu agreed, standing up, putting his arms around his two favorite girls. “It took some major guts to tell us that Nashi. We’re proud of you.”
“I don’t deserve parents like you.” The teen threw her arms around both her parents, completing their family hug.
Lucy placed a kiss on her daughter’s forehead, happy her tears had finally stopped. “Thank you for being you Nashi, we wouldn’t have you any other way.” Lucy pulled back, offering her child a radiant smile.
“Yeah kiddo, we’re behind you one hundred percent!” Natsu pulled back, wrapping an arm around his wife’s waist giving his own grin to his daughter. “You can be an alien, a smurf, asexual, pansexual or whatever sexual and we’ll still love you Nashi. Because you are Nashi Dragneel. You’re not defined by your sexuality, you’re defined by you.” Her father finished his little pep talk, and Nashi just couldn’t take it. She flew out of her chair and back into her parents arms, tears of anxiety replaced by tears of happiness. The proud parents gave each other a quick smile before wrapping their arms around their lone child.
“I love you guys, you’re the best parents ever.”
“We love you too Nashi.” They said in unison, the group hug lingering.
“C'mon!” Skylynn tugged my hand, pulling me out the door to the car. Mom had to work today, and I had to take Skylynn to dance class. Not going to complain, Skylynn looks adorable in her tutu.
“Alright, alright.” I sighed, grabbing the keys and my sunglasses, and walking Skylynn outside into the spring weather.
I buckled Skylynn up, as she jabbered on about her class.
“I think you’ll like her, Nashy.” She finished, brushing her doll’s hair absentmindedly. I finished buckling my sister in, cocking my head to the side.
Skylynn gave me the ‘were you even listening face’ and I held my hands up in surrender. “Miss Macy, duh!”
“Nash you have to listen to me sometimes.” Skylynn rolled her eyes sassily, sighing with exasperation. I chuckled at her, closing the door and going to the driver’s seat. I started up the car, letting the AC turn on before pulling out of the driveway.
“So who’s this Miss Macy?” I called to the backseat, and Skylynn kicked her legs, “My ballet teacher! She’s so pretty Nash, and she dances like a princess.” She gushed, “I wanna be just like Miss Macy!”
Hm. Like a princess. I thought, stopping at a red light. “Well, I’m sure you will be just like her someday.”
“-And! Guess what?” Skylynn kept going. I turned around to look at my baby sister, a smile on my face. “What?”
“She’s sixteen, just like you Nashy!” Skylynn cheered, clapping her little hands and then going back to playing with her doll.
We pulled into the dance studio’s parking lot, Skylynn jittering again and shoving her doll into her dance bag that she had tugged along with her.
“C'mon!” Skylynn tugged me into the studio. The walls were pink with mirrors everywhere changing rooms, and many different studios. The walls to every studio were glass, so you could see into every room and watch the people dance. You could hear what they were saying, and what music they were listening to, too.
I looked at my watch as Skylynn pulled me to the back, and I furrowed my eyebrow’s together.
“Skylynn we’re twenty minutes early.” I stated, as Skylynn pushed me to sit down on a bench. I was staring into a studio, with one girl and a middle aged woman. There was a slow song on, it was Falling for You by Second Hand Serenade.
The girl looked about my age, she was a little under average height with grey leggings and a floral tank top, with her hair French braided back into a bun thing. A few pieces were hanging out, framing her face, which I had yet to see.
“That’s Miss Macy.” Skylynn smiled, pointing a finger to the girl everyone was watching in the studio.
“Ready Macy?” The woman in the studio suddenly started the song over. Macy turned around, looking through the glass. It was obvious that the people waiting for class outside of the studio, looking into the glass were the audience.
But wow, like wow. Macy was gorgeous. She had the prettiest eyes I’ve ever seen, with beautifully pink cheeks and lips and she was just cute. She looked focused, her striking eyes looking up a little bit and not making eye contact with anyone. She pointed her left foot out, pointing her toe forward, and beginning to dance.
And when I say she defied gravity, I mean it. Macy flew around the studio gracefully, not missing a beat and landing her jumps perfectly. She was so flexible, so agile and graceful. She looked like an angel.
By the time she was done, people were already clapping, including me. Skylynn had run up to the glass, clapping and jumping. Macy bowed with a cute little smile as the clapping got louder.
“You are so taking that to Nationals!” The instructor clapped and smiled for her. She smiled at the last word, the sound of competition seemed to make her excited. She seemed ambitious and ready to take on anything. My kinda’ girl.
People started to file out of the waiting area, resuming in the act of taking their kids to their actual dance class. Skylynn grabbed my hand and pulled us both into the dance room.
“What are we doin’ Sky?” I asked as I held her dance bag for her. Skylynn didn’t answer me, she just ran up to hug Macy. Macy knelt down and hugged my sister bag, smiling at beautiful, warm smile at her.
“Hi Skylynn! Ready for ballet?” She asked cheerfully. Skylynn nodded, and took Macy’s hand in hers. She pointed to me, and whispered in her ear. Macy closed her eyes and giggled, shaking her head. If I wasn’t imagining things, I could’ve sworn she was blushing.
“You’re too funny Skylynn.” Macy laughed as Skylynn pulled her over to me. She tugged on the bottom of my shirt, making me look down at her.
“Nashy this is Miss Macy.” Skylynn said in a formal voice, introducing me to her beautiful dance teacher.
I looked up, well, down on Macy and smiled. She returned the smile, but hers was shy. Hers was innocent, and it made her look adorable.
“Hi.” I said, “Hi.” She replied, and stuck out her hand.
“I’m Nash.” I smiled again, causing her to blush. Did I make her nervous?
“You’re a great dancer.” I blurted out, rolling back and forth on my heels. Macy smiled when she heard this, her grin gracing her face, “You saw?”
“How could I not? You were fantastic.” I added with a smile, and Macy giggled, “Thank you.”
“Miss Macy!” A little girl with dark hair called rom the other side of the dance studio, messing with her hair, “My bun is stuck! Can you fix it please?”
Macy turned her head to look at the girl, and she smiled softly. She seemed to be great with kids. “Yes Ava, I’ll be there in a second.”
She turned away from me and looked at the group of eleven or twelve girls under five stood around and played while they waited. She clapped her hands loudly in a certain rhythm, and the girls clapped back. Everyone was silent after that.
“Okay,” Macy clasped her hands together, “Get your slippers on, and sit in butterfly position and stretch, okay? I’ll be there in a second.” She instructed her students, “And thank you all for being patient.”
A chorus of “yes Miss Macy’s” echoed around the room as all the girls 9including my sister) sat down and began to stretch. They giggled about one thing or another and I waved at Skylynn as she waved at me from her spot on the floor, beside her friends.
Macy turned back around to me, a smile still on her face, “I have to go teach now, but I’d like to talk to you again.” She stated with ease, looking up at me.
I looked at her, trying not to hide the fact that I was taken aback. One minute she’s shy and innocent, the next she’s confident.
“Really?” I asked, a crooked grin growing.
“Really really.” Macy winked, and I chuckled. She was too cute.
I reached over and took her small wrist in my hand, pulling her to me. I pulled a pen out of Skylynn’s dance bag, and clicked it so it would work. Macy giggled as I wrote my number on the soft underside of her wrist, and signed it off with a smiley face.
“Text me when you’re done with your classes, okay?” I asked her, and she nodded.
“I will.” She promised. We kind of sat there staring at each other for a moment, but the silence wasn’t awkward. It was… nice?
“Miss Macy c'monnnnnn.” A kid whined, and Macy chuckled under her breath.
“I better go.” She sighed, and I nodded, understanding.
“Alright.” I agreed, and started walking backwards to the door, “I’ll be waiting for that text.”
Macy blushed, shuffling her feet shyly. There she goes, switching up on me again. “Really?” She asked softly.
I leaned on the doorframe, and winked at her, “Really really.”
