Yuri on Ice interview translation - PASH! 2017/03 (p10-11)
The second part of the episode commentary by Mitsurou Kubo! I have now fixed it with all the italic & bold parts as in the magazine (in the magazine they are actually bold & bolder). If you have any questions please send me a private message and I’ll reply when I have some time.
You can find the first commentary about episodes 1-6 here.
Just a note: when she quotes lines from the episodes I’m not using any of the “official” English translations, I’m translating them as I would translate them myself, so they might not be like you are used to hear them, but I think you will understand which lines they are anyway.
The translation is under the cut because it’s long.
***If you wish to share this translation please do it by reblogging or posting a link to it*** ***Re-translating into other languages is ok but please mention that this post is the source***
“Are they gay?”
“They all look the same”
“I don’t think any of them are attractive”
“So you like anime?”
“Why can’t you talk Korean then?”
“Why do the guys dye their hair and wear makeup?they can’t be straight!”
“It all sounds the same”
“How can you tell them all apart?”
“Why are they so pale?”
“The music is so generic”
“You like Korean pop! Hopefully in the south HAHA”
“It’s just a phase”
“Why is there some English words in the song?”
“There dancing is so good!”
“Are you sure that’s not a woman?”
“Why do the girls all look so young”( and I’m like she 30 though)
“There the Korean version of __________”
“What’s the point in liking them if you can’t understand them”
“Asia has hip hop?”
“The music videos are so weird”
I was in Sephora the other day and a woman was there with her young son. When I say young, I mean probably 5 years old. She was looking at the makeup so he was running around looking at it too. He wasn’t being obnoxious or anything though, just excited. So he runs past me and I hear his mom go “No! Hey! Don’t put that on!” I turn around and see that he has one of the tester lipsticks in his hand. She snatches it away and says “You can’t wear lipstick. First of all, you’re a BOY. Boys DON’T wear lipstick.” and then she went on about how she told him not to touch anything.
It broke my heart honestly.
I understand not wanting your little one to mess of the testers but really? “You’re a boy so you can’t wear lipstick.” I mean, come on. You took him to a makeup store and he tried to put on some lipstick so I’m guessing he gets the interest from YOU.
On the flip side, when I worked in childcare, I knew a little girl whos little brother looked up to her so much that he liked to dress like her. The dad didn’t even bat an eye when his son and daughter both came in wearing skirts. I also knew many rather “punk rock” kind of families who would paint their sons nails all kinds of colors for no other reason than the children requested it.
SUPPORT YOUR BOYS IN WHAT THEY LIKE.
SUPPORT YOUR CHILDREN.

Summary: You and Hoseok have been best friends since you were young. Your friendship with him, was struck as odd since you were a cat hybrid, while he was a dog hybrid. But that didn’t matter, that is until you both start attending university. What happens when one of you unexpectedly goes into heat?
Pairing: Jhope x Reader
Genre: Smut (M), hybrid!au, Cat hybrid reader, Dog hybrid Jhope
Word Count : 5.5k
A/N: This story contains graphic descriptions of sex, cum play, bondage, oral, etc. Heavy dom/sub undertones. Lmao this is just a sinful read. I’m a sucker for hybrid aus, so i had to make one ;) Anywho, this is a mature read! You have been warned!
You’ve known Hoseok since you were nine years old. At the
time, you were just a quiet little kitten, who didn’t have many friends.
Hoseok, was an annoying hyperactive puppy, who everybody adored in your class.
He didn’t really bother you that much, until you became desk partners. That’s
when he thought it was okay to pop your ‘personal space bubble’ and sniff you,
every second he got.
“Why do you keep
trying to smell me!” the nine-year-old you shouted. This was the third time you
caught him in the act, ever since you became seat mates a week ago.
“I’m part canine!
That’s what we always do!” Hoseok explained, with a smile on his face. He
didn’t really know you that much, only that you were always super quiet. But he
wanted to change that, he wanted a feline as a friend for once.
“Well can you stop?
Its kinda weird,” you replied uncomfortably.
Including you, there
were only two other cat hybrids in your class, the rest were a split between
bunny, dog, and fox hybrids. Thus, you were extremely uncomfortable with this
puppy trying to get up all in your space. Besides, you were quite afraid of dog
hybrids since they could become aggressive easily.
“No, you’re weird,”
the puppy joked.
You finally turn to
glare at him, then let a hiss seethe through your teeth.
The Anne and Gilbert rivalry is near and dear to fans of Anne of Green Gables. Here’s a little taste of the texture and tone of how this plays out in Anne the Series. Mild episode 5 spoilers, ahead…
Anne and Gilbert are up against one another in a Spelling Bee and are the final two contestants. The charming thing is when it’s Anne’s turn, Gilbert doesn’t look as though he’s hoping for her to fail. Instead, he’s quietly rooting for her to succeed. And when she indeed earns a genuine win, he’s sweet and gracious about it. Yet more layered acting from the young cast.
BACKGROUND: Jungkook’s first time had left him traumatized of having sex ever again. It had gone so far to the point that a rumor had even spread about him not being able to get hard-ons. You then decide to step in and prove the rumor wrong. What was supposed to be a simple test of theory leads to a night that you weren’t going to forget for the rest of your life.
AUTHORS NOTE: Omg I haven’t written something in so long. I’m so sorry this took me quite a while. This actually started as a drabble but I kind of got too into it and finished it into a full blown story. I’ll be working on the remaining requests sent to me before, soon I promise you guys, I’m just trying to come up with ideas! But I do hope you enjoy this, tell me what you think.
Jeon, as forever, is a sinful little shit.
If there are any errors, I am sorry about those! I did proof read but I know I still missed some.
Your pen hangs off of your
lips, fingers tapping lightly against the glass table as you study the boy in
front of you. He has his face buried
between the pages of his Physics book, eyes scanning through each paragraph in
close precision, oblvious of your scrutiny. You slowly turn your logistics book
shut, choosing to ignore your studies as the conversation you had with your
brother during last night’s party flashes through your mind.
Spider-Man Homecoming: Peter’s age and why I think that impacts the film greatly
Peter Parker is fifteen in this movie. He’s a sophomore in high school. And it shows. This isn’t like when an thirty year old or a person in their late twenties plays a high-schooler and its obvious, Tom Holland (though not 15) looks young. He sounds young. And Holland acts the age he is supposed to portray perfectly. Peter is fifteen. And to many people who will see this movie that doesn’t feel young, I know, but I’m barely 20 and already it feels terribly young to me. Not in a condescending way, I hope, but I look at him and see how much growing he has to do. Peter even says in the film he’s not even worried about college yet. He’s not even a junior. Peter is really young. And I think that’s important.
In a lot of superhero properties they try and downplay the severity of the child hero thing, for obvious reasons, what worked in the 50s and 60s comics doesn’t work as well now. And some of that is here. Tony Stark never tells Peter to stop until things go too far for him, when most real world adults in this age would end his heroing instantly, and taking Peter to Berlin was kinda… yeah bad on Tony’s part, even though he believed that Cap and his team would never really hurt anyone of them. In some aspects we are supposed to use our suspension of disbelief and wave away some of our concerns about Peter Parker’s age.
And in some ways, no, the movie addresses this. Or at least acknowledges it. And I think that helps and elevates the film.
Making the audience aware of Peter’s youth increases the tension tenfold.
Many people have talked about how they have superhero movie fatigue. And I get it, to some extent, specifically in Marvel. Age of Ultron-post I have felt just a little disconnected. And I think it has to do with stakes. The villains are typically STRONG, the plots are WORLD ENDING, and the heroes are INVINCIBLE. And that’s how the first movies were, but now we’ve seen it so many times that I don’t believe anyone can hurt the Avengers. I’ve seen the avengers go through buildings, concrete, and portals. I’ve seen them get smashed to bits and stand back up, I’ve seen them at their lowest and know they will always be okay. Until someone actually dies (which a morbid part hopes will happen in Infinity War) the stakes are no longer there. To me, it seems like they will always get back up.
But Spiderman is different. He’s fifteen. And though I logically know he’s super strong and more invulnerable than normal humans, he is fifteen. He shouldn’t be out there!- my mind screams. But I know he has to be, for himself. They explained his motivations so well in Civil War I have to root for him now. I understand how Tony go sucked in to his enthusiasm and goodness because I am. So I don’t want him to stop. But every time some threw Peter down, or into a wall I gasped. I threw my hand over my mouth like a little old lady and went “oh no”. I was an emotional wreck in the theatre, constantly whispering and reacting and emoting. I promise that’s not normal for me.
Without spoilers, there is one scene where Peter hits his lowest. He is suit-less (that was in the trailers) and he’s beaten up and trapped. And he fights. Captain America, Iron Man, even Hawkeye and Black Widow, I know can get out of there. They are seasoned, strong, greater than I can ever be. But Peter is a highs school kid trying to balance after school activities and taking spanish and going to the dance and I was that kid. I remember being vulnerable in that way, if not physically but emotionally. And Peter fights through it, even when I wasn’t sure he could. Every time he got hurt I thought ‘is Iron Man going to show up?’ I wanted Tony to show up to help this poor child, even if I knew from a screenwriting standpoint Peter had to save himself. But because, emotionally, I wan’t sure Peter could do it alone it made everything so much more rewarding when he could.
Throughout this movie, when Peter messes up I understand, he has so much learning to do. When he losses I understand, he isn’t as experienced as the bad guy. When he gets mopey, sad, or indignant, I understand because he’s a teenager of course he’s angsty. I am willing to to forgive and empathize with Peter instantly for things I would not be so lenient with adults about. Though I adored Civil War, I rolled my eyes at almost everyone in that movie at least once. There was a better, more adult way to confront this. But Peter is not expected to behave adult-like or maturely, at least not from me. He’s just trying to help and he can make mistakes along the way.
Peter’s youth and inexperience and vulnerability reinvested me in a world where logically I know he can never lose. But because the adults in this movie acknowledged that this was a kid, because the movie took time to experience school and what Peter should be doing instead of running around in tights, because Holland showed that beneath that innate goodness and strength, Peter’s still immature, I felt for this kid. This young kid trying his best touched a point of empathy with me these movies about Gods hadn’t touched in a while. And I think that’s beautiful. And I think it’s important.
@chloebennet: Dear Gigi Hadid, As a kid, (and frankly as an adult) people would make fun of me for being Chinese. For having “Asian eyes”. I would laugh it off because it was always a “joke”, and if I didn’t I was being “too sensitive”. But in reality it made me feel horrible. Like, just BEING ME was a joke that was not meant to be taken seriously. I was embarrassed of who I was. I dyed my hair blonde to make myself look less Asian just so I could feel “worthy” of the people who made me feel less than. Fortunately, now I know that none of this is true. That my value does not come from how I LOOK, but from my CHARACTER. From how I treat others. It hurts my heart to see someone like you, a beautiful young woman with so much influence, act in this inconsiderate way. This does not make you a bad person or racist, however, it does make you ignorant to the pain that your actions can cause others. No matter how unintentional those actions are. And, even if it was just “a joke”. So…to the young Asian men and women who are used to laughing off others ignorance, even though deep down you are hurting. I HEAR YOU. You are badass. You are awesome. Who you are is not “funny”. YOU determine your self worth. Be proud of who you are. 👊🏽💥–Also, I’m also sorry for how many run on sentences are this letter. 🤓 Love, Chloe
P.S. While I’m at it, Asian men are super sexy. So with all due respect fuck you Steve Harvey. (x)
Yeah it’s most certainly obvious that in the new episode, each pair of ‘parents’ represent the different kinds of parents in the world. Just a little analysis:
Max & Nikki: These two, though mostly Nikki, represent the kind of parents who are scared of the unknown and/or are trying their best to come to terms of what their doing. I myself saw a reflection of how teen/young adults react during their pregnancy/first couple years of the newborn’s life.
Preston & Nurf: the 'abusive household’ pair, mostly delving into both mental and physical abuse for either one of the parent’s, in this case the abusive one being Nurf and the victim being Preston. Through this pair, it can be seen how (though quite weird) how much these parents can affect their child’s growth and personality.
Dolph & Ered: The 'irresponsible’ pair that focus on parent’s who don’t properly know how to look after their children and are irresponsible with their actions. Much like how Ered had caused the 'death’ of the egg, it can be seen that through their irresponsibility, there can be dire consequences to their actions.
Space kid & Neil: These two, primarily Neil, represent the Neurotic, protection-obsessed parents that care a little too much on their child. When the egg smashed, I found myself thinking that it’s a symbolism of how protective parents can cause their kids to cave in and cause an unstable relationship between the parent and their child.
Harrison & Nerris: The two seemed to be quite 'pushy’ parents who tried to force their own dreams/personalities on their egg and took a more 'Authoritarian’ approach in terms of 'my way or the highway’ which lead me to believe that they represent those in which force their own aspirations on their child instead of letting their child be who and what they want.
Anyway, just a quick analysis on the new episode, it was a really good episode though I wish my baby Preston wasn’t hurt like that omg. Anything else to add? I’d love to hear your opinions!!
Women have acne. Women have acne on their faces, necks, chests, breasts, and backs. Women have oily skin and acne scars and that’s just the beginning of it. Despite how many of us have it, it seems it will never be accepted in society. It seems the more we tell people to cover it up, the more we’re pretending it’s going to go away, and for many women it doesn’t. We see hundreds of ads daily about “fixing our skin” and “hiding our blemishes” as though acne were as simple as putting on a cream and waking up with clear skin. Clear skin is a skin type, not a healthcare routine. Women are sick of being asked if we’ve washed our faces or being told that makeup only makes our acne worse. Sometimes we can’t go outside because what’s on our faces is always on our minds.
Acne is something lots of us have and will continue to have whether or not we eat like Instagram models or drink several gallons of water a day. With something as natural as acne being considered ugly, young people grow up seeing themselves in a negative light and wait until their acne goes away. It’s ridiculous to consider that just a trick of light on a selfie can make us look like we have clear skin, which is when we feel most beautiful. We need to learn we’re beautiful no matter what marks our skin. I’ve had acne since I was 13 and even though it’s no longer as bad as it was, to this day I struggle with leaving the house makeup-less and uncovered. That’s 5 years of hating how I looked, hundreds of skin creams and many limiting and unrealistic diets to make my acne go away, but now I have learnt it might not be going anywhere.
Acne will still be there when covered in makeup. Acne is human. No amount of “skin care” can take that away from us. Stop demonising acne in the media and making it ugly.
And so I write this to encourage girls to stop buying from brands which suggest “minimising the appearance of pores”, “give you flawless skin”, or “whiten your skin in up to 3 days”, which tries to make the natural way skin is, seem ugly and unfashionable. You’ll see much more of the exploitation of our appearances through brands as you get older, so stop giving these corporations the satisfaction of preying on young girl’s insecurities for the sake of business. Your skin is not a flaw sis, keep rockin’ it and screw the expectations.
This summer we have so many anime with an all-male cast, I was so happy I decided to to a rec/ranking/review/summary. Note: I only watch anime with mostly males I’m sorry it’s just what I like lol so this list may not match yours. (I cannot stand female leads - except maybe Gintama? - because they will escalate into romantic relationships and they annoy me to no end. It’s like the only purpose of females is romance and I hate that.) And a warning is that I’m kind of shallow so I normally look at the guys’ looks and then their character. But good character and relationship developments are definitely essential to me too.
Fukigen na Mononokean
I’ve rec it so many times I feel like I’m part of the official publicity comm but it’s really good :) My favourite character is Abeno cause he’s really adorable and tsundere (?) haha. If you like youkai, friendship and touching moments, do try this out!! It’s a little similar to Natsume Yuujinchou too.
It looks really interesting so I watched it and when I saw the OP I screamed cause all-male cast! Compared to Spring 2016 this season does look more appealing to me. And I’ve ran out of anime with all bromance (other than sports anime) and no romance. So anyway for Servamp, Kuro was a really cute cat, and the setting seems interesting enough for me to chase. I feel like I might not like the main character as much though but we’ll see.
3. Fudanshi Kokou Seikatsu
Ahh this is really cute I can relate so much to the main character as a Fujoshi myself :D and I can hardly find friends who can fangirl with me. It’s really sad to be embarrassed for liking gay ships ;n; The only bad thing about the series is that it’s too short each episode haha.
4. D.Gray-man Hallow
I’ve read the manga but didn’t understand most of it. Still, it’s likeable and I like Allen and Kanda. I felt like this season they beautified all the characters and Kanda definitely looks better with his new hairstyle/fringe :DD I hope they can animate most of the manga and I hope we can finally understand what is going on with the 14th.
I just watched the 1st episode today and all I can is that it’s really good and hilarious omg. Only it’s too short with the first 9min trying to break the fourth wall and I couldn’t understand the humor at all. Still, the rest of the episode was worth it! Can’t wait for the rest!
(A/N) Ayyy it’s ya gorl, Ry, back at it again with those AUs. This time around I introduce you to Fuckboy Johnny, a backward hat wearing frat president on a personal vendetta to get your ass in his hands. viwevopwv jk or am I?? No I’m not lol Have fun kiddies!!!
You don’t really remember how you ended up in the shitty nice frat house, but here you were, pressed against the sticky wall by some boy who you met five minutes ago. You don’t even remember what his face looked like, your eyes are sealed shut and imagining it’s someone else. Maybe it was your subconscious making you forget everything, or all the Jungle Juice you’ve been chugging on top of the pregaming you’d done at a friend’s apartment. At this point your body was ninety percent alcohol and ten percent water, you weren’t even sure how you were still sweating from all the dancing.
Summary: During a case with the Winchesters, things take a turn for the worse, and some secrets you’ve been hiding come to light.
Pairing: Dean x Reader
Warnings: mentions of past smut, angst, pregnant reader, witches, injured Winchesters, character death, arguing, language, fluff
A/N: This fic is based on the prompt; “Reader hides her pregnancy so Dean won’t make her stop hunting yet, and when he finds out he is really pissed off” from a list @deanwinchesterxreader made a while back.
As always, feedback is welcomed!
Your mind kept running back to the positive pregnancy test you’d stashed in your bottom drawer of your room the night before. It wasn’t that you were upset by the news, but you knew as soon as you came clean to the boys about the news- they’d stop you from hunting. You knew they’d become protective over you, worry about the future, and you also couldn’t bear the idea of Dean’s reaction to the fact you were carrying his baby.
You’d spent one heated night together after a rough hunt, you both needed to blow off some steam after going up against a group of vamps and coming out a little battered and bruised after eventually taking them out.
Usually, you and the Winchesters would blow off steam by heading to a bar and possibly finding random hook ups for the night, but on this particular case, Sam had stayed behind after getting injured in a previous hunt. Which meant it left you and Dean alone. You’d helped patch each other up and had a bottle of whiskey at hand, you weren’t in the mood to go out after the day you’d had, surprisingly Dean offered to stay in with you.
One thing lead to another and soon you were in a haze of naked bodies kissing, touching, moving against each other in heated passion. The memory of him sent heat straight to your core, his perfect plump lips, his gorgeous body, his insanely talented mouth and not to mention his impressive-
“-Earth to Y/N.” Dean’s gruff voice pulled you from your daze. He furrowed his brows at you through the reflection of the rear view mirror as you sat in the back of the impala. “You alright?” He asked, the concern clear over his face.
You ran a hand through your hair and nodded, “yeah, yeah I’m good.”.
You could tell by Dean’s face that he didn’t believe you, but he didn’t press any more about it as the three of you exited the car and headed for the victim’s house to talk to his wife.
summary:If you asked most people of Daniel J. Howell’s lot in life, they’d tell you it was pretty good. A small career writing for a fashionable magazine, the heir to one of New York’s most prestigious hotels, the convenience of youth and an ailing millionaire father… what more could an 18-year-old ask for?
So when a night at the symphony turns into the start of a whole new double life in the city’s queer underworld, the heir to New York’s most fashionable hotel will have to learn what is what when you’re dating a cabaret singer, and who is who when that singer becomes a troubled star.
So it’s nothing but fate when things start to fall apart. The catch? It’s the last half of the 1920s–
And this romance is illegal.

excerpt: Dan had heard Phil’s voice down at his piano, but next to him it was something else entirely. The man has a good tone, he wrote. He sings Jeannie with the Light Brown Hair for me. Though antiquated, the charms of the past have obviously not been lost to our young veteran.
