With Baekhyun touring in Japan, things quickly went back to
normal for you and Zoe. You woke up and wrestled your daughter into her school
uniform, dropped her off at school and headed to work, picked Zoe up in the
afternoon and took her to one of her many classes. Then it was dinner, bath and
bed – for the both of you. It was just how things were before you introduced
Baekhyun to your daughter … before you’d even met Baekhyun again after years
Isaac Lahey was famously known for his odd fondness of expensive, good quality scarfs and y/n’s hair. However, his adoration for the latter wasn’t something he was aware of.
Whenever Isaac lost his focus during pack meetings, he would subconsciously run his fingers through y/n’s locks; he sighed wistfully at the sensation of her hair against his skin. If it were someone else, y/n would’ve objected, but since it was Isaac, she could never say no to him.
He allowed his mind to wander while twisting a few strands of her hair between his long fingers, “Looking for a new scarf material, Lahey?” Stiles’ mockery-filled tone of voice snapped him from the trancelike state he seemed to fall in time and again whenever it came to y/n. The abrupt change in y/n’s seated position made him lose grip of her hair, she turned around to meet his big blue eyes.
A faint blush crept up his neck as he became aware of his newfound habit; he grinned sheepishly. The unwanted attention and bursting of laughter he caused had overwhelmed her, y/n excused herself and strode ,a bit too quickly, to the kitchen.
It wasn’t long before the guilt-filled beta appeared behind her; she pretended that she had gone into the kitchen for different reasons: to grab a glass of water. “y/n.” He observed her expression with attentiveness, butterflies hit the surface of her stomach upon hearing her name roll of oh so delicately off his tongue. “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to make you uncomfortable, but there’s something oddly captivating about your hair.” His head hung low in embarrassment, a deep blush never leaving his face.
The room around them seemed to close up with every step she took towards him, his heart hammered in his ears as she leaned on her toes to place a delicate kiss on his flushed cheek. The tips of her fingers came in contact with the heated flesh of Isaac’s shoulder; she smiled shyly at him. “It’s fine, it’s cute actually,” y/n batted her lashes, looking up through them to meet his now widened pupils.
She snorted at his frozen aghast expression, “Calm down Lahey, your eyes might pop out.” y/n winked flirtatiously before catwalking out of the kitchen, a mischievous smirk still on her face, while Isaac stood dumbfounded and fascinated.
Why is the YoI fandom gravitating to Killing Stalking??? I’m not bashing it, but It’s not my cup of tea. Instead (or additionally) you guys should check out Raising a Bat/Bagjwi Sayug. It’s also a webcomic, but this about vampires and misunderstandings. It also deals with themes like abandonment, insecurity, and envy.
The romance between the leads, Min Gyeom and Chun Sam, is slow building (mainly because they’re idiots) but it gets reaaaallly sweet at times. But also it does get dark (cw: cutting, suicide, emotional manipulation)
