look at me w my original posts

Monday 8:27am
I woke up with you on my mind.
You called me babe last night —
my heart is still pounding.

Tuesday 10:53pm
Today I realized we won’t work.
What we are is hurting her.
And I think she matters more to me than you do.

Wednesday 11:52pm
I broke things off with you today.
She barely said a word.
I’ve never regretted anything more than this.

Thursday 4:03pm
I shouldn’t have sent that message.
You shouldn’t have been so okay with receiving it.

Friday 9:57pm
I almost messaged you today.
I didn’t.

Saturday 8:49pm
I’m walking around town in search of alcohol.
They say that liquor numbs the pain of having a broken heart.
I want to put that to the test.

Sunday 2:32am
I heard you texted a girl you’ve never spoken to before.
I wonder if it’s because you’re trying to replace me.
I can’t help but wish you weren’t.
I thought I was irreplaceable.

—  a week with you on my mind, c.j.n.

I was looking through old art and it reminded me that I never uploaded any art from the visual novel I made so I thought why not post the CGs since it’s free anyways. (it’s been so long XP)

I made the game starting like September and then finished late November last year and looking back is so freaking wild. The plot was pretty boring cause I just wanted to make a game with two girls falling in love w/ each other lol

Making a visual novel was definitely an interesting experience~ It was pretty tough figuring everything out and even then there was still so much I could learn.

If there’s any aspiring visual novel people out there Renpy is definitely a program I would recommend as it’s free and fairly easy to use~

(I made an older post about the game so I’m not gonna link it here since this is basically all the important art lol)

Looking back, I can’t remember the truth. I blew everything out of proportion so I could feel the hurt and betrayal and write about it in vivid detail. It was my own method of torture. My own undoing; and I enjoyed every second of it.

melancholyprince replied to your post “eah heads are so bad to me and scaling them up on the 17in maddie just…”

ia and i own that maddie lol she’s not very pretty at all. only got her bc she was like $10. ia about mh ones too. gooliope is great and i think the clawdeen is passably cute but in general they look off.

yeahhhh maddie was…not well executed

w/ mh frankie’s my least favorite of the tall ones which is weird because i like her original face mold the best out of the 3 characters that got made into 17in dolls. and elissabat too but she uses lalas so thats the same vein

SO yesterday someone sent me an ask inquiring after the process whereby I achieve my “stereoscopic” effect. I repsonded w an explanation but the image I made for it didn’t post, so here it is!

So essentially the original image is done in total monochrome, after which I usually copy it to a new layer directly above itself twice and use a luminosity or screen overlay on those two layers to change their respective colours to two at opposite ends of the spectrum, most typically a blue/teal and red/purple to effect the classical “3D” stereoscopic look and evoke some of the RGB distortion I love so much in antiquated film work and VHS recording. THe two new layers are overlaid over eachother, with the one on top set to “Multiply” which results in anywhere the red and blue cross becoming typically a dark black/deep blue, but I occasionally tweak this to generate more vivid blues or even totally different hues depending on the component colours and subsequent overlays. The results can then be slightly tilted or left askew above eachother to generate all kinds of weird effects. I encourage experimentation, this technique was developed thru trial and error and is likely extremely crude and involves way more manual tweaking than is strictly necessary. Find what works for you!
