Grand Trunk Western eastbound #158, the “Maple Leaf” to Toronto, left Dearborn Street Station a few minutes ago and now approaches the N&W (ex-Wabash route to St. Louis) crossing at “Ashburn.” A pair of steam generator equipped GP9’s (4931-4920) are the normal power for GTW passenger trains, and they’re running long-hood-forward as all the early hood units in the CN family were intended to do.
