@mybigfatfitlife, Thanks. I feel better tonight than I did with only having taken ½ of my BP meds and not taking my evening Metformin.
@fitnessgeekandcoffeefreak I will post an update below. I see my doctor on Friday morning but have made some med adjustments myself until I see her. I am pretty sure that I will end up with a reduction to my BP meds, a decrease or total discontinuation of my metformin and a possible decrease in my antidepressants. I will keep you all up to date. I also haven’t used my rescue inhaler for my asthma in over a month.
The results of my final assessment for the health initiative study that I was involved in were good. Not perhaps as good as I would have hoped but all things in time and considering I started as almost sedentary I am still extremely pleased, as is the doctor conducting the study and the kinesiologist. I lost 10lbs total of fat and gained 4lbs of muscle. I lost 1 inch off my waist and 2 inches off my hips. My BMI came down 2.5. My Vo2 score which is the measure of aerobic fitness increased by 5.4% which is huge for me. I can walk at a brisk pace for 30 min and hold a conversation which is another huge milestone and I’ve increased all of my initial weights that I started lifting 2 weeks into the program by 8-10lbs. I can also complete one hour of cardio nonstop.
I have a long way to go but I am determined. The study physician asked me to notify him of any med changes my personal physician makes and requested to continue to follow me as a long term study subject which I agreed to. He thinks I am a good candidate and it pushes me to stay motivated and continue working hard. I will see him again at the end of September. Due to the fact that I am remaining on as a long term study participant I will also have to see the kinesiologist at the end of September for another assessment. I will no longer have to attend classes or sign in at the gym but the results will show wether I have kept up with things in the end.
Here’s to continued workouts and health benefits along with many more changes to come. I do know that I need to work on my diet but I find that particularly difficult with my husband on layoff and no real schedule in the house. I am trying my best with the issues I am facing. Overall I am proud of myself and remain determined to see many more changes. Thank you all for your amazing s community has become an invaluable resource and support system for me on this journey.
Lance pokes fun of Shiro being a merman (not an actual merman unfortunately), and pidge and hunk, defending their father’s honour, dares lance to take some of Shiro’s classes (he teaches people how to become merppl n all that w allura).
Lance takes the dare and finds out this guy from one of his classes, whom he has a one-sided rivalry with, goes for mermaid lessons as well and *insert oh no he’s hot moment here*
anyway there’s lots of pining and swimming and mermaids and keith being obsessed with the mythical merpeople n lance finding it endearing as hell
[edit:] I’m not planning to write this however I will be building upon this au If you wanna write this or whatever could you link it to me? I wanna see it :D
