friendly reminder: just because you didn’t have your first kiss or your first date or your first bf/gf in high school, doesn’t mean it isn’t going to be as special when it finally does happen… take your time and live your life at your own pace and don’t feel bad for it

the boy who lived

Shout out to writers out there spending hours, days, or weeks struggling with their stories - struggling to get the words right, struggling to make the story cohesive, struggling just to write

Shout out to writers who pour a ton of love, devolution and time into a story they’re super proud of and excited to share but end up getting little to no feed back on it

Shout out to writers who feel under appreciated in an environment where creative thinking is highly celebrated but so much of that enthusiasm is geared towards artists that they feel lost in the shadows

Shout out to writers who have quit because they felt their writing wasn’t good enough, because they weren’t getting any feedback, because no matter how much effort they expended, they got the same response they did when they started out

Shout out to writers who work their butts off to get exposure, to get themselves known and still end up with little to no recognition

Shout out to writers who stare down at their keyboard or empty Word document and wonder what the point is

Shout out to writers who continue to write regardless. Shout out to writers who need that support and love to keep writing. Shout out to writers who are told their works suck or they’re a terrible writer, and feel so discouraged they want to stop. Shout to writers who appreciate all notes - whether they’re reblogs or likes. Shout out to writers who get excited every time someone reblogs their fic.

Shout out to writers. To those who can spin out a fic easy, to those who have to spend so many stressful hours in front of a computer screen to just get out a sentence, to those who write original stuff, to those who write fanfiction, to all of those who write. A big, loving shout out to all y’all.

Introducing my friend to Yuzuru Hanyu

Careful, long post incoming. I thought I might warn you :D

So, on thursday my friend was over and we spent a relaxed afternoon together on the couch. We started talking about her ex and then when on to my (non-existing) love life and I said to her: “Well, I have a problem. I have a stupid fan-crush on a japanese figure skater.” She looked at me for a millisecond and then said: “I think japanese men are handsome! And I used to love watching figure skating!” I was sooo excited when she told me! “Do you know Yuzuru Hanyu?” I asked her. She said no, and my hype-modus was actived!
                                               “Hold on a sec!”
I grabbed my laptop and my brain was working so hard thinking about what the hell should I show her first?!?!?!

I thought it would be good to show her Yuzuru off ice first. So I said: “Here, that is him.”

Her. “Omg, he is cute!” Me:”And this is also him…”

I was having a good day until I checked internet and saw the Sungmin/Kangin situation and let me tell you I’m still sobbing as I’m writing this. I literally burst out in tears upon reading the articles, I’m so angry, I’m so heart-broken, I’m just a crying mess.

I had so much hope that the support coming from international ELF from all around the world would do something, and I literally cannot believe that once again, it’s the “ELF” boycotting Super Junior who won.

I’m so tired of those “ELF” boycotting the band, boycotting the members (how many members will it take before they stop???), and ruining what so many ELF have been waiting for; a comeback with almost everyone, after a two-year hiatus. Even though I knew very well Ryeowook and Kyuhyun wouldn’t be there, I was hopeful, because it was obvious to me that everyone would be there - and I’m sure lots of my fellow ELF felt the same.

We’ve been waiting so many years of military service, Super Junior have gone through so much hardships, and now, in 2017, we’re closer than ever to getting the full band back. But no, those people had to go and destroy our dream.

Super Junior, all of them, whether current or ex-members, have my support. I don’t care. They’re all part of Super Junior in my heart and they’ve brought so much happiness to me these past 6 years. So they’ll have my support, and I can only hope for the best in the months, years to come ;;

For the love of anything holy! Do not post a 10k fic without a keep reading! Actually don’t post above 1k without a keep reading please.

I can also tell you that small feature will without a shadow of a doubt increase your number of reblogs. I never ever reblog anything about 1k without it and I know a lot of others feel the same.

constellations of the things we left unsaid

So I heard y’all like R76 fic. Well, here’s one of the best. By @dreamerinsilico, a fellow long-time RPer and headcanon connoisseur, here is a fic that has it all: drama, fluff, angst, hurt/comfort, and some of the best characterization you’ll ever find. If you like what I write at all, you’ll probably like what this writer has to offer too. :>

In lieu of a new illustration this week, I’m posting an oldie but a goodie I had buried in my photoshop files!

Been some time since we’ve seen these boys, but this part of my life I’ll always cherish the community and the creativity and rallying around fellow fans.

Long live the Ghost and Phalanx, and long live the pair that inspired them :)

She started hearing voices her first night on campus. It was a strange college to be sure. All the traditions set her teeth on edge, but something had felt right when she clicked submit, so here she was. And, she was hearing voices. They weren’t the stereotypical, movie version of “crazy” voices, so at least she still had that. No, the voices were more like daydreams. They happened only when she was on the edge of consciousness, when she was almost asleep or almost awake. In the blurring of her conscious and subconscious minds she was able to here the clear, precise instructions. “Be the god they want to believe in.” “Promise them the revolution they will inevitably create.” “Be what they want until their belief makes it true.” It was all said in a cool, light yellowish voice. They, for after her friends boyfriend had been taken and returned she had no trouble believing in the fair folk, spoke to her like clockwork every time she was falling asleep. No matter where she was, no matter the time or circumstances, as she was enveloped by unconsciousness she had no choice but to listen to their counsel. And listen she did. She had journals, secret secret journals, filled with the words she heard. Maybe the fae who favored her didn’t know it, maybe they did, still they told her the history of fae and man. Wars and kings, gods and demons all swirled in her mind. From them she learned the strings of men’s heart and what it was that made fae exist.
It took till senior year for her to begin responding.
“Dear heart, most beautiful voice of my mind, what is it you would like to see?”
That first day she spoke was the only day they did not speak to her. She understood that they were slightly wary of their pawn becoming queen.
The next day they responded, “You are to be the leader of man who knows the hearts of fae.”
“What type of leader shall I be?” She queried.
“Cult, religious, political, it matters not as long as your fellows believe.”
After that they plied her with pretty words and poetry, always skipping around why they wanted her. But, this is where their actions turned against them. She knew enough of fae and man to know they wanted war, chaos, power vacuums to take for their own. They wanted her to start a revolution among men as they did among fae.
She wasn’t completely against the idea.
