Zelda fans have found a huge new timeline clue in ‘Breath of the Wild’

  • The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is home to several familiar locations that you’ll no doubt remember from previous Zelda games.
  • While there’s no official confirmation that the areas are exactly the same place for sure, the similarities are uncanny. That’s particularly true for Lon Lon Ranch, a popular spot in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
  • Breath of the Wild includes ruins that look just like Lon Lon Ranch.
  • This seems to suggest that Breath of the Wild takes places in the same world as Ocarina of Time, just much much later on. Read more (3/16/17 12:07 PM)

BotW things that bring me joy:
  1. Everyone is hot for Link
  2. Prince Sidon’s lil tiny babby leggies
  3. Paya mistakes her crush on Link for an illness and goes around town asking for medicine and so now everyone knows what’s up
  4. Wolf Link is a good boy and I love him
  5. Impa was reserved about telling Link about Paya’s birthmark but as time goes on she just shouts it out for Link and the whole town to hear
  6. Mipha is alive and well (no i’m not in denial just let me have this)
  7. A village was built directly next to Lon Lon Ranch and was named Mabe Village, after the village Marin [who Malon was based off of] lived in
  8. In Mabe Village Ruins you can just barely hear the tune from Link’s Awakening being played very slowly (OK this also makes me sad)
  9. There are landmarks named after characters from Majora’s Mask, another implication that the Hero of Time did indeed make it back safely from Termina and shared his stories of what happened there
  10. The Yiga clan’s obsessive love of bananas
  11. Prince Sidon’s smile god bless
  12. Goron Yaoi Hands
  13. Beedle is convinced you are either
    1.  His stalker
    2. A spouse from a past life
  14. Riding Sidon  ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
  15. Contrary to everyone’s expectations, the romance in BotW was between Link and Mipha god bless these fish
  16. Paya’s first reaction to you is “A MAN?!?!?!?!?!?”
  17. Tingle is not in the game
  18. Seriously though good fucking riddance

My reasoning/evidence for why i personally think BoTW takes place after Twilight Princess… Possible spoilers…
.
.
.
The rock salt could come fromt the ancient sea mentioned in Skyward Sword in the Lanaryu province. In SS you can also obtain the “ancient sea chart”. So it doesnt have to refer to flooded Hyrule in Wind Waker.
Also the Koroks are an alternate sort of default appearance for the Kokiri. They looked like hylian children in OoT to make Link more comfortable, make him fit in…(they did such a good job). So it doesnt have to be the adult timeline for them to look like that.
The ruins of castle town are very similar to the look of castle town in Twilight Princess. A similar fountain and surrounding area. The maps of the two areas line up fairly well.
The ruins of Lon Lon Ranch… Its seriously exactly the same layout. The track is there, the gate…kind of sad really…
She mentions Skyward Sword (skyward bound), Ocarina of Time (adrift in time), and twilight princess(steeped in the glowing embers of twilight).
There is probably more evidence to confirm and deny this.. But its what i want to believe..until further notice.
