lol rachel berry

  • Rachel: extrovert teenage girl, born in a liberal family, whose parents have been taking her to dance, acting and singing lessons since she was in diapers. Although she can be a total cutie, she tends to not to care about other people (including her friends) feelings so she can get what she wants. Her family fully supports her dream of becoming a Broadway star which makes it easier for her (even if she has a really high goal) to achieve it. Gets a lot of second opportunities. She finally wins a Tony, as the main role her husband gave her.
  • Mike: shy teenage boy, born in a conservative family, whose parents want him to get a “real job” instead of being a dancer. Lets everyone take the spotlight away from him, even at his last school year. He is forced to get the highest marks because if he doesn’t, he will be taking away from dancing. His family atmosphere gets very tense after he auditions for the school’s musical. He gets to express his feelings to his mother who encourages him to do what he wants. After a lot of struggle, his father realized what the boy’s real passion is and lets him be an artist. He is given a scholarship to attend the Joffrey Ballet school in Chicago, and fulfills his dream of becoming a dancer.
  • Rachel: *is considered the most inspirational character ever*
  • Mike: *gets ignored by the entire fandom*
  • what she says: i'm fine
  • what she means: why didnt faberry ever happen? quinn was obviously so in love with rachel. in season one, theres a shot of quinn drawing an ugly drawing of rachel and yet she adds hearts around it? rachel always looked out for quinn, especially during the pregnancy. she gave away a pair of her panties just so the school paper wouldnt write about quinn being pregnant. in season two, in the scene at prom where quinn slaps rachel across the face, she feels so sorry afterwards. and even though shes just besn slapped, rachel wipes away quinns tears and holds her hand. like what the hell? when rachel wants to get her nose job, quinn is the only one who takes her seriously. shes the one who goes with rachel to the plastic surgeon and is supportive of rachel's decision. plus, it was quinn's nose that rahcel wanted. and in season three, quinn says the words "you were singing to finn, and only finn, right?" like she wants rachel to be singing to someone else, ie, her. how gay can you be quinn fabray? and quinn is so adamant about not wanting rachel to marry finn. she tells rachel that shes a star and doesnt need to hang onto the boys in high school, that she needs to let go and be her own person. quinn is the only person who truly recognizes rachels talents and capabilities and appreciates her drive and ambition. plus, quinn gives rachel metro passes so that the two of them can keep in touch. after giving her the passes, the two hug, and the pain in quinn's eyes is so clear. her gay little heart was in love with rachel throughout the entire series and yet it was never explored.
So Rachel thinks that Kurt is afraid to be a real adult?

Let’s take a look and see who is the adult and who is the spoiled child.

Kurt: Lost his mother before he was 10 years old. Worked part-time in his father’s shop growing up. Took care of his father. Dealt with his father’s nearly fatal heart attack that left him comatose and completely alone in the world. Cared for his father during Burt’s convalescence. Had multiple threats made to his safety and well-being over a period of years, including harrassing phone calls and vandalism of his home. Had a death threat made against him that was seen as credible enough to force him to transfer schools. Rejected by his dream school. Left for NY with no school, no job and no real prospects. Built a life for himself with no real help. Worked multiple jobs and gained admission to NYADA. Dealt with his father’s cancer diagnosis. Dealt with the death of his step-brother and helped his step-mother handle all the practical matters, like packing away Finn’s belonging.

Now… name me one thing that Rachel has accomplished since the pilot that didn’t involve enormous help along the way. Whether from her two doting fathers who gave her everything, or teachers and fellow students and friends (of which Kurt is most notable) who bent over backwards to help carry Rachel to where she is today. That she would not have her dream role if it hadn’t been for Kurt actually signing her up for the auditions and encouraging and supporting her every step of the way.

And this brat has the nerve to call Kurt out? Fuck her.

Somehow, I don’t think Glee realizes that we would all be supporting Rachel if she had to drop out of NYADA or lost her job on Broadway because of something like an injury, a family emergency, a medical emergency, an illness, or just a deep level of grief following Finn’s death. We could all yell at her that she should have done things differently, but she would have either lost it all because of life or she would be too blinded by depression to concentrate.

No.
She yelled at Carmen Tibideaux in the face when Carmen warned her that she couldn’t just act like a diva and that she shouldn’t take NYADA for granted. When she was told by Sydney (a man who had always favored her and adored her) that if she pulled a stunt like leaving the Broadway show unprofessionally again he’d blacklist her, she left. She made those choices, Kurt tried to reason with her and show logic, but those choices were made extremely clear to the viewer. They were literally spelled out in the script.

We are not here to watch a girl get everything she ever dreamed of because she uses people, abuses friendships, manipulates the systems, and gives up on things because “she is bored”.

If she were in LA this story might be different. If Rachel had lost everything because of grief and depression when facing Finn’s death, the story WOULD be different.

Sometimes I think about the fact that 4-time National show choir champion and king of my heart Jesse St. James didn’t get into NYADA

But Rachel choked-at-her-audition Berry did.

everytime I see Rachel berrys face I feel the urge to vomit all over her hair she’s the worst character in the history of characters but of course all her stans think she’s a precious angel sent from above lmao and they justify her gross behavior by calling it “ambition” yeah right tAke off the blindfold for a second and open your damn eyes- she’s a huge turd plain and simple.

I have to get this off my chest...

I just have a lot of feelings that I seriously need to get out before I burst. This rant is not Rachel/Lea so yeah. I am seriously becoming more and more pissed at how completely one sided Glee has because in this last season. I know the show started off by putting Rachel as the best, and Lea has always gotten the most screen time. It is simply a fact.

And to be honest I don’t hate Rachel and I like Lea but I feel like Rachel scenes that I don’t want are being shoved in my face and making me completely irritated at the character. Let’s go through all the evidence:

1. Rachel gets all the best solos, and yes she is talented, but Glee set a precedent from the beginning of her being “the best” when there was a group of equally as talented people. I’m so used to it that now I just roll my eyes when she has 1,2,3 solos in episodes and other characters go a long time without one. It’s just NOT true that she was the best voice for every single solo she had. It’s just not true.

2. Rachel gets EVERYTHING!
And don’t try to tell me that I’m exaggerating because I’m really NOT. One she always gets the guys she want. With the exception of Finn/Cory’s death which was of course heartbreaking, Rachel has always gotten a happy ending with a guy she wants. She wanted to get in NYADA and she got it, she got to be in the Winter Showcase, she got her dream role on Broadway, and she got her own tv pilot. Have any of the other characters had equally as much success getting every single thing they wanted?

3. Rachel ruined everything for herself!
She got into the best school in the country for musical theatre which she gave up for her dream Broadway role, which she gave up to be a TV star. And all of the first episode of season 6 was spent on Rachel moping about how her dreams of stardom was gone and how she would get her mojo back. She needed Mr. Schu, Blaine, AND Kurt to convince her that she would be able to move on. Which brings me to to my next point:

4. Everyone Kisses Her Ass!
Rachel screwed up her life because of her own selfish impulses and now everyone is helping to get her dream back. Mercedes came back to town and she helped Rachel get an audition, the whole New Directions/alumni sang a song to encourage her, and this is only one example. And in the most recent episode everyone encouraged her when she got another Broadway show she didn’t earn and again when she got accepted back in NYADA though of course she wants to skip school AGAIN.

I’m just so over Glee a.k.a. The Rachel Berry Show. I’ve loved this show so much and it feels all these convoluted storyline are just being forced down our throats. The thing is that Rachel is going to get everything she dreamed of. She’s getting her ex boyfriend Jesse St. James back and in the future they are married, she wins a Tony, and is pregnant and it is probably her baby with Jesse. And where is everyone else? Supporting and cheering her on of course.

Compare this overindulgence to what has happened to Klaine this season. Like it or not they have a huge fanbase, which is proved for one by the countless polls we win, charity’s we support, eat…and look at their story this season compared to Rachel. They were engaged and happy and so naturally RIB had to break them up instead of having them work through their problems in a mature and adult manner. Then Blaine got a boyfriend in the man who once used to torture Kurt even though I know he’s redeemed himself.

Not only that but Blaine was so depressed he was kicked out of school and having nothing better to do he works at Dalton. The utterly ridiculous thing is that nobody has talked to Blaine about trying to get a second chance to go to NYADA. It’s all Rachel. Not even Kurt talks to him about it. And Chris and Darren have hardly sang this season, wtf? Not to mention that when Klaine got married it was an afterthought and extremely rushed. We had lots of time dealing with Santana’s Abuela and Brittany’s annoying parents and hardly nothing about Blaine’s Mom and her reaction to having her son getting married spontaneously. Like what the actual fuck?

And then Darren wrote two songs for Glee and one is a group number and guess who sings the other? Yup, Rachel again. I don’t understand how the writers can mistreat all their characters and favor a select few all the time. They’ve wasted the final season of what was once an amazing show. And I gave the example of Klaine but seriously this mistreatment goes for several characters and ships. And tell me this RIB, why are you so focused on Samchel if St.Berry is endgame. You are confusing as fuck, Glee!
