**kicks down the door** BETTER ARTISTS ARE A MYTH.

ART IS

 SUBJECTIVE.

DON’T COMPARE YOURSELF TO OTHER ARTISTS IN A NEGATIVE LIGHT.

DO LEARN TO RECOGNIZE THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN YOU AND THEM AND IDENTIFY HOW YOU’VE IMPROVED SOMETIMES INSTEAD OF HOW YOU’VE FAILED.  CONSTANT NEGATIVE SELF CRITICISM WILL GET YOU NO WHERE.

DON’T BEAT YOURSELF UP OVER BEING “NOT AS GOOD” AS OTHERS, OR SAY “IM NEVER GOING TO BE AS GOOD AS YOU.”

DO ATTEMPT TO LEARN FROM OTHERS. TAKE APART THE ART YOU LIKE. FIND OUT WHAT ABOUT IT MAKES YOU LIKE IT. ASK YOUR FAVORITE ARTISTS QUESTIONS. INVESTIGATE. SEE HOW YOU CAN TAKE WHAT YOU LIKE AND APPLY IT TO YOUR OWN ART.

EVERYONE LEARNS AT DIFFERENT RATES AND HAS A DIFFERENT WAY OF THINKING,

OF COURSE YOUR ART IS GOING TO LOOK DIFFERENT,
