So, could you tell us why jasper is your favorite character?
WHY, IM SO GLAD YOU ASKED
buckle up kiddos theres a whooooooole lotta reasons lol
FIRST, shes super tall and strong and attractive (oof her voice too am i right) and im super gay. how could i resist a giant fluffy lady who could snap me like a tooth pick but wouldnt because she doesnt ever seriously hurt anyone unnecessarily??? i mean COME ON shes like the DREAM
SECOND, shes got a lot of complex feelings brewing beneath the surface and shes always giving us little hints that shes struggling to cope with a really fucking hard life that shes been dealt. like, we know shes been fighting, rejected, alone, and basically grieving for her diamond for basically the entirety of her existence.
THIRD, i guess kinda tmi but not really, i relate to her a lot?? im kind of a big and intimidating looking person irl and people tend to judge me based on that a lot. like, its kinda the same with jasper, “oh she cant be hurting that much, look how big/strong she is” or “shes just lashing out because shes mean spirited” rather than, gosh, you know maybe being afraid and alone and trying to protect herself from further pain in the only way she knows how?
LIKE! honestly shes been through SO MUCH and has clearly been suffering for so long, and all we’ve seen in the show is her having to cope with MORE FAILURE. im sure that her trying to compensate for her perceived failures is the root of most of her flaws in the first place! so it frustrates me when people just place her in a “villain/evil” box instead of actually thinking about the reasoning for her actions. of course shes going to be aggressive and defensive when shes faced with what she sees as constant failure and rejection and not having anyone help her out of a self-blaming thought cycle.
I JUST LOVE HER SO MUCH AND I HAVE SO MANY FEELINGS ABOUT HER WOW!!! so tl;dr shes hot and im gay, shes got a lot of complex stuff goin on that we have yet to see, and i feel very protective of her because i relate to her experiences of being pitted as a villain for her appearance/defensive actions
HAHA THIS GOT VERY PASSIONATE AND HEATED SORRY LOL i really just care a lot abt her 💦💦💦

You knew you shouldn’t be doing this. Especially over the phone. You had just seen each other two weeks ago, everything was fine. The voice in the back of your head was begging you to hang up, hang up now, please dear god, just hang up.
“I should’ve known you wouldn’t be here. You can’t even make time for me, you’re so selfish.” A small gasp passed your lips through the receiver as your brain racked over the venom he had spit at you. Me? The selfish one?
“Excuse me?” Your voice was quiet. As though you couldn’t actually believe what he had just said. You couldn’t even think of a response. The knot that had begun to bubble up in your throat pulled itself tighter, suffocatingly tight, as you held back the angry tears that threatened to pass your eyes.
“I’ll give you a call- oops, sorry I didn’t mean to interrupt.” Shit. He probably heard that. You hadn’t wanted him to know you were even at the doctors, you hadn’t wanted him to know anything until you were sure.
Silence filled the phone line. “Who the fuck is that.” His voice, now quieter than before, still held the same venom from earlier. You quickly excused yourself, thanking the nurse, before walking out the door towards your car.
“Dolph, listen to me-” before you could even explain, you were cut off.
“No, you listen. I get pushed aside, but you’re out with some other guy?!” A paused filled the air yet again, as your lungs tried desperately to grasp at the air around you, don’t say what you’re going to say, think about this, think about us, please, please, don’t leave me alone. “I think we need to take a break.” Time stopped. The drumming of your fingers against the steering wheel came to a halt. The echos from the parking garage surrounding you began to mush together. You felt sick.
The noises coming from the other end of the phone brought you back down to earth, knowing Dolph had been at the stadium, you assumed it was time for his match. The one he had asked you to come to just hours ago.
“Dolph, wait, please don’t go. Please, just listen to me.” A deep sigh filled your ear drums, before the phone clicked, leaving you alone with the sound of the dial tone. “D-dolph?” You whispered, knowing full well there would be no answer. You shakily released the phone from your grip, ignoring the noise as it clacked onto the car floor. You rubbed at your eyes, wanting nothing to be in the comfort of your own home before crying. Stop. Stop it. Breathe. Get the keys in. No more, stop. Stop shaking, dammit! You threw your keys into the passenger seat next to you, your hands balling up to grip at your hair tightly, as a wail ripped itself past your lips. What were you going to do. You need to breathe. Stop thinking about it, just stop! Your hand released itself from its grip, as you beat against the steering wheel relentlessly.
You took a deep breathe. You would be fine. You would text Becky or AJ or Dean or someone, someone would tell you his hotel number. You would see him. Talk it out. It’s fine.
You slowly retrieved your keys from the seat next to you, refusing to make eye contact with the nurse who you assumed was on break from the cigarette placed between her fingers. Your keys missed their place a few times, as it took everything you had just to focus long enough to get them in. To get out of this dark, stuffy garage.
You sighed as you yet again hung up the phone, after it going straight to voicemail. It had been hours since the fight, no trailing to around 11 at night. Your hands starting shaking yet again, as you dialed Becky’s number, knowing she would help you. She had to. Please. Anything. Her cheerful response had shown you that Dolph hadn’t told anyone, no one had known yet, thank God, you could fix this, this wasn’t broken.
Room 215. Your feet moved on their own, locating your shoes and coat before jogging out to your car, the keys jingling as they excitedly unlocked the door, promising that things were going to be okay. It was you and Dolph against the world, you could fix this, he loves you. The rushing thoughts that had been flying around had stopped at that one. Does he? You sat in front of the hotel for what seemed like ages, before some power took over your body.
You smiled gently at the lady at the front desk, as you calmly asked her where the room had been. The sad smile she had placed on her face hadn’t phased you, as she gave you directions, your feet moving after a small thank you left you lips. The elevator dinged as the doors shut, locking you alone in the small space. You begun to whisper a small pep talk to yourself, it would be okay. It would be okay. As the doors opened on the floor, you stood for a second, your own hand finally reaching out to stop the doors before the shut yet again. One last deep breathe, you’re strong, you love him, he loves you. Before you had time to register that you had stopped in front of the door, your hand knocked itself gently against the door. A few seconds later, the door swung open.
“Hello?” A young woman stood, wearing a very revealing red dress, causing you to pull on the end of your shirt nervously.
“Shit, I’m sorry, I must have the wrong room num-” your voice cut itself as you heard him. His voice. He was there.
“Is it room service? Just tell them to go away,” he swung around the corner, his eyes immediately meeting yours. Run. You need to leave. Get out, get out, get out. His mouth opened and closed and opened and closed with you just standing there, god dammit, why weren’t you moving, watching him as he tried to register that you were there. You had seen what he was about to do.
It clicked. Why she had given you a small smile. She knew. She knew. The pit in your stomach began to fill with vile, and you immediately turned, your feet moving fast than before, back to the elevator, slamming on the button, too slow, it’s not going fast enough, just open, open! Your ears perked up hearing him, how dare he, how dare he.
“Shit, get out,” You could visualize him pushing her out of the room now.
“What the fuck man?” She screeched back at him, as you heard the door slam shut, and a rushed ‘babe, wait, I can explain.’ You needed to get away, help, run. Your eyes drifted towards the stairs, being thankful that you had chosen to wear flats, you ran towards the stairwell, almost flying down each step. Get away, you need to get away, run faster, he’s going to catch up. You ran past the girl yet again, seeing her mouth a quick ‘I’m sorry.’ You heard the door slam open from behind you, indicating that he had followed you, he was close.
You suddenly heard a crash, turning quickly to see Dolph had tripped over a broomstick that had been thrown in front of him.
You would have to thank the girl later. She was your savior. Thank you, thank you. You ran past, ripping the car door open, before speeding away, seeing Dolph run out as you flew by. Stop crying. Stop. Your hands took control as all different levels of emotion ran through your veins, pulling you to the nearest payphone.
You left the safety of your car, realization setting in that you had left your cellphone at your apartment, the apartment he had shared with you, he had a key. He would go there. You couldn’t go back. Not now, not tonight. You pulled on the phone, dialing the only number your fingers had remembered by heart, a groggy 'hello,’ being the first thing you hear.
“Mom,” You whispered, tears brimming, threatening to fall, as you could hear her shuffling out of bed. “Mommy, I need help.” All resolve broke, as you sat against the wall of the payphone, clutching the phone as it was your only life line.
“Sweetheart, we’re on our way, tell me where you are baby.” Worry. She was worried. She didn’t know. No one knew. “Do you need me to call Dolp-”
“No!” You immediately barked, as your shout died down into little chants of the word. Please, help, I can’t breathe. “I- I’m at a payphone, shit, um i-it’s by that old diner, the one we used to go to, the-” your ramblings stopped short as your mother’s gentle voice shushed you down.
“Stay on the phone with me, we will be there in 5 minutes, you’re okay, breathe.” She whispered, you could hear the car in the background, they were coming, you would be okay.
“I’m scared,” You whispered, mostly to yourself. “Dolph and I got into a fight. And I- he… t-there was someone else in the room. I can’t, it won’t get out of my head!” Another wail ripped itself away from you, as you could hear your mother tell your step-father to hurry up.
You saw headlights pull quickly up to the side of your car, your mother quickly stepping out, only to collapse down next to you and wrap you in her arms. You began to sob into your mother’s chest, trying to grasp onto her tighter.
No words were exchanged as your stepfather drove your car back to their house. Empty tears continued their trail down your cheeks, as you sat in the passenger seat of your mother’s car, knowing she had still been watching you from the front door, as she had been for the past 20 minutes.
The second your body fell onto its old bed, your eyes closed, memories of the past few years you had been with Dolph.
Shit, she’s not here, where is she, dammit! He threw his phone at the wall, knowing he had fucked up, he fucked up. He looked down at your cellphone, the screen drowning in missed calls and voicemails. He picked up your cellphone gently, as if it had someway been imitating you. A voicemail from a different number. He shouldn’t be nosy. Why was he being like this. He entered your password, pressing the phone to his ear. Anger filled his body as he heard the voice from earlier on the other end. As he listened to the message, however, he was filled with grief. Regret. Your tests results had come back positive.
You were pregnant. With his child.
Shaky hands released the phone, before he fell to his knees, wrapping his arms around his head, angry tears spilling down his face.
He had to find you, shit, he had to tell you he loved you, that nothing had happened, it had all been a dumb joke made by AJ to make Dolph “feel better.” He was just being a jack ass. No one was supposed to know about the fight. Why was he behind me, shit, why him?!
You were waken up, as the sounds of banging filled the house. You heard the shuffling of your mother’s feet slipping through the house as she made her way for the door.
“Hello Mrs. Parker.” He was here. He sounded broken. His voice groggy. “I-is she here.” It wasn’t a question. He knew, dammit, he knew you were here.
“I need you to leave.” Your mother spoke, resentment filling her voice.
“May, please. Please, i- shit, I know this looks bad, but, I j-just, I can explain everything, please.” It was enough. You had heard enough. Your mother turned at the sounds of your angry foot steps. You gently touched her shoulder, mouthing a simple 'it’s okay,’ before she turned, leaving the two of you alone.
You locked eyes with his tear filled ones, before pulling him to the front porch, closing the door behind you.
“Was she good?” You whispered, the image of the making love replaying itself in your head. His head whipped over to you.
“W-what the hell are you talking about?! We didn’t do anything, I wouldn’t do something like that!” He was not going to turn this on you. You glared up at him.
“Oh, I see, but I would?” You had remembered him being angry earlier. Your question immediately shut him up, as he looked down towards his feet.
“I know you wouldn’t.. I- I was just stressed and.. I took it out on you.” He whispered, anger filling your system. He thinks that is an acceptable excuse. You scoffed, beginning to pull away, his hand reaching out to gently pull you back.
“I know,” it came out quickly, what did he know? “You got a call from your doctor. I heard the message.” Anger. Rage.
“You went through my phone?” You wanted to scream, push him, make him go away. His breath caught in his throat, his eyes shooting up towards your face.
“I just wanted to find where you were.” He whispered, guilt filling his insides.
“What did he say.” You whispered, looking up at him. He stood silent for a while, moving his arms, before pinning them back down at his sides.
This shouldn’t be happening like this. This wasn’t your dream, you had wanted this to be a happy moment and now? Your eyes widened, tears falling down your face. What were you going to do now. “Listen, please, listen to me.” Your eyes trailed back to his face. It was like looking at a mirror, both of you broken. “I- I didn’t do anything with her.”
“Then why was she with you.” The anger from your voice had melted. You felt empty inside.
“AJ heard me. And he thought it would be funny, sending a girl up to my room.” You scoffed yet again.
“Go away Dolph.” You felt small. The world had won. It had taken everything from you. “I said, go away.” A little louder. You turned slamming the door behind you, leaving Dolph alone.
If she wouldn’t believe me, I’d have to make her see. The second he had gotten back to the damned hotel, the second he saw AJ’s smug face, he practically drug him through the lobby and into his rental car.
“What the fuck?!” AJ barked, going to pull on the handle, as the doors locked.
“You son of a bitch, this is all your fault.” Dolph was fuming. “You’re going to fix this.” The confusion on AJ’s face melted from confusion to triumph.
“That actually worked?” He chuckled, running a hand through his hair. He buckled himself in, snuggling himself into the seat. “Alright, take me away.”
Knocking again filled the house, you ripping yourself from your bed before your mother could. This wasn’t fair to her. You knew it wasn’t. You had to finish this. When you practically ripped open the door, the confusion on your face was evident. There in front of you was the one and only AJ Styles.
“Can I help you?” You leaned against the door frame.
“Don’t get mad at goldilocks here. It was me. I heard y'alls argument. And well, the opportunity was just too good to pass up! Paid the girl hundred bucks to go up. Told her to be persistent. She really earned that money.” He chuckled, before looking back at you, fear filling his body. “Okay, come on darlin’, you gotta admit, it was good.” He begun to back away slowly, before running to the rental car and locking himself in. You looked over at Dolph, who was still sitting in the drivers side of the car. You nodded towards him, before going inside the house to grab your shoes and a jacket.
Your mom met you halfway, whispering a bit of good luck, and giving you a quick hug. “Call me if you need me to come get you.”
When you went back outside, Dolph was leaning against your car, and the rental AJ was in was now barreling down the road. You silently handed Dolph the keys as he held the passenger door open for you. You didn’t know where he was taking you, but neither one of you dared to speak. When the car had finally come to a halt, he was the first to get out, rushing to your side to open the door.
You remembered this park. After your first date, the two of you somehow ended up here. You let out a light laugh as you drifted towards the swingset. First kiss. Your fingers traced gently over the faded red seat, before you found your place on it, your fingers wrapping around the metal holding the swing up.
“I love you,” Dolph whispered, as he found his place on the swing next to you, looking over at you.
“I love you too.” You whispered back, fingers fidgeting as you had wanted desperately to just hold his hand. “So, I’m pregnant.” You spoke, the confidence leaving you just as fast as it had filled you up. He let out a chuckle, kicking his feet a bit.
“Yeah, yeah you are.” A smile found its way to your lips, as you looked over at him. “Am I allowed to hug you?” His voice cracked a bit, a sad smile lifting on his face. The second you nodded, he lifted you from the swing, taking you in his arms. “We’re gonna have a baby,” he placed his lips against yours gently, as if testing the waters. “A little you,” he placed another kiss on your lips. You giggled in delight, soaking in the moment you had been dreaming of. He set you down on your feet, resting his forehead against yours. “I’m sorry. I’m so sorry.” He broke, tears rolling down his cheeks. “This never would’ve happened if I hadn’t-” You cut him off, placing your lips to his.
“You’re okay. I’m okay. We’re okay. Everything is okay.” You whispered, unsure of who it was you were trying to reassure more. The two of you stood there, breathing each other in for a few more minutes.
“Alright, let’s go home, you can’t get sick.” Dolph whispered, intertwining his fingers with yours before tugging you towards the car. Before you could say anything, he read your mind. “I’ll grab my things tomorrow. I just want to be in our bed, with you.” After this day, you had wanted nothing more. He was home. Everything was okay. Breathe. Breathe.
