Snowdon Over The Pier

A rare monochrome shot from me! This time looking towards the Snowdon/Yr Wyddfa massif across Llyn Llydaw reservoir as the snow storm blows in.

GUISE. Just to let you know there will be some silence from me for the next few days as we’re heading up to Edinburgh for my birthday! I will be celebrating thirty-two years on this particular planet by eating delicious food, drinking wonderful whisky, and photographing the best that Edinburgh has to offer. =)

Llyn Llydaw, Snowdonia, Wales.

ISO100, f/13, ½sec @ 13mm (19.5mm full-frame equiv.) This is a manual blend of two exposures, one for the foreground and one for the sky, with the final processing (including black and white conversion) mostly done in GIMP.

If you like the way my photos look, I have a free HDR photography tutorial using free and open-source software, so it costs you nothing!

Full-res versions of the photo for personal PC/mobile wallpaper use, as well as enquiries for prints, are available by request, just ask me.
