I don’t live the life of a normal child.
Jasons flower is the Daisy. It symbolizes innocence and purity while also conveying loyal love.
His feelings are conflicted. As a boy on his way to adulthood struggling with his own emotions and the changes his body is going trough while also having to deal with his rage, frustration and sadness directed at his parents and their divorce. Being stuck in the middle and not having a loud enough voice to be heard. Still his love for his parents is undying and unconditional. He helps them trough hard times just by being there.
Daisies also symbolize a new beginning, a new life. In Jasons case, as a man.
Yet the situation Jason finds himself in still has an impact on his behaviour and coping mechanism which explains the flowers growing out of his ears. His intelligence and logic are used to defend himself from his harmful surroundings.
He’s blocking them out and isolates himself to understand his conplicated feelings towards growing up and to properly cope with his internal struggle.
