Quick concept sketch and color.
This is Bambaşka, a Kangal, who is a livestock guardian dog. She’s the main protagonist in my story Black Frost. She is hopelessly in love with Blazing Sunset, whose faults she refuses to acknowledge, and finds herself more and more intruiged by the wolf’s murderous propensities to the point where she feels the inexplicable urge to participate in said activities, if only to become closer to Blazing Sunset…or so she tells herself.
I like the way the goats and sheep have eaten holes into the big hay bale we rolled up to their pen. The chickens aren’t anywhere near the pen but on warmer days they cross the yard to look for spilled grain.
