SWANKY DANK reuniting with MY FIRST STORY again for Swanky Playground 2017

SWANKY DANK to have this big event to celebrate their 10th anniversary at the THREE Tsutaya Livehouses namely O-EAST, O-WEST and O-CREST.

Would you just look at the lineup? \(◎o◎)/ My Swanky gentlemen to play twice. My boys AIR SWELL are in at the last minute. Then as expected, Crystal Lake and MY FIRST STORY!

m(_ _)m

I know they’ll be performing Monster and Sink Like A Stone on the same stage that day. This is the dream concert that I cannot go to ….

(T_T)

So, I’ll just console myself with this flashback photo of SD and MFS at Sendai Macana back in 2014. That’s Nob on bass. The special moment between them that I still haven’t got to see Live.

my dogmatic tour experience - long ass post bc i can

So today it passes exactly a year since I attended GazettE’s live in Munich. Boi oh boi the time flies by quickly. And I used to think like “oh these memories are going to be mine oh mine” but honestly I want to share them before they fade away.
First of all I would like to say I met so many amazing people there. Many, many nice fans who you could talk to and share thought with. I was at the livehouse around 12 pm so I had like a lot of time to wait but honestly it was as good as the concert itself. I didn’t regret travelling my ass for 12 hours by bus to see them (i meet dope girl on the bus as well tho, still keep in touch)
And the Uruha’s birthday thing was even more fun. Few girls were walking around with a book that everyone could sign. Cute. There were so many people younger than me and being in a fandom for like 2-3 years i felt like a dinosaur.

But let me procced to meet&shit i mean greet what. There was like literally 20 seconds you’ve had to spend with each member but hooooooly shit it was too much to handle 4 my heart anyway. Honestly yall who hasnt meet them irl. They smol. Really. I must note I was one of thw last people who entered the m&g room. They looked kind of tired. First was Aoi and i gotta admit he is hot. His hand was still injured so he shook with the left one so it was kind of awkward but cute. He is definitely handsome. Then i went to Reita and damn. His English is actually pretty good. But that mask of his… it looked so weird irl. His thumb is honestly so creepy. Ruki. OH BOI. I was emotionally fine until i looked into Ruki’s eyes and I started crying. Yeah. I actually did. I know Im a trash ok. But Ruki smiled at me and he is soooooooo cute i wanted to pierce my eyes for crying. Ruki tho just put his 2nd hand when he saw i was crying and smiled. KAI. That bastard. I reached my hand to shake his and Kai was like “whaaaaat? The fuck is that?” I was still a mess after Ruki and that bastard just laughed at my hands. Okay I am 5'0 (150 cm) and my hands are small. But Kai was like literally laughing at the size of my hands. Loser. Let me tell you something about Uruha. He is acutally so so soooo manly irl. I mean his arms and his body. Sign. Me. The. Fuck Up. Hooooo man. He was trying to look so cool-looking and all but he also smiled at me bc I was still in tears. The gig itself was great. It wasn’t like the best concert I’ve ever been to but it was really good. My neck hurt for like a week after this gig I headbanged so hard. And singing happy birthday to Uruha with all te fans in the livehouse was so cute and amazing. I was on the side of a stage where Uruha plays. He was such a tease during live. [Btw Ruki and his lantern-licking porn during Nihil. Hooooo bitch I was on the verge of heartattack.] I actually had some good time drinking in Munich after the concert. Plus I was supposed to be back the day after concert in my city to attend an exam. Guess what that didn’t work out. Actualy my way back home was so screwed up. I mean a guy in Berlin Bus Station borrowed me 1.50 € for my ticket even though I didnt ask him. The travel to home was crazy. I visited 2 cities I didn’t plan to. Amazing experience. I hope one day they will come back to Europe with new songs (btw Deux live mmmmmm 10/10).

anonymous asked:

Hey! I found your blog recently and I also just started listening to MFS and I really like their music. I'm a bit lost as to where to start to learn more about them and their motivation/thoughts behind their music since it's been a couple years since they've debuted. What would you suggest?

Hello (^^)v Welcome to the fandom.

I’m guessing you probably discovered them through their more popular songs like ALONE, 不可逆リプレイス or the more recent ones like Missing You. Firstly, too many people get caught up in singer Hiro’s family relations and ignore the other members. So, I would highly encourage a new fan to NOT follow that crowd XD

There are basically 4 aspects to MFS that all fans need to know OR you won’t understand the band and what diehard fans talk about:

1. Band members & the personnel changes.
2. Their musical roots especially the main songwriter Sho Tsuchiya + their twin band named fromus.
3. Hiro’s lyrics in relations to his life story.
4. The important people in their team especially their boss GEN, A&R exec KTR (Kentaro Suzuki) from Japan Music System (JMS) & circle of friends. Also, their earliest mentor K ( Kei Goto) the late singer of Pay Money To My Pain (PTP).

BAND MEMBERS

1. Sho Tsuchiya ~ leader, guitarist, main composer (currently only functions behind the scene & as a non-touring member)
2. Nob @ Nobuaki Katou ~ bassist
3. Teru @ Teruki Nishizawa ~ guitarist (many like to categorize him as rhythm guitarist when Sho was in but I personally disagree because he played both lead & rhythm guitars even from the 1st album)
4. Kid'z ~ drummer (officially joined on 3 Mar 2016)
5. Hiro @ Hiroki Moriuchi ~ vocalist, lyricist
6. Masack @ Masaki Kojima ~ drummer (officially left on 3 Mar 2016)

Note:
MFS current members “deactivated" from public social media in early 2016. So, don’t bother looking XD

PERSONNEL CHANGES

Sho’s hiatus:
Sho remains as a member. He announced his hiatus in October 2015. I won’t call it “inactive" like some people do because he’s still composing with them and most recently served as the Sound Producer for ANTITHESE. He’s just not a touring member for now. He didn’t give specific reason other than family matter.

Drummer change:
Masaki didn’t state why he left but it looked like he didn’t want to be tied down to only one genre of music. He was active playing outside MFS before his departure. So, he probably wanted that musical freedom even though he loves MFS. But his decision was enough to badly crush the two youngest members at the time, Hiro and Teruki, from what I observed. Those two younger men were still emotionally dealing with Sho’s hiatus at that moment.

Kid'z is their friend / labelmate who had always got along well with Teru & Hiro. He had worked together with Sho & Nob before too. Co-incidentally, his band officially split up in Nov 2015. So, he was the natural choice to replace Masaki. But Kid'z was drumming as a sessionist musician for singer ナノ(nano) at the time MFS took him. He stopped using his real name and took on a stage name Kid'z* after that.

* I personally don’t use his real name in public anymore out of respect for his decision. Understandably, he was initially worried about MFS fans’ reaction. Also, it was and probably still is an awkward situation for him regarding his former bandmates when their band split up and he went to their biggest rival band just a few months later. So, I chose to respect his wish to start anew.

THEIR BEGINNING

On my blog so far, the interview that tells their formation year story the most is this one from GEKIROCK.

MFS GEKIROCK Interview March 2016 Translation

The band did describe how they got together in this video interview around minutes 01:42 to 02:58.

My Japanese listening ability is not up to that point yet though, sorry. Hiro explained how he and Sho met at a PTP concert. Couldn’t catch what Sho said about Hiro & Masaki with the music playing in the background :-/ Hiro also said he and Teru knew each other when they were high school students. Well, the GEKIROCK interview is a pretty good picture of their history.

THEIR TWIN BAND fromus

Ignore whatever musical comparison people made about them and OOR. The real band to compare MFS to is their real twin band fromus, a piano-rock unit. I made an entry about them here.

http://japanessie.tumblr.com/post/140215899677/meet-fromus-mfs-real-twin-band

I personally feel that musically, MFS first two albums are the direct guitar edition fromus. Just take MFS, change the singer & then the guitars to piano. You’ll get fromus.

OTHER MUSICAL INFLUENCES

They do have influences from old school hard rock & metal. Sho and Nob are already in their 30s. Both men said they started on guitar with British rock legend Deep Purple’s Smoke On The Water. Guitarist Teruki grew up with a heavy-metal-music-loving father and would often cite Ozzy Osbourne and Metallica as his early influences.

Hiro called 虚言NEUROSE creation process as “creating a human-like superhero" & the sound as “listening to the radio in the city“. Does that make any sense to you? LOL. Read what he said in this interview:

Hiro’s Interview with Rockin’ On Japan magazine Jan 2015

HIRO’s LYRICS

Sho let Hiro be in charge of lyrics writing from the start (from an interview for Yamaha Music).

Hiro comes from a famous family thanks to his parents and his successful brother. As a result, he was heavily thrashed on the internet by people who disliked his “easy entry” into the music industry. Hiro used to be very active on Twitter but the criticism against him soon turned into cyber-bullying. I personally had seen the cruel things people wrote about him on Japanese 2ch forum.

I can only guess what happened that drove Hiro to leave social media. Other than abusive online comments, some people probably took advantage of his Twitter presence by sending inappropriate messages or even being intrusive about his brother Taka’s personal life. He tweeted an angry response about 2ch on 14 Feb 2013. Then he wrote on his blog on Ameblo (now deleted / deactivated(?)) that “people’s words can hurt". A few months later, he tweeted “I started blocking fucked up people" in English. Not long after, he tweeted his final tweet “Goodbye forever" and abandoned Twitter in Sept 2013.

He then channeled his anger through the song BLACK RAIL in 2014. He explained it in this interview.

Hiro MFS Rolling Stone Japan Aug 2014 Interview Translation

From then on, a lot of his lyrics reflected what he was going through while writing them.

It must be noted that the special project singles ALONE & 不可逆リプレイス (Fukagyaku Replace) were written for the themes of those projects. Hiro talked at length about ALONE around its release and there are a bunch of them that I posted on this blog.

For details on ALONE Project with HAL College, read these posts:

Hiro’s ALONE Blog Translation

What is HAL Project & HAL College?

不可逆リプレイス / Fukagyaku Replace was made for the historical anime Nobunaga Concerto. Interesting to note that Hiro wrote the lyrics not from the main character Saburo’s point of view but the other guy Michi. The lines, “I don’t know why but you saved me ………… “ all the way to “I will follow you ….. keep you close to me,” were directly inspired by what Michi said to Saburo in the finale or Episode 10.

The lyrics of Someday are for the late K.
Hiro said in Kaohsiung, Taiwan that “This is a very important song to me,“.

ANTITHESE Lyrics & Hiro’s personal stories

The Puzzle & Tomorrowland are about his heartbreak over Masaki’s departure.
Home is about his family who split up after his parents divorced.

STORYTELLER Fan Club
https://xxxstorytellerxxx.com

All MFS members let go of their individual public social media after the club was launched in 2016. If you’re interested to join, feel free to ask questions on how to do that.

In case you have an iOS mobile device ……..

JMS created a Japan-only iOS App called LIVEHOUSE where they feature videos from JMS artists. The videos vary from live performances, interviews, behind the scenes etc. However, if you create a different Apple ID specifically for Japan iTunes account, you can still download the App and watch those videos even if you don’t live in Japan.

*Update (12 Jan 2016): You will then get to watch videos like this one!

Lastly yet very important, don’t believe any ridiculous claim about Hiro and his brother Taka hating each other because they don’t. You’ll find such comments at some point, I’m sure. These two brothers love and support each other away from the public eye and rightfully keep their family relationship private.

I hope that will give you a good start (^_-)

真赤 (Scarlet) – My Hair is Bad PV | Cover (Megatera Zero) (Goosehouse)

can i just say how much I love this cover?? also this song is super good and I’m sure many of you can relate to it as well.

The moment I undid the hook of your bra, somehow
I already knew within the depths of my heart
It’s fine, you don’t have to pick up the phone
Before I knew it
I just wanted time to stop now
The next morning, you walked out on me
Leaving behind the key with me

At the street where the evening shower’s just let up,
The Shimokita street at dusk was just like an underground livehouse
Even though you always act cold all the time,
When it’s the two of us you’re always so warm and kind
You said, “You are fine just being my dog”

At the third train platform, the depressing sound just continues
The vague vows we exchanged, it hurts, I wanna see you
But now I can’t even hear say goodbye anymore

Come spring, I fell in love
I strained my ears,
To search for you
Even if I were to
Eventually lose that someone,
I was fine with that
Cos I decided to wait for you
The scent of summer

The mundane days I got bored in a split second,
Suddenly they started shining brightly
Even if our eyes just meet
Somehow my chest just seems like its bound
And I can’t help but wonder, on this empty cork board,
What kind of photos did you put up?
But while staring at it at your side, I chose to stay quiet
Just like your dog, I took your feelings into consideration

I just want you to look at me
But somehow I always end up spoiling you
“Don’t try to act cool,” you said
“Return me my key,
I’m taking off this collar,”
I decided to tell you

I followed you around,
And gently brushed your cheek,
But it didn’t resound
With distance comes love,
But you cut your hair again,
When a sudden gust of wind blew,
I wanted to tell you
The scent of summer

While still wearing this red collar

SWANKY DANK to debut on major label AVEX

“Once again, as a new challenge, we are going to make a major debut in September this year. We are honestly happy that the number of friends who like our music has multiplied. We feel that we want to move forward together so that we can reach more people with our music.“

The guys got this opportunity and they want to move forward and getting bigger exposure which indie labels are limited in resources in. Don’t really know about KO-TA but the other 3 guys are already in their 30s. I don’t want to see them struggling trying to fill up small Livehouses for the rest of their lives. When I was in Japan and I told locals that I went to watch SWANKY DANK in Tokyo, they gave me a blurred expression and said, “Who? Is that a Japanese band?” :-o

Yet somehow I have mixed feelings about this announcement …..

I know I’m supposed to be happy for them and I did congratulate the guys on Twitter but at the same time, there’s a feeling of worry coming from the back of my mind. I’ll explain why and I think many can relate.

Who is AVEX?

They are this big group of entertainment companies with anime, films, music and publishing subsidiaries. Among the anime they produce are One Piece and Yuri on Ice. Some of the big name singers they have are Ayumi Hamasaki, GACKT, BIG BANG and EXO.

Pros and Cons of being with a major label.

PROs

1. You get a bigger marketing machine behind you. No joke. Often, a major label can get an indie artist off the playlist on radio stations because they can pay bigger money to put their artists on rotation.

2. Bigger funding for your projects. Ok, you are to pay it back somewhat through your sales.

3. Bigger chance for international exposure. Let’s face it, a major label is just better-connected to opening the right doors.

CONs

1. Major labels’ priority is money, money and money. Sadly this often results in the formerly indie artists getting stifled in creativity. A lot of time, the artists are told to make the kind of music that the company feel would sell. Some artists choose creativity and freedom over that and hence remain indie. Likewise, if you’re not bringing in the money, they will drop you.

2. Your chance of getting screwed is also bigger. Major labels often have crazy sh*t like licensing and distribution rights or whatever legal matters which sometimes leave both the artists and the fans in the cold.

Think of this, AVEX is also the same company that bans the overseas sales of those DVDs, CDs and Blu-rays produced by AVEX Pictures. Just go to CDJapan or Amazon and try typing Yuri on Ice DVD for example and you will see the notice “shipping within Japan only” in the description. The reason given was licensing issue and that they’re working on it. Oh, really?

Now imagine if a music artist somehow gets caught in such issues. Suddenly a non-Japanese resident like me can’t buy their CDs directly from Japan. Or even worse, when you, as a fan, are trying to help promote the artist to international fans, only to find out that people from certain countries can’t watch their MVs because they are blocked on YouTube. Duh!

3. You make less money per record sale. I heard an interview of a veteran 80s metal singer Don Dokken who said that you will make more money selling 100,000 copies of your album on an indie label than selling a million copies on a major label. He said on an indie label, you can even get up to 90% of the money from the sales while you get only 10% when you’re on a major label because there are many people who will take their cuts out of the earnings. You know why Metallica re-recorded their old songs and released them on their own independent label? They want the money back to them because the master recordings of those original million-selling albums don’t belong to them. Those masters are the properties of Elektra.

Now here is when the Matsuo brothers’ past Pop career becomes useful ….

The good news is both KOJI and YUICHI are experienced. They know these pros and cons. They had been on a major label in the past. In fact, they had been on both the good and bad sides. They know what they were doing when they decided to go with a major label.

I hope things will be fine and that they will get the exposure they’re longing for. I will sit here and watch.

Good luck guys! (^^)b

ギターがしばし旅立ちました...!| My guitar went on a little journey...!

in which Kashitaro got a little high…

Ito Kashitaro here!

It has, at last, reached the point where my guitar has been entrusted to the hands of the repairmen at the repair shop.

The guitar that has worked so hard for me for seven years.

Even during winter in Kawasaki when it’s snowing and the temperature is below freezing point,

or during the summer in Yuigahama when temperatures rise over 40ºC,

or braving the rain during the rainy season,

or when 20 days out of a month were spent outdoors,

or when I didn’t change your strings for 3 years because they didn’t snap,

the guitar that worked so hard to produce sounds for me,
that Gibson J-45 Rosewood Custom,
has finally been sent to the repair shop.

And the reason was, the sound.

One day, when I was strumming as usual,
I thought, Hmm? It’s kind of different…!

It wasn’t cheerful.
The sound wasn’t cheerful.

Even the rockstar guitarist, Shibata-san, who joined me for rehearsals that day, pointed out the same thing.

Not just me, if even others have noticed this,
does it mean that the guitar which robustness I was so proud of,
has finally reached its limit?

That was what I thought.

If it were a professional guitarist who was just a little on the fussy side, he would send his guitar for maintenance at least once every six months.

This just shows how delicate a living musical instrument like the acoustic guitar is.

Ever since I bought this instrument, I have never pampered it, which is to say that I’ve never given deep thought to anything else and just strummed it everyday with all my might.

For song compositions and of course live performances, it’s always this guitar.
We’ve written so many songs together at Tamagawa and Sumidagawa.
Even the music tracks in my album, I recorded them with this guitar.

As to why I’ve never sent it for maintenance throughout these seven years, it’s because the sounds that my guitar produces have never changed, and I thought that it was alright not to.

To be frank, there were more than 10 times that my guitar fell from its stand when it was blown by the wind during street lives.

And when there was a huge earthquake, it also easily fell neck-first.

Even so, my guitar has always continued to produce the same unchanging sounds,
and I started to think that it was always going to be alright.

It was naive of me.
As expected, using it for seven years without maintenance was a push too hard.
Because I myself noticed the change in sound it was starting to have.

With that said, while weeping I decided to send my guitar for maintenance.

Of course I thought that it was better to send it to be repaired earlier, but to be honest, if it isn’t this guitar, I can’t think of any melodies at all…

I also own another travel guitar, but it’s a little difficult to think of ideas with its sound…!

So in the time when it’s under repair, I’ll use my travel guitar for song compositions.
With that in mind, I weepingly sent my guitar for maintenance.

I got the repairman to take a look at my guitar.

“Somehow, recently the sound sounds a little tired, like it’s lost its vigor and shine…
I suspect it has got to do with age, or the physical impact from dropping it so many times,
so maybe the neck has become crooked or there are some holes which caused the change in sound…!”

was what I told the repairman.

“I see, then let me take a look at it for a while,” was what he said as he unstringed my guitar and looked into the sound hole.
He knocked on the body and inspected the curve of the neck.
He carefully inspected it for about 20 minutes.

Alas!

“I’ll be honest here, but I can’t find any problems…?”

was what he said…!

It’s got to be a lie right???
was what I thought so I asked him again.

There seems to be quite a lot of dents on the body (probably from dropping it so many times) but they’re not deep enough to damage the internal structure.

And even though I did nothing to the neck throughout these seven years, it was not in the least crooked at all.

And as for the rest, the wood of the internal structure didn’t have any splits or cracks at all.

However, the change of sound still remains a fact and when I told the repairman once again, he said,
“I don’t think that would’ve happened though, why don’t you play it once more for another listen?”

So heeding his suggestion, I restringed my guitar,
and when I strummed it…!

The usual sound was produced.

What on earth was that!!!!!!!!!

I had an inkling as to why this happened.

It was the strings.

I usually use “Martin Acoustic Light Range” strings for my guitar.
One pack costs about 600 yen.

It’s the most standard item out of all standard items that every music shop in the world would be selling.

But when I went to the music shop in Shinjuku the other day, it (looked as if it) wasn’t on sale.

Hmm? It’s such a common type of guitar string, maybe it’s sold out?
But, it’s such a standard item so it’s kind of unthinkable that it’ll be sold out. Is this music shop going to be okay?
I thought as I started needlessly worrying.

As to how unthinkable this situation really is, let’s use CD shops as a comparison.

Whichever CD shop in Japan you go to,
there will always be the albums of Mr. Children, EXILE, and SEKAI NO OWARI on display.

It might be possible to find a shop that doesn’t carry any of their CDs at all if you search hard enough.

But to not carry all three of them?

All three of them??

We can safely say that the shop isn’t a fan of these three artistes,
but is this CD shop okay?!
Isn’t this an emergency?!
Dragonight?!
Lo-lo-love somebody tonight?!
(t/n: at this point kstr is high and he’s using all sorts of Japanese memes. They’re all really random and I’m really sure what they really mean or when they should be used, but they’re ドラゲナイ and ラララサムバディトゥナイ in Japanese)

as such was the situation.

I came up with a comparison that’s more relatable,
but even if I didn’t do so, there are a lot of other examples I can think of.

In an electric guitar shop, there aren’t any Gibson or Fender models.

In a livehouse, there isn’t a mic from SHURE.

In a pet shop called “DOG&CAT”, there’s only the Medaka fish (Japanese Rice Fish).

The next chapter of Hunter x Hunter is published in Shonen Jump.

In SMAP, Kimura Takuya is missing and Mori-kun has made a comeback.

There’s no hypocrisy in the 24-hour television.

The ending of Yu Yu Hakusho’s Makai Touitsu Tournament has been clearly drawn out.

In Honey and Clover, there’s no Honey.

In “Hello Kitty in collaboration with Mickey Mouse”, Minnie’s face is completely destroyed.

Melos isn’t full of rage.

Togashi-sensei I’m begging you please do your work.
(t/n: As a fan of hxh and yu yu hakusho I burst out laughing at this)

That’s about it.

If these things were to really happen in reality, we would definitely feel as if something is out of place.

We would definitely feel as if something is out of place.

Yes, it was such a grave situation.
That is, that there were no “Martin Acoustic Light Range” strings!!!

I was left with no choice, so I ended up buying strings from a brand that I didn’t use.
Because I really had no choice, I ended up stringing my guitar with the strings that cost 399 yen.

I totally forgot the fact that I bought these strings while thinking, “It’s 200 yen cheaper than usual I’m in luck!”
I TOTALLY forgot about stringing my guitar with these strings…!!

Of course it would produce a sound void of its vigour and shine!!
And I learned that there’s a lot of difference in the sound made by strings which cost 200 yen cheaper…

Martin Acoustic Light Range” costs 600 yen, but there are even more expensive strings out there.
There are some that can cost up to 1500 yen, and I’m sure they’ll produce a sound on par to their price…!!

I don’t know whether a more expensive string will produce a better sound,
but I learnt that the sound produced by the 399 yen strings were not good at all!

With that said, there was actually no problem at all with my guitar.
And since I was already at the repair shop, the consumable parts of the guitar were completely worn out, so they offered to replace them for me.
Also, it seems like even though the internal structure wasn’t damaged, the dents will also be straightened out so that holes won’t form.

That’s why I’m able to get it back within 10 days!

Yay!!!

To think that I fell into despair when I learned that it might take up to two months at other places…!

With that said,
I pray that my guitar will come home
much, much more healthier than before!!

And actually since there wasn’t any problem with the sound, after the dents have been straightened out by the repairman, I’m actually looking forward to hearing an even better sound!!!

But you know, I’m a little touched…
The acoustic guitar is really a “living” instrument.
On top of not being as durable as electric guitars,
it also takes a lot of skill to do a proper maintenance.
It’s a musical instrument that requires a lot of care and love.

Even so, I’ve never pampered it, I leave anywhere and everywhere,
I play it anywhere and everywhere,
and I bring it overseas even if it’s not stored in the hard case.

Even though I treated it so much more harshly than the average guitar owner!!

For it to not have any problems,
that guy has seriously worked its hardest for me.

No matter how much I work it, for it to not have any problems,
to me, felt like it was saying that it wasn’t dissatisfied at all…

“What a resilient guitar,” I thought and without knowing I was on the brink of tears.

Really, thank you so much.
Because of you, I was able to create so many great songs,
I was able to find the greatest partner, and I’m able to sing anywhere and everywhere.

Because even after such treatment you’re still as sturdy as before,
I might’ve worked you to the bone until the day you die.

Please come back soon. I want to play again!!!

I digress a little, but the strings that I was talking about had a change of packaging which I was unaware of, so they were actually on sale as usual…

This was the packaging it was originally sold in,

But now it’s changed to this!!
It’s even politely written there “The packaging may be changed without prior notice” (laughs)!!

Well, I wouldn’t notice this, would I…?

Of course not?!

Dragonight?!

Lo-lo-love somebody tonight?!
(t/n: here he goes again ww)

Oops, got the wrong person, it’s this guy!

(t/n: seriously don’t get this one sorry guys not the most updated when it comes to Japanese memes ;w; but thanks for reading!!!)

URUHA R&R 067 Part 1

DON’T REPOST IT ANYWHERE IF YOU WANT TO SHARE: SHARE THE LINK. IT’S VISIBLE FOR EVERYONE

the first live after the World Tour Uruha thought something like: so quiet!

seems like they had many seconds thought about going to amerika, But Uruha loved the equipment backstage-they had games, popcornmaker & basketball basket backstage and he played until short before the live

Uruha liked the Dallas live the best/ Because they couldn’t take all of their equipment with them they had to to create some tunes with computer

Uruha thinks that personally for him he’s getting stronger through worldtours and would like to perform more frequently oversea- especially for the USA he doesn’t want it to be a once in a lifetime thing

In brasil there wasn’t a platform,so they asked for one bc a livehouse usually has them right? but it wasn’t really affixed. But Uruha didn’t knew it was like that, jumped in AGONY on the platform, the platform moved and he fell down. At this moment he didn’t feel any pain, but felt really embarassed and his injury was quite bad… in the break he saw that his pants were torn and his leg was full of blood a doctor came and helped him, gave him pain killers- but they were so big, Uruha had troubles gulping them and felt even worse after it- so worse that he even didn’t want to drink beer anymore

For Taiwan there were many cosplayer- not just gazette ones, but also lolitas, somewhat anime likes, and some that looked like other band

for europa his impression was that the people grew up, and became stronger

he things the influense of the internet worldwide is awesome- his impression is that the Oversea fans are checking the PV on YT because they don’t understand japanese ergo the SNS of the guys

Uruha won’t get a twitter because he’s not doing any SNS, and because he has nothing he’d want to say there- if he’d say something it would be related to gazette and that is already done by the other members and the official account. Twitter can’t give him anything so he won’t start it. he also things that Twitter is reducing the distance between fans and artist, and that can cause many troubles too, so he thinks it’s better to have some distance to fans. also he doesn’t like it thatyou can see which bands has contact with wich band (I guess bc smaller band tend to use this to get popular) Twitter bears to many risk- but he also says that the artist who’re doing Twitter are really rock-like bc they’re living with these risks.

he never wanted to stop the blogs- bc he likes it a lot better than the SNS.It’s because you’re taking your tme to write, re-read it and then upload it, so you won’t do rash things you could regret later. he says that blog might be old fashioned, but that it suits him.

Uruha once met with Yoshiki (X-Japan) for lunch and it made him super happy that Yoshiki told him that he thinks Gazette is a good band, bc they have fighting spirit. As Uruha told this to the other members they were all so happy and were really motivated to continue even better.

the thing that is really important to continue a band for so long is, that they talk about everything. even until someone of them is crying. because all of them are stubborn and don’t want compromises, these situation happens, but they talk about it until everyone is understanding. if someone really doesn’t want something they have to say it- he wants them to say it. If they don’t say it, the other members won’t understand why they’re not progressing with their problem

they’re talking about the time where Aois condition was really bad and if they talked about this too. at this time it seemed as if the guitarist did’t get along- but now it isn’t like that anymore. But at that time, it had seemed as if Aoi put some distance between him and the gazette. At that time the understanding how gazette should progress was different, so the frustration in aoi bottled up. It was the time where he did many other things beside Gazette.Everyone had their doubts about him, but in the end it was Uruha who said that he can’t be like that and becaue the mood was kind of cold it seemed as if it was a problem between these two- even though it was in the whole band. Uruha says that even though they’re both guitarist they’re pretty different. While Uruha is the balanced type who doesn’t show emotions, Aois the exact opposite, and really emotional

they’re playing the voice messages from the fans in between!

K: until 40 I want to stay healthy and continue hitting the drums! Without destroying my body, I want to be able to hit the drums behind the 4 other member!
Re: it’s okay if you destroy yourself lol
K: huh? eh? stop it! lol

another voicemail
K: so you’re playing these one by one in between?
Re: yeah
K:oh this one hour will be fuuun (for reita he sounded sarcastic I guess)
Re:you!(I didn’t really understood what he said he’s mumbling == but smth like) what is wrong with you?you can’t just throw away peoples good wishes! Everyone is celebrating you!(he really sounds angry here)
K: *giggles all the time* thank you!
Re: everyone went through the trouble of recording this for you, sending it to us and for these people you’re answering these feelings like a demon? This is too much
K: Nono! I meant to say that it makes me happy!Like- if this continues for a whole hour I’ll feel blessed! Like one hour (he stressed this)
Re:really you… I don’t want you to be reborn again

Re: today’s topic is Kai-kun I guess K: thank you very much!

Re: how are you doing it? are you throwing your drumstick, get the next one and throw it too, or are you first watching who’ll get it?
K:yeah
Re: eh? which?
K: I first look at where I threw it! If I reach for the 2nd floor I’m especially watching and thinking ‘yeah I did it!’

A fan requested Anti Pop bc she likes Kais 1,2,3,4 in the beginning
K: okay… should we do it live?
Re: eh?????After saying 1,2,3,4 the song should start? lol
K: lol after 1,2,3,4 there will be 1,2,3,4 again
Re: okay let’s try it?
K: eh? should we? really?
Re: let’s do it!
K: I’m going to do it, is it okay?
Re: yeah
K: Ok I’m going to do it!
Re: yes Kai: …. 1,2,3,4! …. *both start laughing really hard*
after the song
K: 1,2,3,4…..! After just hearing it, it sounds a little different, doesn’t it?
Re: ahh yeah it does. your voice was still young there
K: it was really, really different!
Re: that’s because Kai-san from now has money right? the one there didn’t have anything
K: ahhh because I have money now huh
Re: sorry, I’m really sorry haha

If they think that tax are good
Re: everyone knows about this, right? That Leader is paying taxes, but doesn’t has to worry about his money, right, this kind of image. But it’s wrong! The tax I’m paying is going straight to Leader! That’s why he doesn’t have to pay anything
K: *giggles* ah it’s like that?
Re: it is, isn’t it?
K: ah well yeah right? Something like this

K: what is my image becoming???? I really wonder what my image is becoming like…
Re: well the lamp blinked…(they have a lamp that blinks when it’s time to change the topic)

Reita is envious - he wants to have something like these voice messages too, so Kai had to promis him that he’ll do it for him next year

diets
K: what I really want to convey is that you shouldn’t destroy your body with diets!
Re: I want to give an advice too! I mean it’s great to have a goal like 'I want to lose 5 kg’
but what’s more important than the kg you lose is how it looks on your body. That’s why it’s a little difficult to just watch the weight. For example if you get muscles your fat reduces, but muscels are heavier, so even tho you thought you lost weight you didn’t. But your body is getting thinner, right?
K: yeah
Re: because of this it’s difficult to say that you want to lose 5 kg right?
K: so it’s about the look right?
Re: yeah, that’s why I’d advise to watch yourself everyday naked in the mirror
K: ah that’s nice
Re: I’m doing 3 times a day
K: ahh, at that time, would it be okay for me to be there too? #
Re: ehh???
K: lol
Re: are you maybe saying that it would help like magic?
both: lol
Re:I want to say something that might get her angry at me,but… losing weight is easy.
K:you know, you just angered all woman in this world
Re: nono it’s what I’m really thinking but I’m trying my hardest to get more weight, and that is more difficult!
K: heee but isn’t it easy to gain weight?
Re: yeah well it’s easy with sweets and cakes and such- but without these it’s really difficult. I don’t gain any weight at all!
K: hmm weill that might be the case, right… so you want to do it for your health?
Re: yes
K: so that your muscles would come back?
Re: yeah! but let’s quit this talk here lol

they’re talking about random holidays- like the different prefectures should have different days off so it wouldn’t be so crowded everywhere
Re: and you know, I want to do a live on a saturday! For us we’re always doing lives on weekdays and many people can’t come right?
K: ahhh yeah I understand that…but I want you guys to understand something…Kusaka-kun ne…he’s always making us do lives on weekdays, and when we ask why it’s always: because it’s not livehouse! the people wouldn’t come!
Re: yeah… but well our Tour Manager alwas have contracts for 2or3 years, so after that,
K: because we’re rich…we ca do what we want,right
they were talking about opening a 'kai-hall’ obviously they would get money from artist to play there- but the lamp reacted again and didn’t let them continue this money talk lol

Re: Kais birthday seems to be from the 27th to the 29th October lol
